Accies' women's team will play in the top flight next season after becoming SWPL2 Champions last season.
And McAvennie was at New Douglas Park this week to meet some of the players and hand over a cheque for £1000.
Macca, who hosts the podcast alongside journalist pal Simon Houston, said: "I am absolutely delighted that we have been able to support the Accies Women's team like this.
"It's no secret that in the past I wasn't the biggest fan of women's football and didn't watch a lot of it, but fair's fair - I have become a convert and I have been massively impressed with some of the games I have watched.

"Hamilton did incredibly well last season and now they are back in the top flight and I'm thrilled that our logo will be on their shorts as they go for more glory.
"A lot of my mates are poking fun telling me that I was very much a fan of the ladies back in the day, so I'm expecting a bit of a ribbing. But I can take it!."
"But in all seriousness, I'm delighted at the massive increase in profile that the women's game has enjoyed, not just in Scotland but all over the world.
"I've been watching a lot of the Euros which are on at the moment and it's just a pity the Scottish team didn't make it to Switzerland. Let's hope they can be back on the big stage soon.

"And it would be great to see some of the Hamilton team showcasing their talents on the world stage.
"We will give our podcast followers regular updates on their scores as the new season progresses.".

"This will be one of the biggest seasons in the team's history after returning to the top flight of Scottish women's football.
"We couldn't do what we do without the support of people like Frank. We are not full-time so every penny we receive is really important and extremely helpful."

Hibs boss David Gray ready to unleash record signing Thibauld Klidje vs Midtjylland but £1m rated star doesn't travel
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) HIBS boss David Gray has revealed record £1 million-plus capture Thibault Klidje is primed for a big debut in Herning. But Gray - full of pride ahead of his first Euro tie in the hot-seat - is anxious that the Togo international hitman is given time to meet growing expectations. It could be he's used from the bench against FC Midtjylland - with Martin Boyle or Kieron Bowie starting in a lone striker role. But, regardless, Gray is prepared to be patient with the 24-year-old as he plans for the Europa League second round qualifying first leg and, ultimately, the target of a history-making first group stage appearance for Hibs. He said: 'I'm very excited about Thibault. 'I think at the same time he's only been in the door five minutes, so it's something that I don't want to put too much expectation on early. 'He's played at a very good level, scored a lot of goals and affects games of football at a really high level. So I think he's a really good addition. 'But it doesn't happen overnight; adapting to new styles, to me, to my Scottish language rather than just the normal English that people would learn. 'He'll be ready when he's ready. 'He's available, he's had a pre-season. He's also had minutes in pre-season, so that's good, he's safe to do it. 'He's looking sharper every day in training, he's probably becoming more settled around the group. Everyone's excited.' Hibs mascots troll Rangers players in tunnel Gray's full of hope as Hibs return to Europe for the first time in two years. And not even being delayed at Edinburgh airport for several hours after a fault was discovered in their original chartered plane has impacted on their focus. The Hibs party had to wait for another plane to arrive before flying to Denmark and having a short evening work-out at the MCH Arena. Gray said: 'One thing I'm not going to do is worry about things we can't control. 'Our flight was delayed this morning, everybody knows that, it changed our schedule a little bit. 'But we had plans in place to react in case anything did come up. 'The players have all trained well, they're ready and I think tomorrow night takes care of itself. 'Europe is something that doesn't always happen in your career. 'It's one of the perks of playing for a big club like Hibs and the rewards for being successful, which we have been. 'We're ready now for this. 3 Martin Boyle in action against Rot-Weiss Essen Credit: Kenny Ramsay 'It's a real tough draw, I think in terms of how well Midtjylland have done in Europe. 'They're a very good side, they've got Champions League players experienced at the level. 'But we've also demonstrated that if we can play to the best of our ability we're a very good side - and that has to be the mindset of the players.' Gray added: 'Group stage football's never been done - that's the challenge to the players. 'Last season we spoke a lot about recreating history in a positive way. 'We've done a lot of that - and I think this is just the next stage. 'That is one of the genuine goals and ambitions of this group of players.' Rodgers issues stark Celtic reminder over 'domination' poser
The Parkhead boss was quizzed on how his side have "dominated" domestically in recent years but rebuffed the suggestion. But Rodgers was quick to insist his side didn't seize a treble last season as he set out his demand to improve in the 2025/26 campaign. [[Celtic]] lifted the Scottish Premiership title and the League Cup trophy last season but lost on penalties to Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden. Despite a trophy-laden spell for Celtic in recent years, Rodgers voiced his confidence that his side would improve this season both in domestic and European action. Read more: "As a football club, we aim to improve every single season," said Rodgers when quizzed on domination in Scottish football. "We didn't dominate last year, we won two out of three trophies. "But also being in Europe and making sure we are competitive and challenging at that level is very important for us, consistently not just one season. "We believe we can be even better this season on the domestic front and also we can take those experiences that we have had over these last couple of seasons into Europe where we aim to perform very, very well. "Celtic is a huge club. You can never stand still. It moves at a really, really fast speed and you need to move with it and that is all abotu improving, all about developing. "And for me as a coach it is developing players to be the best they can be and hopefully then we see that in the team format."
