Ibiza Final Boss Jack Kay to land huge six-figure sum if he does one thing
Jack Kay, dubbed the Ibiza Final Boss, could make a high six figure salary this year - if he plays his cards right.
The 26 year old, from Newcastle, shot to fame overnight after video footage of him dancing on the Spanish party island went viral on social media. But it wasn't just his smooth moves that drew attention - his unique bowl haircut which really set him apart.
Now, thanks to his instant recognisability, he could be set to rake in thousands of pounds through TV appearances and brand deals. It comes after a warning to Brit tourists planning all-inclusive holidays to Spain, where Jack found his fame.
'The PR world loves an unexpected viral hero and Ibiza Final Boss, Jack Kay, is delivering in spades," PR expert Mayah Riaz, of Miyah Media, tells The Mirror.
"He's got the holy trinity of viral success: that he's relatable, he popped up at the right time, and he's unintentionally hilarious. The internet seems to love him. And in today's fame economy that kind of organic buzz can absolutely be cashed in on, if he plays it right."
Since the clip of him went viral, Jack's not just gained attention, he's gained an extremely valuable following (27,000 on Instagram - and climbing), as well as an agent, giving him serious earning potential.
Mayah says: "We're already seeing brands jumping on his train by using his image, offering him guest list invites, and even offering him holidays. If his following keeps growing and stays engaged, there's a very real chance of him pulling in £1-2k per post, especially if he leans into party brands, travel, fashion, or those lad-culture meme pages.
"And he's already back in Ibiza after just one day in the UK. That's likely down to club appearances as Ibiza venues love a viral name on the flyer. These bookings can easily land him £1k-£5k per night, depending on demand."
She adds: "He has already announced he's going on tour. So he is aware he needs to cash in on this very quickly. Depending on the format of his tour, it could see him making £40k-£60k from it, as he has seen there must be a demand for it.
Already, some quick-thinkers have begun selling wigs of his infamous haircut. "If he created his own official merchandise, - if he moves fast with it - it could make around £50k on wig sales and around £75k from additional merchandise such as t-shirts, hoodies and mugs," says Mayah.
Jack's fans will be delighted to hear that he's likely to appear on daytime TV interviews and panel shows (£500–£2k a pop) in the coming days, and possibly even reality TV such as Big Brother or The Traitors, which could easily bring in £10k–£50k for a short stint.
Mayah added that the PR world thrives on freebies and 'influencer swaps' with designer clothes, luxury hotel stays and sponsored trips, which could be worth £10k+ in value.
With the world at his feet, it's very possible for Jack to have a high six figure year, so long as he acts fast.
"Jack's rise is meme-led, and reason that it is working is because people aren't laughing at him, they're laughing with him," says Mayah.
" He's got the everyman charm nailed: a regular lad from Newcastle, enjoying his moment. That kind of relatability is gold dust in PR.
"If I could offer Jack one piece of advice, it's to remember that viral fame burns hot and fast. If he wants to turn this 15-second clip into a six-figure year (and he absolutely can), he needs to start thinking long-term. Build the personal brand, get a solid PR strategy behind him and bring in a manager who can say 'no' to the right things.'

'We are so bad at talking about death': Kelsey Parker shares her experience of loss
Podcaster Kelsey Parker speaks to ITV News' Bairbre Holmes about her devasting loss and the need for people to be more open about death Having suffered the loss of her husband three years ago and her third child in June, podcaster Kelsey Parker has decided to speak out, calling for the British to be "more open and honest" about death. Kelsey, who announced she was expecting her third child in January, shared an Instagram post in June with the sad news that her son Pheonix was 'born sleeping'. His stillbirth came just a week before his due date. The baby was Kelsey's first with her new partner Will Lindsay, whom she met after the death of her husband, The Wanted star Tom Parker, from an inoperable brain tumour. At the time of Pheonix's death, Kelsey, who has a six-year-old daughter Aurelia and four-old-son Bodhi with the late singer, asked for space and time to process this "devastating and earth-shattering news". Asked why she had decided to speak out now, the 35-year-old podcaster told ITV News on Thursday: "Because I think as a nation, we are so bad at talking about death. "Everyone's so scared of the word. Everyone's scared to die. But there can be beauty in death. And I just want to share my experiences with everyone." She said people needed to be more open and honest about death and not to shy away from those who are bereaved. "I think that we just need to be more open about it because we are going to die - that is one thing we're guaranteed in this life, that we are going to die," she explained. "And to not be afraid to talk to that person who's gone through loss. "Because, you know, when Tom died, people used to actually cross the road to not talk to me because they don't know what to say. But I think there is no wrong or right. You just need to speak to that person." She said being open and honest with her children after the loss of Pheonix was even more important because they were experiencing grief for the second time. "It's brought everything to the surface," she said. "Losing their dad and now obviously losing their brother. So it's just making sure that they're able to talk and have the space for us to listen." She said she reminds them that, although they have experienced "the most extreme loss" they are actually okay. As for her? "Today I'm okay. Other days I'm not. But I'm just trying to get through each day." Kelsey said she was drawing support from her family, Will's family, Tom's family and her online followers. "I think people are so devastated for me, but they know that I am strong and that I'll be okay," she told ITV News. "I think people wanted the happy ending for me, and it hasn't worked out that way. "But, yeah, the love I've received has been absolutely incredible." Kelsey has previously spoken candidly about how trolls have made her feel guilty for having a new partner. She said in March: 'I'm always going to have guilt but what's so hard is that Tom's not here any more, so what do people want me to do? 'Our house was full of so much sadness but now it's full of happiness, the kids deserve that more than anything.' Following Tom's death, Kelsey raised money for a brain tumour charity by organising annual charity football matches in his memory. Her latest campaign is called Community Calling. "It's such a lovely campaign, which is getting people to get their old devices that are in their dusty drawers and to get them out, go on to Community Calling and back up your pictures, save everything that you want to save and then send your device off to someone in need," she explained. "Because there are so many people out there that haven't got access to a device and it's just so important to help others." The campaign also encourages participants to save their photos in a physical album. The first 500 people to sign up will get a free photo book, like one that Kelsey showed to ITV News. "My children absolutely loved this when this came through the door because they don't sit there and flick through the phone," she said. "I think a physical album is just so lovely. There's so much magic in just flicking through these pictures." Kelsey hosts a podcast with model Georgia Jones called Mum's the Word! where the pair share parenting advice with celebrity guests. She recorded several episodes before going on maternity leave, which will air in the coming months. "They were part of my journey so I didn't want to not share them, and they all have incredible guests with really important stories and messages," she said on Instagram.

