Talbi's sizzling form made him the clear choice. He scored two goals in Brugge's surprising 3-1 win over Atalanta in the play-offs, to qualify for the Champions League round of 16.
Last week, Talbi was also named in UEFA's Team of the Week next to Kylian Mbappe and Federico Valverde.
Playing as an attacking right-back, Talbi can also switch to midfield, blending speed with slick dribbling and raw power.
Nicky Hayen, FC Brugge's boss, believes his Moroccan talisman is on a highway to the top. 'Talbi has the talent โ now he just has to keep proving it,' he said recently. 'Staying at the top is the real test.'
Talbi holds dual Belgium and Moroccan nationality. The player himself is keeping quiet about all the noise around his stellar performances and future destination. 'I've spoken to both federations. I still need to decide,' he said.
Converging sources indicate that, having played for the Red Devils in the U17 and U20 youth setup, the prodigy has chosen to represent Morocco instead of Belgium at senior level. , Tags: Champions League playoffsChemsdine TalbiFC BruggePlayer of the Month

Hakimi Enters Africa's Top Three Most Decorated Players
Achraf Hakimi is now the third most decorated African footballer after helping Paris Saint-Germain win the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday night. PSG recovered from 0-2 down to draw 2-2 with Tottenham in Udine, before winning 4-3 on penalties. Hakimi contributed to the attack with one chance created, five crossesโone completedโand two successful long passes from six attempts. He completed 69 of 83 passes, an accuracy rate of 83%. Defensively, the Moroccan international won two of three tackles and was not beaten in a one-on-one throughout the match. While less advanced in his attacking runs than in previous games, he maintained a key role on the right flank, particularly in the closing stages as PSG pushed for an equaliser. The victory takes Hakimi's career total to 17 trophies, placing him behind only Samuel Eto'o and Yaya Tourรฉ, who each have 18. At 26, Hakimi is close to surpassing both to become Africa's most decorated player. He reacted to the win by posting photographs from the celebrations on social media. His performances for club and country this year have kept him in contention for the 2025 Ballon d'Or, to be awarded in September. Hakimi's latest title bolsters his position among Africa's most successful footballers, with the opportunity to equal or break the record soon. CHAN 2024: Morocco vs Zambia โ How to Watch & Predicted Score
Morocco head into today's African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 group match against Zambia knowing only a win will keep their quarter-final hopes alive. Senegalese referee Adalbert Diouf will blow the kick-off whistle at 3:00 PM Morocco time (GMT+1). Fans can catch the action live on beIN Sports France, beIN Sports MENA 6 HD, and SuperSport. The Atlas Lions opened their campaign with a 2-0 victory over Angola but slipped to a 1-0 defeat against Kenya. The result leaves them at the bottom of Group A, with three points a must at the Moi International Sports Centre in Nairobi. Head coach Tarik Sektioui stressed the need for focus and discipline. 'We have learned the necessary lessons after our defeat against Kenya and we are now focused on a victory against Zambia to take the three points,' he said. Sektioui acknowledged the criticism following the Kenya result. 'Criticism from fans is normal. What is not normal is for the national team to lose and people be happy. There are huge efforts being made to make the Moroccan people happy despite the circumstances,' he said. The coach pointed to limited preparation for several players, with some joining the squad without prior training sessions. 'Despite these difficulties, it is our duty to make the Moroccan people happy and choose line-ups that suit each player's situation and the group as a whole,' he added. Zambia, meanwhile, have endured a difficult tournament. Defeats to DR Congo (2-0) and Angola (2-1) have ended their qualification chances, but the Chipolopolo are targeting their first points of the campaign. Zambia coach Avram Grant urged his side to respond positively. 'We didn't want to lose the two games but it is part of the game. We are concentrating in our team not opponents. Sometimes you lose and draw. We will not copy Morocco but play something that is good for us. We respect Morocco and they play good,' he said. Grant added: 'There is no perfect game. We created chances but it happens. We will do everything to win tomorrow. We need to have the winning mentality, show the character after the disappointing two losses. We hope the players react well.' Predicted Score: Morocco are more likely to win. Zambia have lost both games and conceded four goals, while Morocco have shown they can create chances. If they finish better, a 2-0 win for Morocco looks the most likely result. Tags: CHAN 2024MoroccoZambia

Hakimi's PSG Wins UEFA Super Cup
Rabat โ Achraf Hakimi's Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) hopes to claim the UEFA Super Cup title came true tonight in Udine, Italy. Following a well-fought game, the Parisian club settled the game in penalty kicks after a 2-2 draw, ultimately winning 4-3 to claim the title. Micky van de Ven opened the scoring for Tottenham, putting Spurs ahead in the 39th minute after pouncing on a rebound in a crowded PSG box. Cristian Romero doubled the Premier League club's lead early in the second half with a powerful header, sealing a disciplined performance from the Europa League winners. Hakimi, starting at right-back, endured a subdued night. Tottenham's high prowess, pressing, and compact shape kept the Moroccan international pinned in defence, limiting his trademark overlapping runs. His contributions came largely in tracking runners and breaking up attacks, with little opportunity to influence play in the opponent's 18 square meters. Although PSG's manager Luis Enrique made changes with the hope of rewinding and finding their way to Tottenham's net, the Spurs kept the 0-2 draw unchanged for large spells of the game. It was not until minute 85 that Enrique's substitutes made a difference in the game. The Korean Lee Kang-in reached Vicario's net with an unstoppable strike, bringing life to the eyes of his teammates. Ten minutes later, and late in added time, PSG's Goncalo Ramos turned Osman Dembele's assist into an equalizer, scoring his club's second goal and proving that a game is never over until the final whistle. PSG's equalizer sent both clubs to the penalty kicks, where chance is as important as technical competence. With so many kicks wasted from both sides, the Parisian club was able to make the hopes come true with a penalty score of 4-3. Tottenham Hotspur's dream to claim its first-ever faded away tonight, left with a search for answers ahead of the new season. Tags: HakimiPSG vs TottenhamUEFA Super Cup
