She further mentions in the caption, 'Dry mouth = deeper dysfunction.'
The nutritionist clarifies that dry mouth is not always a simple case of not drinking enough water. Instead, she elaborates on the other following problems in the body which majorly exhibit the symptom of dehydration-
Hormone shifts (like in menopause).
High stress.
Certain medicines.
Poor gut health.
In the video, she then explains, 'Dry mouth or xerostomia means that your nervous system is fried, your hormones are shifting and or the salivary glands are undernourished.'
According to the nutritionist, how saliva gets support from other nutrients to further ease the body's functions. She says:
Zinc for enzyme function.
B vitamins to activate the glands.
Omega 3 and other adaptogens to reduce the inflammation in the nervous system.
Probiotics because the saliva is where the gut-brain access story begins.
Pooja says, 'Remember all those of you who are taking antidepressants or antihistamines regularly or blood pressure medication that reduces your saliva production.'
So what is the solution? In the same video, she shared, 'Remember to support your salivary glands, you have to hydrate smart but nourish deeper,' reassuring that the key remains in the stack of vitamins from various healthy foods that enhance the glands of the body.

Weight loss plan for busy professions: Reduce belly fat in 7 days with her 20-minute walking technique
For those juggling tight schedules and long workdays, weight loss often takes a backseat. But fitness coach Neha has shared a simple routine that's proving to be effective even for the busiest people. Through a walking hack that takes just 20 minutes, she claims to have lost nearly 1 kg in a single week—without intense cardio sessions. Walking, Not Running, Is the Secret In a recent Instagram post, Neha revealed a surprising fact: 'I started this a WEEK AGO and already lost nearly 1KG!' The approach? A treadmill walk after workouts, done at a speed of 4.0 and an incline of 12. Unlike typical cardio that leaves you breathless, this method is low-impact yet targeted. Neha admitted she didn't expect results initially because it didn't leave her 'huffing and puffing,' but staying consistent and eating clean made a noticeable difference. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Moose Approaches Girl At Bus Stop In Dhaka - Watch What Happens Happy in Shape Undo Ideal for Hectic Work Schedules Neha recommends the walk after strength training sessions or other workouts. It's quick, manageable, and suits those who can't spare hours for exercise. She adds, 'Highly recommend if your goal this summer is to burn fat and maintain muscle!!' Her results in just one week make the method ideal for professionals looking for efficient fat loss strategies. Why It Works: The Four Key Benefits Neha broke down the science behind the 20-minute walk and explained why it works better than extended cardio for burning belly fat. 1. Fat is the fuel After weight training, the body is low on carbohydrates. That's when it turns to stored fat—especially around the belly—for energy. 2. Fat-burning zone The incline is not random. It helps raise the heart rate just enough to burn fat without stressing the body too much. 3. Afterburn effect Neha points out the benefit of EPOC (Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption), also known as the afterburn effect. It keeps the body burning calories long after the workout ends. 4. Fat loss with low stress She emphasizes that this approach avoids high cortisol levels that usually spike with intense cardio. It's a steady yet rewarding process that doesn't exhaust the body. Diet Is Non-Negotiable While the walking method is impactful, Neha stressed that results are tied to proper nutrition. She clearly mentioned that it worked 'as long as your diet's on point.' This highlights the importance of balancing physical activity with food habits, especially for time-strapped individuals who may often rely on quick meals. For professionals who can't commit to long workout sessions or feel drained after long work hours, Neha's walking hack offers a realistic alternative. It doesn't demand drastic lifestyle changes but offers noticeable results in a short time. With only 20 minutes a day, this method supports fat loss, muscle maintenance, and improved metabolism—all while keeping stress levels low. For those struggling to find a starting point in their weight loss journey, this could be a practical step forward.

