ITV Karen Pirie series 2: Full cast list and TV times
The synopsis for season 2 says: "The 1984 case of Catriona and Adam Grant has confounded investigators and intrigued the public like no other.
"Catriona, the charming young heiress to a vast oil fortune, and her two-year-old son Adam, were brutally kidnapped at gunpoint outside a fish and chip shop in Fife.
"The ransom notes that followed stirred up an uncontrollable press storm, but when the culprits fell silent, the police faltered, and Catriona and Adam were never seen again."
It continues: "Now, a man's body has been discovered, with indisputable links to the original kidnap.
"With the first piece of evidence in decades, Karen must assemble an unbeatable team alongside her sincere and lovable sidekick DC Jason 'Mint' Murray (Chris Jenks) and the brilliant – but romantically complicated – DS Phil Parhatka (Zach Wyatt)."
Speaking with the Radio Times about the new series, Lauren Lyle shared: "With a slight sense of not wanting it, she has become the boss and doesn't quite know what to do with that. She has the authority now, but she doesn't know what to do with it.
"As she was in season 1, she naturally goes against the rules, and she naturally is very good at her job, but she doesn't necessarily know why or how she's doing it.
"So we find her as the head of everyone, and it's still quite funny that she's very small and sarcastic and unsure, but somehow has to pull it all together."

Lulu pleads with Sharon Osbourne to contact her hours before Ozzy's funeral
The Scots singer appeared on ITV on Wednesday morning, when she sent out a heartfelt plea to Sharon Lulu reached out to Sharon Osbourne ahead of the funeral of Black Sabbath icon Ozzy as the Scots star appeared live on ITV. The Shout singer was speaking with Lorraine host Christine Lampard on Wednesday morning when she sent out a heartfelt plea to Sharon to get in touch with her, hours before the funeral will take place. Ozzy will be laid to rest today after a procession through his hometown of Birmingham. Before it starts around 1pm this afternoon, Lulu pleaded with former X factor judge Sharon, or her assistant Melinda Varga, to contact her. She said: 'I wanna say, Sharon, I know you won't be watching but if anyone is watching, Melinda, can you call me? I know they're busy but I want to get hold of you guys because I really, really want to be there to support Sharon." Just two weeks before Ozzy's sad passing at the age of 76 last week, he had performed at an epic homecoming show at Birmingham's Villa Park. Referring to the Back to the Beginning concert, Lulu added: 'Unbelievable, you couldn't make it up. You couldn't plan that exit." Rock legend Ozzy s set to make his final journey through the city that made him when his body will be taken by hearse through the streets of Birmingham, giving fans a chance to say farewell before his private funeral. The cortege will begin its journey down Broad Street at approximately 1pm, passing through landmarks which honour the rock legend's life and career. Among the key stops will be the now-famous Black Sabbath Bridge, where fans have covered a bench with heartwarming tributes and heartfelt messages since news of his death. The hearse will be accompanied by a moving live performance from a Birmingham based brass band, as well as other local musicians. Additionally a tram named after Ozzy, which was unveiled in 2016, will be parked nearby outside the Birmingham Library as the procession moves through the city. A source told The Sun that the funeral guest list includes several of the star's longtime friends and other musicians. The source stated: "His Sabbath bandmates, Tony Iommi, Bill Ward and Geezer Butler, will be there, along with James Hetfield from Metallica." "Elton John is also hoping to join the family at the church. Sharon and his family have been so touched by messages they received not only from Ozzy's friends, but also his fans around the world," they concluded. Singer Yungblud is also expected to attend and give a reading at the private service. Lulu, who was appearing to discuss recent duets with Robbie Williams and Rod Stewart and also to promote new book If Only You Knew, found her message to Sharon ahead of the funeral didn't get too warm a reaction from Lorraine viewers, as reports the Mirror. One wrote on X: "Lulu asking Sharon to get in touch with her. Painful." Another added: "Lulu making it all about her. And Sharon's avoiding her calls. Lol." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Lulu makes desperate plea to Sharon Osbourne on live TV hours before Ozzy's funeral
Lulu begged Sharon Osbourne to get in touch with her during a live appearance on Lorraine on Wednesday morning, just hours ahead of Ozzy's funeral in Birmingham Lulu pleaded with Sharon Osbourne to get in touch with her during a live appearance on Lorraine just hours ahead of Ozzy Osbourne's funeral. The Black Sabbath icon died last week at the age of 76 following a number of health issues and his funeral procession will take place in his hometown of Birmingham on Wednesday afternoon. And when Shout! hitmaker Lulu, also 76, arrived on the ITV's morning chat show, she begged for either the rock star's widow or her assistant Melinda Varga to contact her. Standing alongside stand-in host Christine Lampard, she said: "I wanna say, Sharon, I know you won't be watching but if anyone is watching, Melinda, can you call me? I know they're busy but I want to get hold of you guys because I really, really want to be there to support Sharon." Just days before his death, Ozzy had appeared alongside his Black Sabbath bandmates to perform in what became his final concert at Villa Park in Birmingham, and Lulu, who began her own music career in the 1960s, added: "Unbelievable, you couldn't make it up. You couldn't plan that exit." The