Daily Mirror06-07-2025
Netflix has added the romantic drama We Live In Time to trtheir streaming platform and viewers are not only obsessed by it but revealed they can't stop 'sobbing'
Netflix has once again done what is does best by adding gripping drama to its streaming platform. And this time, the romantic drama We Live In Time has gripped the nation by storm.
The British based TV show, starring Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh, follows the couple's love story over a decade.

Alumut, played by Florence, who is a chef and former figure skater accidentally hits and knocks over Tobias, played by Andrew, with her car.

Viewers are then taken on their love journey as the pair navigate their way through ten years of different points in their lives.
The film was first released in cinemas across the nation in January this year before landing on Netflix. But it's already fast become a huge hit among subscribers.
The official plot reads: "Almut (Florence Pugh) and Tobias (Andrew Garfield) are brought together in a surprise encounter that changes their lives. !"
It adds: "As they embark on a path challenged by the limits of time, they learn to cherish each moment of the unconventional route their love story has taken, in filmmaker John Crowley's decade-spanning, deeply moving romance."
And viewers are loving it. One fan took to X and said that she could not sobbing after watching the highly acclaimed drama.

The fan said: "Finally watched we live in time and I'm so grateful I didn't watch in the cinema I've not stopped sobbing."
But that fan is by no means the only one. According to reports, the drama has received 79% on film website Rotten Tomatoes.
Those reviewing the drama on the site praised the believable chemistry between both lead characters.

After the show's debut at at the Toronto Film Festival last year, the Guardian awarded it four stars and described it as "irresistible" and a "smart and sensitive crowd pleaser."
It then added: "It's such a joy to watch two such assured and natural performers allowed the room to exercise both movie star and actor muscles as well as showcase their ease with both comedy and drama."

The review went on to add: "Their chemistry is just so electric that it would be hard to imagine how any of it could work quite so well without them."
And in an interview with Radio Times, the director, John Crowley was asked about the chemistry between the two lead stars.
He explained: "I had an instinct that the two of them would work well together, and that's not based on anything. That's just a hunch, right? So it's very unscientific."

Prince Harry's call leaves Meghan in 'floods of tears' after Prince William move

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Following the breakdown of their parents' marriage and the devastating loss of their mother, Princes William and Harry seemed inseparable, supporting one another through their grief. Yet today, the feuding brothers find themselves entrenched in a bitter dispute as they pursue separate paths across the Atlantic. The fracture in their relationship reached its peak after Harry wed Meghan Markle - with the couple finding it difficult to adjust to Royal expectations. In the Sussexes' explosive Netflix series, Harry and Meghan, the pair targeted William and described a crucial moment that Harry claims left him enraged and his wife distraught. The conflict emerged when Harry refused to authorise a joint palace statement rejecting bullying allegations - which he maintains created a rift between the siblings. This development coincides with reports that Harry and Meghan's recent efforts to "build bridges and move on" have reportedly failed, according to a prominent Royal commentator. Speaking over footage of the brothers playing in an old fire engine and newspaper headlines documenting the animosity in their relationship during episode five, Harry revealed in the programme: "I mean, the saddest part of it was this wedge created between me and my brother so that he's now on the institution's side," reports the Mirror. "And I get, part of that I get. I understand right? That's his inheritance, so to some extent it's already ingrained in him that part of his responsibility is the survivability and the continuation of this institution. "That day, a story came out that part of the reason why Meghan and I were leaving was because William had bullied us out. And once I got in the car after the meeting, I was told about a joint statement that had been put out in my name and my brother's name squashing the story about him bullying us out of the family. "I couldn't believe it. No one had asked me permission to put my name to a statement like that. And I rang M and I told her and she burst into floods of tears because within four hours they were happy to lie to protect my brother and yet for three years, they were never willing to tell the truth to protect us." It emerges as King Charles and Harry's senior aides convened for a clandestine peace summit in London last month, which is being described as the inaugural significant move in a 'rapprochement process' aimed at mending fractured relationships. The Mail on Sunday disclosed that Meredith Maines, the Duke of Sussex's chief communications officer, made an impromptu trip from LA to meet with Tobyn Andreae, the King's communications secretary, at the exclusive Royal Over-Seas League club, a mere stone's throw from Clarence House, the King's London abode. Liam Maguire, who heads Prince Harry's UK PR operations, was also in attendance. An insider informed the newspaper: "There's a long road ahead, but a channel of communication is now open for the first time in year. There was no formal agenda, just casual drinks. There were things both sides wanted to talk about." Despite Prince William's team allegedly not being invited to the unexpected summit, specialists have disclosed the covert influence he likely exerted behind the scenes concerning the monarchy's future. Experts suggest that although William seems less inclined towards reconciliation with his estranged brother, whom he's reportedly not communicated with for years, the meeting would not have occurred without his 'support and understanding'. Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams informed Mail Online: "The King would never have made these moves without William's support and understanding. William and Catherine are the future of the monarchy. "He has undoubtedly been furious at the way the Sussexes have behaved and undoubtedly regards Harry's behaviour as treason of a sort. They reportedly have not spoken in over two years.'". Additionally, Royal author Phil Dampier remarked: "The King is more anxious to patch things up than William, who I believe will never be close to his brother again." Harry is set to return to the UK in September for the annual WellChild events, which might present an opportunity for him to meet his father after 18 months. However, William does not seem to have any intentions to meet his brother, despite the ongoing peace discussions.

You can check out at any time. More info Dick and Angel Strawbridge, the beloved couple who have been entertaining us on screen for over a decade, along with their children, are creating more enchanting memories. The popular pair took to Instagram today (August 10) to share a collection of photos from their incredible holiday in Australia. The family can be seen posing together in charming photos and enjoying the local wildlife, with kangaroos and snakes making appearances in the pictures. Posting on The Strawbridge Family account, they captioned it: "Thank you Australia for the magical memories. More to come on our adventures.. but we had to share some of our favourite pictures. "We have hugged, laughed and swapped stories with so many.. it's really been truly amazing. Thank you for the love. Until the next time!" Fans rushed to the comments section, many expressing surprise at how much their children, Arthur and Dorothy, have grown since viewers last saw them on Escape to the Chateau, reports the Mirror. One fan shared: "One, I just want to cry. Looking at Dorothy and Arthur and how they have grown. I've watched your beautiful family from the beginning of the Chateau show (which I miss). They are beautiful. Dorothy is gorgeous and Arthur is exceedingly handsome." One social media user remarked: "I cannot believe how much Dorothy and Arthur have grown. I remember how little they were. I watched your TV programme from the very beginning." Another agreed, saying: "Surreal to see how grown up the kids are considering we're still seeing reruns of the Chateau when Arthur was 9! So glad you've enjoyed our beautiful country." A fourth chimed in: "Cannot believe how much the kids have grown! Hope you all had a wonderful time." Escape to the Chateau followed the family's journey as they purchased and renovated the 19th-century Château de la Motte-Husson, in Martigné-sur-Mayenne, France. The show first aired on Channel 4 in 2016 and boasted an impressive 50 episodes across nine series before it concluded in December 2022. Explaining their decision to wrap up the show, the couple told HELLO! in 2023: "It was two years ago that we decided to end the Escape to the Chateau series. "We made the decision because the kids are growing older, and all the parallel activity was not sustainable at this level. We are doers and we are never going to stop completely, but we're also protecting them. "Arthur is starting senior school and the pressure on our little ones is phenomenal. When he goes there, people may have heard that his parents have done stuff on television." Angel added: "Up until this year, we were not on French television at our request because while we are the British family that bought the Chateau in the village, we are very much completely normal."
