New Delhi [India], July 20 (ANI): Ace singer Himesh Reshammiya took a momentous pause during his Delhi concert on Saturday evening to pay tribute to the Indian Armed Forces over their successful execution of Operation Sindoor. Himesh Reshammiya performed in Gurgaon on Saturday.
He urged the audience at the Indira Gandhi Arena stadium to thank the Jawans for their brave efforts.
"Sab hoga magar humein unhe nahi bhoolna chahiye jinki wajah se aaj hum yahan ek dusre ko mil pa rahe hain. Humare desh ke jawano ko salute hai. Jai Hind. Operation Sindoor zindabad," Himesh Reshammiya expressed.
And then in a moving performance, Himesh Reshammiya crooned the patriotic song 'Dil Diya Hai Jaan Bhi Denge Aye Watan Tere Liye' from the 1986 film 'Karma'. The Indian tricolour also flashed on the big screen.
The Delhi leg of his Cap Mania Tour, presented by Saregama Live, kickstarted on July 19 and will conclude on July 20.
Last night, a sea of fans gathered together under one roof to witness the magic of Himesh Reshammiya's voice, wearing the customised "HR" caps.
A hilarious yet notable moment during the concert was when Himesh Reshammiya playfully asked the audience if they wanted him to sing "regular" or with his signature nasal style.
"Thoda regular gaaun ya naak se gaaun? (Should I sing normally or from my nose?)," he said, leaving the jam-packed stadium in splits.
Himesh Reshammiya undoubtedly turned Delhi into a nightclub on Saturday.
From 'Tandoori Nights' to 'Hookah Bar', 'Long Drive' and 'Jhalak Dikhlaa Ja', he sang all his peppy numbers and made Delhiites jump with joy and enthusiasm.
A wave of nostalgia was sparked with his gig as he transported the audience to the early 2000s by singing his hit tracks such as 'Chakna Chakna' and 'Viraaniya' from 'Namastey London'.
He also unleashed his lover boy side at the concert, all thanks to his wife Sonia.
Sonia joined him on stage for a bit and delivered a few lines about love that touched everyone's hearts. The husband and wife shared an adorable hug as well.
Audience also experienced mesmerising "suroors" from the voices of Pragati Nagpal, Arjun Tanwar, and Maahi on the first Day of the Delhi leg of the Cap Mania tour, presented by Saregama Live. (ANI)

Saiyaara Box Office Collection Day 19: Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's debut film Saiyaara remains unstoppable at the box office even after 19 days since its release. The film is helmed by YRF and directed by Mohit Suri. Saiyaara has now touched yet another milestone, arguably the biggest so far, crossing ₹ 500 crore worldwide, claimed the film team. YRF shared that Saiyaara has grossed ₹ 507 crore at the global box office in 18 days. Sharing the news on their Instagram, the production house's official post read, '#Saiyaara found a home in your hearts - and we couldn't be more thankful.' Reacting to the news, YRF's CEO, Akshaye Widhani, who backed the film, said in a statement, 'As a company, we share this historic success with the captain of the ship, Mohit Suri who has given this generation a defining love story they can call their own, the incredible debutants Ahaan & Aneet who made the world feel love on screen through their brilliant acting, Aditya Chopra for his unwavering guidance, the entire cast and crew of Saiyaara and everyone at YRF for their invaluable contribution towards making this film into a global phenomenon.' He added, 'The success of Saiyaara, a pure love story, once again proves that the romance genre is probably the one to get most love from audience if we give them the right film to cherish and endorse. We are humbled with this success story and it fuels us to look for the next film that can break-out and make India proud globally.' Akshaye also said, 'It's deeply encouraging to see young audiences lead the way in embracing this film, disproving doubts about their theatrical participation. Thank you to every viewer, everywhere, for making Saiyaara the defining love story of our time.' With this, Saiyaara becomes the second Indian film of 2025 to cross the ₹ 500 crore mark worldwide. So far, only Vicky Kaushal's blockbuster Chhaava has achieved this feat. Chhaava minted ₹ 807.91 crore worldwide as its lifetime earnings. Saiyaara recently crossed the ₹ 300 crore mark in India on day 18. However, industry tracker Sacnilk is yet to confirm Saiyaara's ₹ 500 crore achievement at the international box office. He meets Vaani (played by Aneet Padda), a shy, aspiring journalist recovering from heartbreak. As they cross paths, love follows, but fate takes them apart, setting them on a journey filled with love, loss and heartbreak.

'It made me an icon': Sharon Stone on her infamous Basic Instinct leg-crossing scene

Washington DC [US], August 5 (ANI): Actress and film producer Sharon Stone shared that she had the legal right to remove her leg-crossing scene from the 1992 movie, 'Basic Instinct', but chose not to, reported People. The controversial scene featured Stone, who played the role of crime novelist Catherine Tramell alongside Michael Douglas (Detective Nick Curran), crossing her legs while being questioned, revealing that she wasn't wearing underwear. "I very much believe that none of us knew at the time what we were getting in regard to that shot, and when Paul [Verhoeven] got it, he didn't want to lose it, and he was scared to show me. And I get that," recalled Stone. "Once I had time to calm down, I didn't make him take it out of the movie when I had the legal right to," she said, adding, "So I did have the chance to do it differently, and I didn't because once I had the chance to step back, I understood, as the director, not the girl in the film, that that made the movie better." Although having claimed in 2023 that she lost custody of her son following her role in Basic Instinct, Stone revealed that she has no hard feelings, reported People. "It made me an icon, but it didn't bring me respect. But would I do it again? We don't get to make these choices in life. I don't participate in the fantasy world in this way," she said. "What I did with what happened is exactly the way I wanted to do it. Verhoeven and I have a wonderful relationship," Stone added, 'Basic Instinct' is set to get a reboot, with the film's original writer, Joe Eszterhas, penning the script. Stone previously said that making the iconic film took a toll on everyone involved. "Paul Verhoeven [director] ended up in the hospital--his sinus thing ruptured, and he couldn't stop having a nosebleed," she said. "There was tremendous pressure on that set." "Now people walk around showing their penises on Netflix, but in the olden days, what we were doing was very new," she continued. "This was a feature film for a major studio, and we had nudity, sex, homosexuality, all these things that, in my era, were breaking norms," she added, reported People. (ANI)
