PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection restock live — where to get limited-edition PS5 Slim, DualSense and PS Portal today
Second chances don't come around all too often, especially when it comes to scoring limited-edition items like the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection.
If you'd asked me just a few days ago whether I thought Sony would ever restock the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection, my answer would have been a resounding no. But it turns out I'd have been very much mistaken.
To my great surprise, Sony has confirmed it will be restocking select items from the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection this week. But quantities will be "highly limited" so you'll need to check out super fast when they drop.
The ultra-rare PS5 Pro bundle isn't resurfacing, but in the U.K., the limited-edition PS5 Slim Bundle, PlayStation Portal and DualSense controller decked out in retro PS1-style grey are all returning today (July 21) at 10 a.m. BST.
Meanwhile, in the U.S., the restock is pretty limited. Only the 30th Anniversary DualSense controller will be restocked (on July 21 at 7 a.m. PT). But still, this nostalgia-baiting PS5 pad has been sold out for months, and is still highly sought-after, so I'm confident it's going to sell out in a matter of seconds.
You will need a PlayStation Plus membership (any tier) to purchase and the restock is taking place exclusively at PlayStation Direct. Don't have a PS+ subscription? There will be a second restock open to all on Wednesday, July 23.
I've been tracking hard-to-buy gaming items for more than five years, from the original run of the 30th Anniversary Collection to the currently sold-out Nintendo Switch 2, and I'm here to help you score a limited-edition item in this restock with live updates and the latest reports on availability all week long.
The regular PS5 DualSense Controller has been given a special 30th Anniversary makeover. This limited-edition PS5 pad celebrates the look of the original PlayStation controller and is the most affordable item in the 30th Anniversary Collection. It will be restocked at 7 a.m. PT on July 21. Check stock: $79 @ Amazon | $79 @ Best Buy | $79 @ GameStop | $79 @ Walmart
The PS5 Digital Edition 30th Anniversary Edition Bundle includes a PS5 Digital Edition console with 1TB storage, a DualSense controller and a vertical stand all decked out in a retro gray colorway. Again, it comes with a Console Cover for the PS5 Disc Drive, but the Disc Drive itself is sold separately. It's set to be restocked on PlayStation Direct at 10 a.m. BST on Monday, July 21.
The PlayStation Portal Remote Player has got a retro coat of paint to celebrate PlayStation's 30th Anniversary. This device allows you to stream games from your PS5 console to this handheld device, allowing you to enjoy your games away from your actual console (as long as you have a strong internet connection).
The PS5's DualSense Controller has never looked more nostalgic than it does wrapped in this PS1-themed colorway as part of the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection. This limited-edition controller is being restocked at 10 a.m. BST on July 21, but you'll need a PS+ membership to buy.

If You See This Message, Your Amazon Account Is Under Attack
Attacks suddenly surge 5000%. A new warning has just been issued for millions of Amazon users, as a new wave of attacks on accounts has suddenly surged 5000%. This will come at you by text message, which is nothing new. Between undelivered packages, unpaid tolls and motoring fines, the scale of text attacks sweeping the U.S. and Europe is 'out of control.' The team at Guardio tells me that these new 'Amazon refund scam texts' have surged 'more than 50 times in the past two weeks.' Even in the world of text message attacks, that's some increase. 'These texts began appearing shortly after Prime Day, which started two weeks ago on July 8,' and spawned plenty of other attacks as well. The texts are nothing to do with Amazon, and the attackers do not even know you have an account. They're just playing a numbers game and most of you do. 'The link in the message leads to a fake Amazon site designed to steal your account details and hack it.' Amazon warns that 'scammers may send text messages claiming to be Amazon,' and that account holders should be 'mindful' if they 'receive a text message for orders or deliveries that you are not expecting.' It's the same for refunds. Fake Amazon texts and login But again this is a numbers game. The attackers assume you will have made a recent purchase on Amazon and who doesn't want an unexpected refund? The link is a short-code to beat Amazon's other warning to watch for misspelled URLs. If you receive this text, and many millions of you will. delete it immediately per the advice from the FBI and state and local police forces. If you have any doubts, log into your Amazon account using your app or usual methods and check there. These text attacks are now an industry with billions of messages sent. Campaigns are being driven by organized criminal gangs, largely out of China and beyond the reach of U.S. law enforcement. The telecoms networks filter out plenty of texts, but attackers use farms of normal phones and SIMs to bypass normal checks. The hope is that there will be a technical solution at some point. Google's AI-driven scam detection is one such hope, as are new solutions from elsewhere. Trend Micro warns that '30% of consumers have been scammed online, nearly 40% didn't realize it until they'd already lost money and most didn't use any tech to verify the scam — relying on instinct alone.' Its new ScamCheck tech is another potential bandaid.

Check out this great neo-noir before it leaves Amazon Prime Video next week (July 2025)
When you're actually trying to figure out which titles you should prioritize on a given streaming service, it can feel almost impossible. Speaking for myself, I know that trying to pick a single thing to watch from among the vast array of titles available on services like Prime Video can feel almost impossible. What I often do, then, is pick something that won't be available for long. Prime Video has plenty of titles coming and going all the time, and if you're looking for one to watch this month, I'd start with To Live and Die in L.A. Here are three reasons you should check it out: Recommended Videos We also have guides to the best new movies to stream, the best movies on Netflix, the best movies on Hulu, the best movies on Amazon Prime Video, the best movies on HBO Max, and the best movies on Disney+. It's a dark, moody action movie Although To Live and Die in L.A. is in some ways a standard cop action movie of the 1980s, in others it's much stranger and more nihilistic than that description makes it sound. The film follows a rogue cop who, after losing his partner to a master counterfeiter, becomes hellbent on revenge. As he pushes the boundaries of his job, we find ourselves wondering whether he's gone way too far in the pursuit of justice. It's a nervy movie that you might walk away from hating both the hero and the villain, which remains one of the reasons why it's aged well. It's rarely available to stream This is a slightly unusual reason, but one of the best reasons to check out To Live and Die in L.A. is that the movie is actually usually pretty hard to watch on streaming. This is a rare window where the movie's available, and given that it's one of the definitive action movies of the 1980s, it's well worth your time. Given the uncertainty of licensing rights, you can never tell when a movie is going to pop up on streaming and when it might disappear for years at a time. While streaming isn't the only way to watch movies, it's often the most convenient, so take advantage of this convenience while you can. It features Willem Dafoe at his villainous best While the entire ensemble of To Live and Die in L.A. is doing excellent work, the movie's true standout performer is almost undoubtedly Willem Dafoe, who plays the master counterfeiter. Dafoe is not known for playing nice guys, but his performance as the villain at the center of this movie is particularly unsettling because he's so cold and calculating. Dafoe can be big and hammy, but here, he underplays almost every scene in a way that makes him seem deeply real and just as malevolent as you would want him to be. It's a great early turn from one of our best actors. You can watch To Live and Die in L.A. on Amazon Prime Video.
