Enhypen has ranked as one of the biggest names in K-pop around the world for half a decade now. The group has been steadily growing its fanbase in Western markets after breaking out and becoming superstars in South Korea. It took the vocal troupe several years to reach the United Kingdom's music charts, but with each passing project, the group becomes bigger and bigger.
Enhypen lands a new hit song in the U.K. this week with 'Bad Desire (With or Without You).' The track debuts on both the Official Singles Downloads and Official Singles Sales charts, opening at Nos. 20 and 21, respectively.
As 'Bad Desire (With or Without You)' debuts, Enhypen earns its first top 40 hit on both of those purchase-centric tallies in the U.K. The tune brings the K-pop favorites to a new high point, outpacing 'XO (Only If You Say Yes)' by more than 20 spaces.
Enhypen has now collected five total hits on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts. The K-pop group first landed on these lists in April 2024 with 'Sweet Venom, and since then, the outfit has appeared with ' XO (Only If You Say Yes),' 'No Doubt,' 'Lucid,' and now 'Bad Desire (With or Without You).' So far, every one of those tunes has managed just one turn on the tally.
'Bad Desire (With or Without You)' serves as the lead single from Enhypen's new EP Desire: Unleash. That short set appears only on the Official Album Downloads chart in the U.K., where it soars to a new high of No. 31 after debuting at No. 80 last frame, a position it hit after a shortened tracking period of availability.
Enhypen had been collecting placements on the Official Album Downloads list for years before scoring a hit song. The group launched on the downloads-only tally in December 2020 and has thus far scored six bestselling releases, with its newest arrival landing somewhere in the middle in terms of peak position.

What to know about BTS as the K-pop group returns from military service

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — It's official — almost. Soon, all seven members of the massively popular K-pop group BTS will have completed South Korea's mandatory military service. Rapper Suga will be the last of the bandmates to be released on Saturday, after fulfilling his duty as a social service agent, an alternative to serving in the military that he reportedly chose due to a shoulder injury. BTS' entertainment agency said no events are planned for Suga's release out of concern for overcrowding. The six others, RM, V, Jimin, Jung Kook, Jin and j-hope, served in the army. Earlier this month, four members of BTS — RM, V, Jimin and Jung Kook — were discharged from South Korea's mandatory military service. Jin, the eldest BTS member, was discharged in June 2024 as was j-hope in October. BTS is expected to reunite later this year. Ahead of that highly anticipated homecoming, here's what you need to know about the group. The rise of BTS BTS — short for Bangtan Sonyeondan, or 'Bulletproof Boy Scouts' in Korean — debuted in June 2013 under the company Big Hit Entertainment, now known as HYBE. The seven-member group consists of RM, Jin, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook. The group launched in 2013 with the hip-hop heavy single album '2 Cool 4 Skool,' releasing three full-length projects before really gaining momentum with their 2016 album 'Wings.' Their global breakthrough came in 2017 when 'DNA' entered the Billboard Hot 100, making BTS the first Korean boy band to achieve such a feat. The song's success was followed by a performance at the American Music Awards, further fueling their international fan base. The band is largely credited with bringing K-pop to the international stage, and with good reason. Across their discography, BTS broke boundaries and records: In 2020, they released the five-time platinum 'Dynamite,' their first all-English single, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 — a first for an all-South Korean musical act. At the height of their popularity, BTS was not only the biggest K-pop group on the planet, but the biggest boy band overall. Global appeal In fact, they've been certified platinum many times over, according to The Recording Industry Association of America. Their platinum successes include: — 2018's 'Mic Drop;' — 2020's 'Map of the Soul: 7,' 'Love Yourself: Answer,' and 'Idol;' — 2021's 'Be,' and song of the summer 'Butter;' — and high-profile collaborations 'My Universe' with Coldplay and 'Boy With Luv' featuring Halsey. BTS has also been nominated for five Grammy Awards. Their first, for 'Dynamite' in the best pop duo/group performance category, marked the first time a K-pop act received a Grammy nod. As their global popularity grew, the septet also became international advocates for social justice. Their 2018 address to the United Nations General Assembly launched the 'Love Myself' campaign in partnership with UNICEF to combat violence, abuse and bullying while promoting self-esteem among young people. The group's commitment to human rights activism continued in 2020 when they donated $1 million to the Black Lives Matter movement, denouncing racial discrimination and violence. Their fan base, known the world over as ARMY, responded by matching the donation within 24 hours. Their dual impact on music and social causes culminated in 2022 when they were invited to the White House to discuss anti-Asian hate crimes with President Joe Biden. BTS' mandatory military service stirs debate In South Korea, all able-bodied men aged 18 to 28 are required by law to perform 18-21 months of military service under a conscription system meant to deter aggression from rival North Korea. The law gives special exemptions to athletes, classical and traditional musicians, and ballet and other dancers if they have obtained top prizes in certain competitions and are assessed to have enhanced national prestige. K-pop stars and other entertainers aren't subject to such privileges. However, in 2020, BTS postponed their service until age 30 after South Korea's National Assembly revised its Military Service Act, allowing K-pop stars to delay their enlistment until age 30. There was heated public debate in 2022 over whether to offer special exemptions of mandatory military service for BTS members, until the group's management agency announced in October 2022 that all seven members would fulfill their duties. Break allows time for solo projects BTS tiered their enlistments, giving ample time for its members to focus on solo projects while the group was on a break. Jin released two EPs, 'Happy' in 2024 and 'Echo' in May of this year. Suga dropped his debut solo album, 'D-Day,' in 2023 under his moniker Agust D. Also in 2024, RM released his second solo album, the elastic, experimental 'Right Place, Wrong Person', and j-hope released an EP, 'Hope on the Street Vol. 1.' Earlier this year, j-hope embarked on his first solo tour. Jimin released two projects, 2023's 'Face' and 2024's 'Muse.' V's debut album, the smooth alt-R&B 'Layover,' arrived in 2023, as did Jung Kook's retro-pop debut, 'Golden.' ___ AP Music Writer Maria Sherman reported from New York.

