The track, which was chosen by BTS fans en masse thanks largely to its name, reenters the Official Singles Downloads chart at No. 46 and the Official Singles Sales list at No. 49. 'Home' Appears for Only the Second Time "Home" has only appeared on both of these rankings twice, including this frame. As it returns, the cut reaches a new high point on both tallies. The tune debuted on the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts in April 2019 when it was brand new. At the time, it failed to reach the upper half of either ranking, and then quickly disappeared. Now, it approaches the top 40 and demonstrates that there's pent-up demand for BTS music, even if it's not new material. BTS's Return to Music Longtime supporters of BTS didn't flock to the group's biggest singles or highest-charting tracks to celebrate the return of the band, but rather focused their buying efforts, at least for the moment, on "Home," which was never selected as a single. Indianapolis artist Adam Stoner has experienced that more than most, as his listing has gone viral with more than 100,000 views on Zillow and countless posts and comments online. And when it comes to real estate and art, as they say, everyone's a critic. "What was once my creative environment is now everyone else's experience," Stoner said. "So until we sell, it's more like a hotel now, which I didn't expect." Stoner, owner of the Salt House Tattoo in Franklin and a media personality with a popular YouTube show and podcast, has handled the online criticism with grace and humor. Stoner discussed the viral listing on his YouTube show, explaining his love for the home and his understanding that everyone's style is unique while adding his signature brand of humor. He laughingly read several of the negative comments, like "100 percent a magician lived here," before taking his viewers on an MTV Cribs-style tour of the home to show what makes it perfect for him and, hopefully, a buyer. "Honestly, it's not been fun," Stoner told IndyStar of the negative online comments. "I think that's why I've been having so much fun with it online. Rare flower that smells like rotten flesh to bloom in S.F. Spare your nose and watch the livestream
The San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers has launched a livestream of one of its famously stinky corpse flowers, allowing fans to watch the rare bloom without enduring its pungent smell. The plant, also known as titan arum or the amorphophallus titanum, is expected to unfurl within a week, according to an Instagram post from the historic Golden Gate Park greenhouse, which houses a total of five of the plants. Scientists have nicknamed this particular one Chanel. Chanel's livestream began Tuesday, July 1, on the Gardens of Golden Gate Park YouTube channel. It shows a birdseye view of the plant, which has been roped off, as visitors cycle through the space. Those who want to get a closer look, or take a whiff of the phallic-shaped plant once it blooms, can still visit the Conservatory of Flowers in person between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Thursdays through Tuesdays. Titan arum is native to the rainforests of Sumatra, Indonesia, and is considered endangered by the International Union of the Conservation of Nature. It spends years cycling through dormancy and growth phases, during which it produces a giant leaf that can reach up to 15 feet tall. This process can occur multiple times over several years before the plant accumulates enough energy to bloom. Its bloom only lasts for about 24 to 48 hours During the first evening, its putrid odor, which has been compared to the smell of rotten flesh, releases to attract pollinators such as carrion flies and beetles. After the event, it can take between three to five years for the plant to bloom again. The Conservatory confirmed on Friday, June 27 that Chanel will bloom soon, distinguishable by the plant's tall central spike, called a spadix, poking out through its ruffly spathe leaves. Chanel last bloomed in 2022. Scarlet, another one of the Conservatory of Flowers' titan arums, bloomed in 2023, while the California Academy of Sciences ' corpse flower bloomed last year. Both were livestreamed.
