Notre Dame brings former player Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa back to its front office The Fighting Irish alum will be working on recruiting.
Notre Dame will welcome a former player into its front-office ranks as part of the postseason personnel shuffle.
In addition to making the hiring of Jourdan Blake official, the Fighting Irish have announced that alum Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa will be working for the team as Director of Recruiting Advancement.
Ariella Ellis joins as Director of On-Campus Recruiting.
New general manager Mike Martin is filling out his staff just in time for spring ball. Martin replaced Chad Bowden, who decamped for rival USC.
With Notre Dame looking to return to the College Football Playoff -- and perhaps to win the national championship, instead of falling just short as the Irish did last season -- the strength of the front office will be just as important as the quality of coaching, especially in the era of NIL.
Tagovailoa-Amosa played five years at Notre Dame as a defensive lineman. He had 79 tackles -- 49 solo -- forced two fumbles and recovered four, including one for a touchdown. He also had five sacks.
He signed with the Las Vegas Raiders as an undrafted free agent in 2022 but did not make the team. He was on the practice squad before being placed on the injured list. He worked for the LSU Tigers last season as a graduate assistant, coaching the defensive side of the ball.

In April's NFL Draft, 10 Ducks were selected, the most in a single draft in program history. Many were shocked to see Gabriel be selected as high as he was when the Cleveland Browns took him in the third round. Even more surprising was the fact that they drafted him with Shedeur Sanders still on the board. Advertisement Now, the two are battling it out in Browns minicamp. While some out there believe in Sanders, Gabriel has received good news regarding his current standing with the team. In their 11-on-11 drills, Gabriel has been seen working with the first-team offense, something beat writer Mary Kay Cabot believes is significant. 'I think it's very significant right now that they're throwing first-teamers at Dillon," wrote Kabot. "Dillon is playing with the first-team offense against the first-team defense. I mean, those are choice quality reps that he's getting.' The Browns are one of the more intriguing quarterback battles around the league, with Gabriel, Sanders, Joe Flacco, and Kenny Pickett. Advertisement 'The Browns are positioning Gabriel to potentially serve as the backup quarterback behind a veteran starter, likely Joe Flacco or Pickett," Kabot wrote. "Sanders, meanwhile, is on a longer developmental timeline.' Things can change between now and the team's official training camp in August, but the Browns have seemingly liked what they've seen from Gabriel if they're not afraid to throw first-team reps at him. While he's not the biggest, Gabriel has a solid arm with great ball placement. They likely won't build around him, but they can likely keep you competitive in a game if he's thrown into the game in an emergency situation. While Dante Moore is slated to be the starting quarterback for the Ducks this season, Oregon Ducks head coach Dan Lanning has been busy on the recruiting trail and made some waves at the position. Advertisement A 6-foot-2.5, 200lbs quarterback out of Murrieta, California, Bryson Beaver is a 3-star quarterback ranked No. 55 at the position in the class of 2026. He had initially committed to Boise State University. But after being offered by the Ducks Wednesday night, Beaver decommitted from Boise State. 'Earlier this week, after speaking with Coach Danielson, I made the decision to decommit from Boise State and reopen my recruiting process,' Beaver wrote. 'This decision was a tremendously difficult one, because of how good the Boise State family has been to us. "My family and I have nothing but gratitude for the kindness that has been shown to us by the Boise State coaching staff and 'Bronco Nation' as a whole. I wish the Boise State family nothing but the best in the future.' Ohio State Athletic Director Ross Bjork meets with media to discuss state of program College athletics continue to be transformed at breakneck speed. Over the last few years, we've seen conferences re-align, Name, Image and Likeness become prevalent and extremely meaningful, the transfer portal turn college athletics into free-agency, and now, we have direct revenue sharing taking center stage after the approval of the House Settlement. With all of that going on, and with the recent news that will again change things, Ohio State Athletic Director Director Ross Bjork took some time to meet with the media to give a state of college athletics, what it means for Ohio State, and provide some direction of the program given the size and impact of such a massive athletic department. He also took time to field some questions from the media that made their way to the banks of the Olentangy.