BBC MasterChef's self-taught Welsh cook who's modelled for Dior
BBC MasterChef's self-taught Welsh cook who's modelled for Dior 23-year-old Finley Richards from Newport is on the new series of BBC One's MasterChef, but cooking is just one of his talents "Making cooking videos online led me to applying as I had amassed a total of two million views, and I had a few comments from friends and family urging me to apply so I thought 'why not?'." A logistics manager, part-time model and social media chef from south Wales is one of this year's MasterChef contestants. 23-year-old Finley Richards has managed to fit a lot into his young career and now the self-taught chef from Newport is on one of the BBC's most hotly discussed shows. Finley grew up in Newport where he lives today with his mum, dad, brother, sister and two dogs. Both before and after graduating from Cardiff University, he pursued a career in modelling, where he landed himself opportunities with huge fashion houses Louis Vuitton and Dior. So how did the leap from modelling for some of the biggest designers to being on MasterChef come about? The idea to apply for the cooking show, which in recent months has been mired in controversy due to investigations levelled against hosts Gregg Wallace and John Torode, came soon after Finley began showing off his cooking skills on platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. Viewers will see Finley's journey air after the BBC decided to still show this year's amatuer series because it was the "right thing to do" for those who took part. Torode and Wallace were both fired last month after a report into conduct on the cooking show upheld allegations against them. Content cannot be displayed without consent The Welsh cook told WalesOnline: "I wanted to challenge myself and see how good I was under pressure so I applied to MasterChef. "Making cooking videos online led me to applying as I had amassed a total of two million views, and I had a few comments from friends and family urging me to apply so I thought why not." Finley and his girlfriend Molly went viral on TikTok, accumulating hundreds of thousands of views as they started their own "Come Dine with Me" style series, cooking for each other and rating the dishes. There was one important rule - make everything from scratch. The popularity of this series not only created a trend, with couples recreating it across the UK, but also sparked some more food content from Finley, where he shows his followers how he makes his 'Sunday morning eggs,' and other fun recipes. For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter Content cannot be displayed without consent "I've always enjoyed cooking from a fairly young age. I think I've cooked for myself since I was mid-teens. At that point it was probably just pesto pasta, but the obsession has evolved," said Finley. "Cooking at university forced me to get creative and experiment with what I had. It also taught me that if I don't know how to cook then I'd starve. "If anything, I'd say my dad has impacted my love for cooking the most. He's great and has always cooked at home. "His late brother was a chef, and his dad also cooked in the army. Perhaps it's innate in me." "My style of cooking is intuitive and creative. I like to think I can open a fridge or a cupboard and work with whatever is in there. "I just cook what I love to eat, and I enjoy being creative with it. I've learned a lot from watching chefs online and on social media, but my favourite way to learn is sitting at a restaurant counter, watching chefs cook right in front of me." As for his plans after the show, Finley hopes to grow his social media platforms and eventually, make a cookbook of his own. "I'd love to work with food in some capacity. Whether that's on social media or something else." You can follow Finley on TikTok @finleyrichardss and Instagram @finleyrichards for his latest recipes. "I've always wondered whether I could cope in a professional kitchen and seeing chefs operate intrigues me," he added. "I would love to have my own cookbook, but it would have to be really credible. I've got such respect for chefs who do this for real in a professional kitchen. "I think that's why I applied, to prove I'm capable to myself and everyone else that I can cook under pressure. "So maybe if I was to be successful one day, I'd create a cookbook with all of my favourite dishes, that I've created myself." You can watch the start of Finley's MasterChef journey on BBC One on Thursday night at 8pm. You can click here to catch up on BBC iPlayer. Article continues below