former Absolutely Fabulous star also noted that the 'last interesting' celebrity death to her was that of magician Tommy Cooper, who famously suffered a fatal heart attack whilst performing on live television in 1984. She said: "This was a long, long time ago, was Tommy Cooper, he was on [stage], chatting away, he's funny as hell and everyone's laughing. Then he pulls the curtain, says goodbye and he just drops. That's how I wanna go! I'm making this light, but, it' so sad." But Lulu's plea to Sharon did not go down entirely well with fans who had tuned in, with one writing on X: "Lulu asking Sharon to get in touch with her. Painful," whilst another said: "Lulu making it all about her. And Sharon's avoiding her calls lol". Ozzy died age 76 on Tuesday last week, with his private funeral taking place just over a week later. His family has decided to give fans one last chance to pay their respects to the legendary rocker as a special procession will head down Broad Street in his hometown of Birmingham. The procession will pass Black Sabbath bridge and bench, where floral tributes have been laid out for the music icon. Ozzy will be followed by his family in the special procession as they will be accompanied by a live brass band, Bostin' Brass. The procession is expected to take place from 1pm, with Broad Street closed to traffic from 7am. Ozzy's family are covering the costs, with the council helping with the road closure. The Price of Darkness was "desperate to come home" in recent years following his Parkinson's diagnosis, and Ozzy made it back to England before his death. The poignant message above the statement announcing his death read "Birmingham, England July 22, 2025" - revealing that Ozzy made it back home for one last time. He is survived by his wife Sharon and their children Jack, Aimee, Kelly as well as Jessica, Louis and Elliott from his first marriage. The family statement announcing his death read: "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love." We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis." An air ambulance landed close to Ozzy's Buckinghamshire mansion at around 10:30am on Tuesday, and medics spent two hours attempting to save the Black Sabbath musician. A local resident said they became alarmed after noticing the helicopter in the quiet village and saw it landing close to Ozzy and Sharon's mansion. They told the MailOnline: "All of us were talking about it and wondering what had happened. We immediately feared it may be for him as he was known to be in fragile health. When we heard later that night that he had died it confirmed our worst fears."

Loose Women pulled from screens all week as troubled talk show dealt another blow in ITV schedule shake-up
Loose Women has been pulled from our screens all week as part of another ITV schedule shake-up. The programme usually airs on the popular channel straight after This Morning at 12:30pm and wraps up an hour later. But this week ITV are covering the Goodwood Races between 1pm and 4pm. This means that after This Morning finishes at 12:30pm, the ITV Lunch Time News is on until 12:50pm, followed by ITV News London until the races start. The new schedule will remain in place until the start of next week. At the end of Monday's episode Loose Women host Ruth Langsford, 65, told viewers: 'That's it for today and actually for the rest of this week. 'We're not on this week because of the horse racing, but we will be back next Monday. Have a great afternoon!' This isn't the first time that the popular programme has been cancelled in recent weeks. Back on June 17 Loose Women was cancelled due to the coverage of the Royal Ascot. Then weeks before on June 6 the show didn't air due to ITV airing the first Derby meeting from Epsom races. In recent months Loose Women has hit headlines after it was revealed back in May that it has been axed for half the year and Lorraine's runtime has been slashed by 30 minutes, as ITV Daytime bosses announced huge cuts today with job losses in excess of 220. Recently Loose lady Janet Street-Porter revealed which stars are at risk from brutal cost-saving cuts by ITV - and which panelists are safe. The 78-year-old has shed light on the reality behind the looming cuts proposed by the broadcaster, which are set to impact several daytime shows. Janet appears certain that the 'older' Loose Women stars are not likely to be cut, given they appeal more directly to the show's target demographic. But she warns that newcomers, younger stars or those with less experience could be at risk. 'There are no plans to get rid of the older women despite what some people have said,' Janet said. The Brentford-born writer said the panel programme has gained the trust of female viewers as a place where important female-centred topics are discussed. 'I think Loose Women has become a programme that is trusted by a lot of women because we talk about the issues that they are concerned about - whether it's female health, domestic violence or how politicians don't really understand working women,' she said. 'I think the show has managed to connect women who wouldn't otherwise have a voice. 'And it's delivered with a lot of laughs because we don't take ourselves too seriously.' Loose Women producers are expected to cut celebrity guests from the show - and growing fears the ITV staple could even be cancelled within a year. The long-running series usually welcomes a host of celebrities onto the panel to promote upcoming projects and have had the likes of Naomi Campbell, Elizabeth Hurley, Joan Collins, and even former Prime Minster Rishi Sunak appear. But according to insiders, once ITV's budget cuts come into effect in January, Loose Women will no longer have A-list guests in the studio, and the broadcast is planned to only consist of the panel debating newsworthy topics from the week.
