Service dog hides out in Walmart display
The dog, a service animal, who isn't usually spooked so easily, jumped on to a high shelf display of broccoli and cabbage, buried his way into the back of the unit, and refused to come back out.
The owner, tried to coax the animal out to no avail, and while bystanders filmed the scene, the owner ended up hauling the dog by his collar and finally lifting him down, much to the worry and concern of many social media commentators.

Several discussions on social media platforms like Facebook and X (Twitter) have been highlighting the issue of dogs in supermarkets, and the potential health and safety concerns.
Some people posted seeing dogs travelling around the stores in shopping trolleys or even in the baby seats of trolleys raising concerns about potential contamination and even in some cases, the risk of allergies. A pet in a shopping cart at a supermarket – Source: Bloomberg
While Walmart welcomes service animals as defined by the ADA, (Americans with Disabilities) they do not permit pets in their stores.
The incident in the vegetable display, while some saw it as cute, others as not so cute, it serves as a reminder of the potential problems that can arise when pets, even service animals are brought into grocery stores, even if unintentional.
We think the poor doggie was just spooked and trying to hide out, or else he found the cold vegetables very soothing on his tummy in the extreme heat of the Colorado summer.

The dad was seen making the same jump just five days earlier CRASH TRAGEDY Parents both die in tandem paraglider crash leaving daughter, 3, orphaned after dad had 'bought aircraft two weeks ago' A THREE-year-old has been left orphaned after a paraglider carrying her parents crashed during a tandem flight. The former couple were separated but had a three-year-old daughter together. They were reportedly on good terms, and Luan had invited her to join him for the flight. Footage taken after the crash showed rescue teams searching steep, wooded terrain for the victims. Firefighters were seen moving carefully over the hillside as a helicopter hovered overhead. The Rio de Janeiro State Military Fire Department said they were called at 12:57pm and an ambulance was sent to Charitas Beach. Both parents were tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Five days earlier, Luan had posted images of himself making the same jump from the Niteroi City Park ramps with at least two other people. Friends described him as a careful and cautious pilot who avoided flying in poor conditions. Following the accident, all activities on paragliding ramps in the local area were suspended. Roads to the launch site were closed and signs were put up reminding visitors to hire pilots accredited by authorities. Cops are still probing the circumstances of the accident. It comes after a Brit tourist died in a horror paragliding crash in Turkey after his parachute failed in April. The 22-year-old man leapt from a 6,500ft cliff at the famous Babadag spot in Oludeniz with a pilot, who also died. More to follow...
