CTV News21-07-2025
A South Simcoe police vehicle was hit by another car late Monday morning in Bradford while officers were responding to a separate incident involving a vehicle fire.
The initial call came in around 11 a.m. for a car fire near Line 9 and County Road 27. While at the scene, police say a marked cruiser was struck by another vehicle.
Police say they launched an investigation into both the vehicle fire and the collision with the cruiser. The fire was determined to be accidental, with no criminal activity suspected.
As a result of the collision probe, a 64-year-old man from Newmarket was charged with failing to pull to the right for an emergency vehicle and making an unsafe turn.
Police confirmed no injuries were reported in either incident.