Eye candy or just a quick fix? The real deal on under eye patches
They're glossy, crescent-shaped, and all over your Instagram feed. Whether it's Alia Bhatt indulging in post-swim self-care or Hailey Bieber casually masking mid-flight, under eye patches have emerged as the skincare equivalent of wearing sunglasses indoors — both stylish and strategic. But are they miracle workers, or just momentary magic? According to dermatologists, the answer lies somewhere in between. 'Under eye patches can be effective, but their results are typically short-term,' says Dr Deepali Bhardwaj, dermatologist. 'They work well for dryness or flaky skin. Ingredients like glycerin or collagen can nourish the delicate under-eye area. But if you're dealing with deeper concerns like nutritional deficiencies or chronic pigmentation, patches alone won't do much.' The skin around the eyes is the thinnest on the face, making it more vulnerable to fatigue, dryness, fine lines, and puffiness. That's where under eye patches come in — offering an instant cooling, de-puffing and hydrating boost. 'They're great for tired eyes,' explains dermatologist Dr Vidushi Jain. 'Ingredients like hyaluronic acid, peptides, caffeine, and antioxidants can soothe and plump the skin temporarily.' But while they deliver a hit of hydration and a few photo-ready moments, don't expect long-term transformation. Experts recommend using targeted serums with actives such as retinol, niacinamide, Vitamin C, and peptides to tackle stubborn concerns like fine lines, dullness, or pigmentation. 'Even the best serums have limits,' Dr Jain notes. 'Issues like collagen loss or chronic pigmentation often need in-clinic treatments — chemical peels, lasers or fillers — under expert supervision.' Dermatologist Dr Kiran Sethi agrees, adding that while under eye patches mostly offer hydration and a protective barrier, consistent use does contribute to skin health. 'They help lock in moisture and support the skin barrier,' she says. 'But for real change — especially around pigmentation or signs of ageing — you need stronger actives like alpha arbutin, retinol, or polyhydroxy acids in more potent forms.' So, are they worth the hype? Dermatologists say yes — but with caveats. Think of under eye patches as your skincare sidekick, not the superhero. They're perfect before a big day, after a sleepless night, or mid-flight when your eyes need a little extra TLC. But for results that truly go beyond surface-level, invest in targeted skincare, stay consistent, and don't hesitate to turn to the pros when needed.

Video shows Bihar Ayurvedic practitioner performing C-section without safety protocols, sparks outrage: ‘Absolutely shocking'
A shocking video of an Ayurvedic practitioner allegedly performing a caesarean section under unhygienic and unsafe conditions is raising eyebrows on social media. According to the viral post, the incident occurred in Bihar's Siwan and the 'doctor' in question has been identified as Kanchan Kumari. The clip, shot by Kumari's relative, shows the procedure being conducted in what appears to be a makeshift operating room, lacking even the most basic safety measures. The video further highlights Kumari performing the surgery without wearing a surgical mask, gloves, or cap. Sharing the video, an X handle 'THE SKIN DOCTOR' condemned the incident. 'A 'gynaecologist' who can't even spell the word correctly is performing a C-section in what looks like a storage room, with zero infection control,' the caption read. 'Her family member is casually filming a reel while the surgery is underway. She is not wearing a mask and surgical cap. The room is crowded with people in regular clothes, including the patient's relatives, who are standing around and watching the procedure like it's a live show, without scrubs, masks, or gloves. Probably no anaesthetist either,' the post said. Revealing the identity of the practitioner, the post wrote, 'She is Kanchan Kumari from Siwan, an Ayurvedic practitioner. Given how frequently the govt changes healthcare policies, I'm not sure whether she's qualified or trained to perform this procedure, but judging by her methods, she is certainly liable for criminal negligence.' Along with the video, the handle also attached a screenshot of Kumari's Instagram handle and bio which read, 'gynecologist and obstetrics.' In the viral video, a man can be heard saying in Hindi, 'She is my aunt Kanchan Kumari and is performing a C-section. The mothers necessarily give birth to boys when she performs the procedure.' There is no evidence of sterilised equipment, while the patient's relatives stood around the operating table in casual clothes, some even filming the procedure. couldn't verify the credibility of the video.
