Same-day darshan for ‘Srivani' ticket-holders in Tirumala
Beginning August 1 and continuing through August 15, devotees will be enabled to secure 'Srivani' tickets and have darshan the same day, replacing the existing system that often necessitates a three-day wait.
Initially, the new system will be made applicable to the devotees seeking tickets under the offline quota, both at Tirumala and the Tirupati airport. The TTD provides around 800 tickets across the current booking counters in Tirumala and 200 tickets at the airport.
Announcing the new scheme, TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary on Wednesday said that under the revised system, the tickets would be made available from 10 a.m. on first come, first served basis at the Gokulam guesthouse in Tirumala and from 7 a.m. at the airport. The devotees should report at the Vaikuntam Queue Complex-I at 4.30 p.m. for darshan of the deity the same evening.
The system would be introduced on an experimental basis, he said, adding that it was aimed at easing the burden on the pilgrims.
On the other hand, devotees who had booked their tickets till October 31 under online advance reservation system would be allowed for darshan at 10 a.m. as per the current schedule.
However from November 1, both offline and online 'Srivani' ticket-holders would be granted darshan access at 4.30 p.m. through the Vaikuntham Queue Complex-1.

TIRUPATI: The State Cabinet has approved a land exchange proposal between the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority (APTA), facilitating the establishment of a luxury hotel by the Oberoi Group in Tirupati Rural mandal. At its meeting held on Wednesday, the Cabinet sanctioned the swapping of 24.68 acres of APTA land in Survey No. 604 at Peruru village with 25 acres of TTD land in Survey No. 588A of the same village. This follows a resolution passed by the TTD Board during an emergency meeting on May 7 at Tirumala, chaired by TTD Chairman B R Naidu, supporting the land swap. The decision effectively revives, with changes, an earlier plan to allocate land near Alipiri to the Oberoi Group. In January 2023, the then YSRCP government had allotted 24.68 acres to the group along the Alipiri–SV Zoo Park road in Peruru for a luxury hotel project under the name 'Mumtaz Hotels'. However, the project faced opposition from Hindu groups who objected to the hotel's name and its proximity to the pilgrimage site, citing concerns over the sanctity of the area. After the change in government, TTD Chairman B R Naidu raised objections to the original allotment. In March 2025, the TTD Board resolved to cancel both the 35-acre land granted to Mumtaz Hotels and the land sanctioned for the Devlok project near the Alipiri–Cherlopalli road. Subsequently, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu instructed TTD to identify an alternative site. The newly approved location lies on the opposite side of the same road, reportedly situated between Aravind Eye Hospital and TATA Cancer Institute. With the Cabinet's approval, the earlier land allotment stands officially cancelled, allowing the Oberoi Group to proceed with its project at the new site.

TTD Srivani Darshan at 5 pm from tomorrow
TIRUMALA: In a significant move to ease the pilgrimage process for Srivani ticket holders, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has changed the darshan timing from morning to evening, effective August 1. Devotees purchasing Srivani donation tickets offline will now be allowed darshan of Lord Venkateswara at 5 PM instead of during the morning VIP break slot. The decision was made during a review meeting at Annamayya Bhavan on Wednesday. Tirumala Temple Deputy Executive Officer Lokanadham said the change aims to reduce the burden on devotees, who currently spend nearly three days for darshan. Srivani darshan tickets, costing Rs 10,000 as a donation and Rs 500 for break darshan, are issued offline at Tirumala. Around 800 tickets are sold daily from 7 am and are typically exhausted by 11 am. Devotees often arrive a day earlier and must wait overnight for darshan. The new 5 PM slot allows same-day darshan, reducing wait times significantly. From August 1, offline ticket holders will be allowed darshan between 5 PM and 5:45 PM. Initially, this change applies only to offline tickets. TTD also offers 500 tickets online and 200 daily at Tirupati airport. Online ticket holders will switch to the 5 PM slot from November 1.

SRIVANI devotees to get same day darshan in Tirumala
Tirumala: Keeping in view the convenience for pilgrims which in turn may ease the burden on Tirumala's accommodation services as well, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has rolled out a revised schedule for SRIVANI Trust darshan tickets. Starting August 1, devotees securing offline tickets under the SRIVANI scheme will be allowed same-day darshan, marking a departure from the earlier waiting period of up to three days. This revamped system will be implemented on a trial basis for 15 days, until August 15. Officials hope that the pilot initiative will pave the way for a permanent mechanism that ensures a smoother and more efficient darshan experience for those opting for the SRIVANI (Sri Venkateswara Alaya Nirmanam) Trust-linked Break Darshan. Announcing the development, TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch Venkaiah Chowdary explained that under the new timings, offline tickets will be issued daily at 10.00 am on a first-come, first-served basis at designated counters in Tirumala. Devotees receiving tickets are expected to report for darshan at Vaikuntam Queue Complex-1 by 4.30 pm the same day. Introduced in October 2019, the SRIVANI scheme allows donors contributing Rs 10,000 to avail of a one-time VIP Break Darshan. While this option gained popularity among pilgrims, the waiting time for darshan under the offline booking system often extended up to three days, causing logistical challenges for short-notice visitors. As usual, SRIVANI tickets will also be issued at Tirupati Airport from 7.00 am daily, continuing until the day's quota is exhausted. The current ticket allotment remains unchanged – 800 tickets in Tirumala and 200 at the airport. Importantly, there is no change for pilgrims who have already booked their SRIVANI tickets online. These devotees can continue availing darshan at 10.00 am until October 31. However, beginning November 1, both online and offline ticket holders will uniformly report at 4.30 pm for darshan. TTD has urged devotees not to queue up before 10.00 am at the counters to ensure smooth and orderly ticket distribution. The revised system is expected to reduce waiting time and provide greater flexibility, particularly for pilgrims with time constraints. The decision was formalised during a review meeting in Tirumala, chaired by senior officials including Deputy Executive Officers Lokanatham and Venkataiah, GM of Transport and IT Sesha Reddy, Vigilance officials Ram Kumar and Surendra, and IT Deputy GM Venkateswarlu Naidu.
