Some Tesco shoppers were accidentally sent an email saying they were being given the £100 in Clubcard points - despite not taking part in a recent offer with easyJet Holidays
Tesco has apologised after some shoppers were mistakenly told they were being awarded £100 in Clubcard points. The supermarket ran a promotion where customers could get £100 of Clubcard points when they booked an easyJet holiday.
However, some shoppers were accidentally sent an email saying they were being given the £100 in Clubcard points - despite not taking part in the offer.

One customer wrote on X: 'Did anyone else get this weird Tesco email today about £100 of Clubcard points being ours and then not being ours.'

Another said: 'WTF is this about @Tesco? I demand £100 of Clubcard points NOW!!' The supermarket sent out a second email to all affected customers, explaining the mix-up.
The second email read: 'We sent you an email about our Reward Partners on Sunday 11 May (great!). Unfortunately, we mistakenly said we'd added £100 of Clubcard points to your account for booking an easyJet holiday (not so great!).
'We're very sorry for any confusion we caused, and we hope you have a lovely summer, whatever your holiday plans.'
A spokesperson from Tesco said: 'An email meant for customers who had collected £100 of Clubcard points after booking an easyJet Holidays break using Tesco Clubcard Vouchers was mistakenly sent to other Clubcard members.
"We are sorry about the confusion and have followed up with an email to the customers who wrongly received the message to apologise.'

It comes after Tesco finally launched its F&F range online. Tesco shoppers used to be able to purchase F&F clothing through the Tesco Direct website - but this closed down in 2018.
The collection was also once available to buy online through Next, until the retailer stopped selling F&F in January 2024.
A curated selection of women's, men's and kids' clothing, as well as footwear and accessories on Tesco.com and through the Grocery and Clubcard App.

The range includes pieces through the F&F Edit, Sports and F&F Active Athleisure clothing. It will also feature exclusive collaborations and seasonal items, such as school uniforms.
The online range will continue to expand over the coming months. Customers will be able to shop F&F clothing across Tesco.com and the Tesco Grocery and Clubcard app, earning Clubcard points on all their purchases.

'We know our customers love the quality, affordability and style of F&F and this will make it even easier and more convenient to shop the ranges they know and love.'
The supermarket teased the launch in its financial results last month, where it said "launch of F&F clothing is scheduled to go live for customers in the year ahead".

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said Consumer Prices Index inflation rose to 3.6% in June, the highest it has been since January 2024. ‌ Whilst grocery prices overall have increased throughout this year, we compared the price of everyday food essentials at the top supermarkets today to what they were three years ago in 2022. ‌ In 2022 over six months, we visited popular food retailers Tesco, Asda, Lidl, Aldi, M&S, Sainsbury's and Morrisons to compare the prices of basic items. ‌ Now we have gone back to the same stores three years later to see how much the prices have changed in that time and there were some shocking finds. For money-saving tips, sign up to our Money newsletter here In August 2022 the UK consumer price inflation rate was a staggering 9.9% according to the Office of National Statistics. The latest figures for inflation for June 2025 state that the rate was 3.6%, higher than the government's target of less than 2%. Even though you can now find cheese locked up for security purposes in many shops, as it is deemed a high value item, in some places the cost of a pack of mature cheddar has decreased as much as 79p in Morrisons. In recent years supermarkets such as Tesco, Sainsbury's and Morrisons have vowed to keep their prices low for many items by price matching Aldi. The recall affects the 380g four-packs of the chicken steaks, the best before dates of December 11, 2026, December 16, 2026, December 22, 2026, December 30, 2026, and January 17, 2027. The warning surrounds the Neosis Schokolade Love of Dubai chocolate which contains peanuts not mentioned on the label. As a result, the FSA says it poses 'a serious risk to anyone with an allergy to peanuts'. Customers who have purchased the product and have an allergy have been urged not to eat it, while businesses are 'advised to immediately stop sales and to undertake product withdrawals'. The supermarket is recalling its Iceland Vegetable Lasagne because of the risk of plastic in the dish, making it unsafe to eat. Granola recall A popular breakfast choice sold at Tesco, Ocado, Amazon and other outlets has been recalled because it may contain insects. Rude Health Foods Ltd is recalling its Rude Health Chocolate Crunch Granola because of the possible presence of insects. The affected product is the 400g box of granola with a best before date of October 24. The FSA has warned anyone who has purchased the granola not to eat it but return it to wherever they bought it for a full refund.