Chris Brown due to enter plea over ‘bottle attack' charge

R&B singer Chris Brown is due to appear in court to enter a plea after he was charged over an alleged bottle attack at a London nightclub two years ago. The American musician, 36, was able to continue with his scheduled international tour after he was freed on conditional bail last month. Brown, accused of causing grievous bodily harm to Abraham Diaw in February 2023, is set to appear at Southwark Crown Court on Friday morning alongside his co-defendant, US national Omololu Akinlolu, 38, for a plea and trial preparation hearing. The Go Crazy singer had to pay a £5 million security fee to the court as part of the bail agreement, which is a financial guarantee to ensure a defendant returns to court and may be forfeited if they breach bail conditions. Brown and Akinlolu have both been charged relating to the alleged assault at the Tape venue in Hanover Square in Mayfair on February 19 2023. Manchester Magistrates' Court heard last month that Mr Diaw was standing at the bar of the Tape nightclub when he was struck several times with a bottle, and was then pursued to a separate area of the nightclub where he was punched and kicked repeatedly. Brown was arrested at Manchester's Lowry Hotel at 2am on May 15 by detectives from the Metropolitan Police. He is said to have flown into Manchester Airport on a private jet in preparation for the UK tour dates. Brown was released from HMP Forest Bank in Salford, Greater Manchester, on May 21. Shortly after being released from prison, Brown posted an Instagram story referencing his upcoming tour. It said: 'FROM THE CAGE TO THE STAGE!!! BREEZYBOWL.'

Stream Cleaner and two more movies below. Recommended Videos We also have guides to the best new movies to stream, the best movies on Netflix, the best movies on Hulu, the best movies on Amazon Prime Video, the best movies on Max, and the best movies on Disney+. Cleaner (2025) Die Hard on/in a (blank) is one of the most successful action movie templates. Die Hard on a bus is Speed, Die Hard on a plane is Air Force One, and Die Hard on a ship is Under Siege. Let's add Die Hard in a London skyscraper, Cleaner, to the canon. Daisy Ridley stars as Joey Locke, a former soldier who escaped her London household with her brother (Matthew Tuck) after years of abuse. Joey now works as a window cleaner at One Canada Square, the third-tallest building in the UK. On the day Michael accompanies her to work, environmental extremists, led by Marcus Blake (Clive Owen), interrupt an energy company's gala and take the guests as hostages. Unbeknownst to Joey, Michael is stuck in the building. It's time for the window cleaner to channel her inner John McClane and save the day. Stream Cleaner on Max. Dredd (2012) One of the mysteries surrounding Dredd is the involvement of writer Alex Garland. Did he take over for Pete Travis and direct the movie? After over a decade of rumors, Garland finally came clean this year to GQ, admitting to 'ghost-directing' the sci-fi action film. Knowing Garland's filmmaking style now, it's clear the Ex Machina director stepped in and improved Dredd. Based on the Judge Dredd comic strip, Dredd introduces audiences to Mega City One, an overcrowded and violent metropolis on the East Coast. Nearly 20,000 crimes are reported daily. The only semblance of the law exists with the judges — cops who are judge, jury, and executioner. The most prominent judge is Dredd (Karl Urban). The famed judge and a rookie judge (Olivia Thirlby) must restore order to a 200-story high-rise apartment run by drug lord Ma-Ma (Lena Headey). With terrific special effects and gritty action, Garland might be the best sci-fi filmmaker currently in Hollywood. Stream Dredd on Max. Love Lies Bleeding (2024) Love Lies Bleeding has the vibes of Natural Born Killers and a Coen Brothers neo-noir. Set in 1989, the romantic thriller chronicles the lesbian relationship between Lou (Kristen Stewart), a hermit-like gym owner, and Jackie (Katy O'Brian), a bodybuilder preparing for a competition in Las Vegas. The two sleep together and fall in love. Lou even supplies Jackie with steroids to compete at a higher level. Things take a sinister turn after Lou and Jackie are caught in a murder conspiracy that requires a cover-up. We'll stop there to avoid spoilers. Expect blood, sex, and violence in this brutal and effective thriller. Stream Love Lies Bleeding on Max.
