Singer Jessie J says she has been diagnosed with ‘early breast cancer'
Singer Jessie J said she has been diagnosed with 'early breast cancer' and plans on undergoing surgery following her performance at this month's Summertime Ball.
The Price Tag singer, 37, said in an Instagram video she has spent much of her recent time 'in and out of tests'.
'I was diagnosed with early breast cancer,' she said.
'Cancer sucks in any form, but I'm holding on to the word 'early'.
'It's a very dramatic way to get a boob job. I am going to disappear for a bit after Summertime Ball to have my surgery, and I will come back with massive tits and more music.'

Jessie, whose full name is Jessica Cornish, said she announced her diagnosis publicly to help her process the news, and to show solidarity with others who are going through a similar experience.
'I just wanted to be open and share it, ' she said.
'One, because, selfishly, I do not talk about it enough. I'm not processing it because I'm working so hard.
'I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories. I'm an open book.
'It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much similar and worse—that's the bit that kills me.'
She continued: 'The timing of it has been mad but also beautiful and given me this incredible perspective in this time.
'But honestly I need to process it and talk about it and, I need a hug. You have loved me through all my good and hard times. And I don't want this to be any different.'
Jessie welcomed her son, Sky Safir Cornish Colman, in 2023, having miscarried in November 2021.
She has battled with ill health throughout her life, having been diagnosed with a heart condition aged eight, suffering a minor stroke aged 18 and having briefly gone deaf in 2020.

Tinie Tempah says nightlife crisis means ‘losing that physical connection'
Tinie Tempah has said that young people are 'losing that physical connection' by not being part of the UK's nightlife economy as he teased new music. The 36-year-old rapper, from south London, is backing the Night Time Industries Association's (NTIA) The Last Night Out campaign, which pushes for people to get away from their screens and onto the dance floor. 'As a dad, I've seen how different things are for this generation,' said Tempah, who has not released a studio album since 2017's Youth, as he appears to have focused towards his children and taken a break from music. 'We're losing that physical connection, the joy and energy that you get from dancing, meeting new people from all backgrounds and being free. 'I didn't want to just talk about it – I wanted to do something. Music brings people together – and nightlife is where that magic happens.' The campaign calls on the Government to step up and provide urgent financial support for night-time venues as well as cultural protection for 'iconic clubs'. The NTIA released data last year showing 37% of nightclubs had closed across the UK since March 2020. Tempah has returned to the studio and is developing a collaboration with gaming platforms Roblox and Fortnite to integrate music and virtual life, according to the NTIA. He is also creating a short film and a series of live events focused on 'driving energetic movement and nightlife', which will be unveiled at technology, creative and business conference SXSW London on Friday. He will be joined at the event at London nightclub XOYO by NTIA chief executive Michael Kill, north London musician and DJ Majestic and BBC Radio 1 DJ Charlie Tee for a 'one-off evening of music, culture and conversation about the future of the UK's night-time economy'. Now open: Residence, Melbourne's most intriguing new concept restaurant
Newly reopened after significant refurbishments, Parkville's Potter Museum of Art has unveiled one of the more interesting new restaurants in town: Residence. The idea is simple. Each year, a new chef takes the helm to introduce a new concept in the space. The annually rotating Chef in Residence program doesn't just treat Melbourne diners to an ever-evolving dining experience year after year; it also supports some of the nation's best up-and-coming chefs in manifesting their wildest restaurant dreams – from mood to menu – into customer-facing reality. Each chef also gets intensive mentorship and a financial stake in the restaurant. Together, Residence's co-founders Nathen Doyle and Cameron Earl bring more than two decades of industry experience to the table. Doyle played an integral role in launching hip Carlton spots like Heartattack and Vine and Sunhands, plus inclusive wine events operator Good Booze Blind, while Earl (who started his career at age 13 as a kitchen hand) has earned his stripes working for some of Melbourne's best-loved venues: Carlton Wine Room, Embla and St. Ali. Inspired by his upbringing in West Yorkshire , Noble's offering features dishes such as smoked bone marrow and oxtail marmalade on toast, grilled John Dory with tomato butter and tarragon and poached peach with lemon verbena and rum sponge. Noble's roast chicken tea has fast become Cherrywood signature, a crystal-clear broth poured over tarragon oil and black garlic that tastes exactly like roast chicken. Arabella concluded by writing: "Don't get me wrong, post partum isn't always glamorous, most days I'm covered in sick, milk, blood or poo. But it's also nice to share the small wins on here." Her followup Instagram story showed Arabella cuddling up with Gigi, "after a very exciting shoot." Arabella revealed last month that she and boyfriend Billy Henty had welcomed a baby girl. Alongside a photo of their new arrival, Arabella wrote: "Our worlds are complete.
