Nora Fatehi On Tamil Debut With Kanchana 4: ‘Language Is A Challenge, But…'

Nora Fatehi is all set for her Tamil debut with Kanchana 4. She calls language a challenge but embraces it, sharing excitement about stepping into Tamil cinema. Nora Fatehi is all set for her Tamil debut as the actor joins Kanchana 4 as the female lead. Kanchana 4 is one of the much-awaited films, and joining it as a lead, especially in a debut, is quite exciting for Nora. She is embracing this new phase of her career with enthusiasm. While talking to Hindustan Times about why she chose Kanchana 4, Nora Fatehi shares, 'When Kanchana 4 was offered to me, I immediately felt it was the right project to step into Tamil cinema. The franchise already has such a strong legacy, and the script was so unique that I wanted to be part of it. I was looking to be a part of another comedy after the success of Madgaon Express." Language has been a challenge, but Nora isn't one to shy away from experiments. 'Of course, language is always a challenge, but I love challenges. It's definitely the hardest so far, but I spend extra hours rehearsing," she explains. With experience in Malayalam and Telugu industries too, Nora reflects on the differences she's noticed. 'Every industry has its own flavour. Tamil cinema is very rooted in storytelling, and there's a lot of emphasis on performance and strong scripts. Bollywood, on the other hand, has its own larger-than-life energy. For me, it's exciting to experience and learn from both worlds." All you need to know about Nora Fatehi Nora Fatehi was raised in Toronto by her Moroccan parents. Pawan Kalyan's fantasy epic Hari Hara Veera Mallu finally makes its streaming debut. Here's when and where to watch

Pawan Kalyan's latest release, 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu', is finally making its way to streaming after its theatrical run. The Telugu period adventure epic directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and Jyoti Krishna was the much-anticipated release for Pawan Kalyan, since taking over as Andhra Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister. Hari Hara Veera Mallu had a stacked cast consisting of Bobby Deol, Anupam Kher, and Nidhi Agarwal, among several known others, and the mythological fantasy elements promised a stellar big-screen experience. However, the film found little critical acclaim on releasing. The dubbed versions in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam will also be available on Prime Video. Amazon Prime took to their official Twitter handle just hours before the film's streaming debut to post, 'A tale of rebellion, rage, and righteousness. The storm that started in theatres now takes over your screens.' The movie dropped on the platform at midnight on August 20 and took social media by surprise with the sudden announcement. As often is the case with big-ticket Telugu movies, Hari Hara Veera Mallu too had a short theatrical window and is hitting the home screens in under a month from its big screen run. The film garnered mostly cold responses at the time of its release and was heavily criticized for its shoddy VFX work and clumsy storytelling. Hari Hara Veera Mallu tells the story of an outlaw who sets out to hunt down Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb's 'Kohinoor' diamond. The action epic did not live up to its pre-release hype and ended up underperforming in theatres. The OTT release will finally give a section of the fans of the superstar to catch up with this lesser-seen action spectacle.

Coolie box office collection day 6: Rajinikanth's action drama witnesses another drop, earns Rs 9.5 crore in India

Coolie box office collection day 6: Rajinikanth's Coolie, one of the biggest films of the year, hit the screens on August 14 and opened to a thunderous response in India despite receiving mixed reviews. It then stayed strong over the weekend, exceeding expectations. The action drama continued its run on August 19 and raked a decent amount despite a drop in collections. Coolie shines on Tuesday despite a drop Rajinikanth is in the limelight because of his latest film Coolie, which has emerged as a money spinner at the box office. According to Sacnilk, a trade website, it earned Rs 9.5 crore (nett) in India on the sixth day. This is lower than the 12 crore it made on August 18. It, however, is still a respectable figure for a weekday. On Monday, Coolie had an overall occupancy of 25.56% in Tamil. The morning shows saw an occupancy of 18.44%. The figure rose to 22.79% in the afternoon. Coolie further picked up steam during the evening (29.88%) and night (31.13%) shows. It witnessed its best occupancy in Chennai (38.50%) and Trichy (38.25%). Coolie, however, was not able to work its charm in Kochi (12.5%) and Trivandrum (6%). Here is the day-wise breakdown for the film: Day 1: Rs 65 crore Day 2: Rs 54.75 crore Day 3: Rs 39.5 crore Day 4: Rs 35.25 crore Day 5: Rs 12 crore Day 6: Rs 9.5 crore The film's total collection stands at Rs 216 crore. Coolie review: How's the word-of-mouth? Coolie received mixed reviews, with critics lauding Rajinikanth's performance but panning the screenplay. Variety stated that the film has its imperfections but works thanks to its 'aesthetic'. 'Coolie is, on its face, a ridiculous, often impenetrable story. However, its aesthetic triumphs outweigh its imperfections, thanks to some of the most dazzling and thematically turbo-charged on-screen bloodshed you're likely to see this year,' read a part of the review. The average word-of-mouth, however, did not affect Coolie too much in the opening weekend as Rajinikanth's star power proved to be enough to helo it shine at the box office. About Coolie Coolie is an action drama directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film centres on Deva, a former coolie, who decides to protect his friend's 'daughter' after his death. The flick stars Rajinikanth, Shruti Haasan, Nagarjuna, and Upendra. Anirudh Ravichander is the music director.
