'Far below NBA standard': Stephen Curry proved his pre-draft report wrong in every possible way
The Golden State Warriors have unveiled the pre-draft scouting report about Stephen Curry and made him read it aloud. A video shared on the team's social media channel shows the star guard reading all the shortcomings listed in the report, which cast doubts on him and his ability to be someone a team could rely on.
The report comes weeks after the Golden State Warriors were ousted from the playoffs just before an injured Curry could return to the court and potentially save the team from elimination.
Stephen Curry reacts to his pre-draft report
In the video shared on Golden State Warriors' X page, Stephen Curry reads aloud the pre-draft scouting report about him: 'Far below
NBA
standard in regard to explosiveness and athleticism, a 6'2 is extremely small for an NBA shooting guard position and will likely keep him from being much of a defender at the next level.
Although he's playing point guard, he's not a natural point guard that an NBA team can rely on to run a team, struggles defensively getting around screens, can overshoot and rush into shots from time to time, needs to add some muscle to his upper body, but appears as though he'll always be standing.
A for effort.'
After reading it aloud, Curry adds, 'I appreciate all the motivation and inspiration to do everything this paper said I couldn't do.'

Fans react to video shared by Golden State Warriors
Reacting to the video, an X user wrote, 'But they were actually right, and as soon as he worked on all these things the success came. The scouts can't see the future, they can only tell the present and at best make projections. So win win.'
Another commented, 'That is why he is the GOAT.' One more wrote, 'Wow who the heck wrote that?' A fan reacted, 'Love you Curry.' Many others called him GOAT in the comments section.
All that Stephen Curry has achieved so far
Curry has been playing for the Golden State Warriors since 2009.
He is a four-time NBA champion, a two-time NBA MVP, eleven-time NBA All-Star, and an eleven-time All-NBA Team selection (including four on the First Team). Besides the NBA, he has also won a gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics as part of the U.S. national team and two gold medals at the FIBA World Cup.

Tyler Loop steps into the spotlight with pressure to perform right away To fill the legendary role, the Ravens are turning to rookies, including sixth-round draft pick Tyler Loop. Known for his consistency and strong leg in college, Loop is now tasked with the unenviable challenge of stepping into the shadow of a player whose foot won games and defined an era. — koestreicher34 (@koestreicher34) Loop's success at the college level earned him a shot, but transitioning to the NFL is no small feat. The pressure is real. Every kick he takes will inevitably be measured against Tucker's nearly flawless resume. Justin Tucker leaves behind more than just records — he defined reliability Replacing Tucker is about more than stats. His record-setting 66-yard field goal in 2021 was a moment of pure NFL history, but his influence went beyond highlight reels. Tucker was a steadying force for the team, a clutch performer with near-automatic accuracy, and a leader in the locker room. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 추가비용 걱정없는 전체임플란트 300만원 kimplant 더 알아보기 Undo He was, for many fans, the most trusted player on the roster. Rookie QB Shedeur Sanders caught speeding at 101 mph, faces fine or court date
Shedeur Sanders cited for going 101 mph on Ohio highway days before Browns training camp (Image via Getty) Just months after being drafted by the Cleveland Browns, rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders is already making headlines and not the kind the team was hoping for. Early Tuesday morning, the 22-year-old was pulled over in Ohio for allegedly speeding at 101 miles per hour on the highway. It was 12:24 a.m., and according to police records, Sanders was driving north on I-71 when he was cited for going 41 mph over the limit. Police say Shedeur Sanders was clocked at 101 mph near Strongsville, Ohio According to the citation, Shedeur was pulled over by local authorities in Strongsville, about 20 minutes from downtown Cleveland. He was allegedly driving 101 mph, a clear violation of the speed limit and one that could come with steep penalties depending on how the case is handled. For now, it's a standard traffic ticket, but driving over 100 mph can sometimes result in harsher consequences depending on local laws, past driving history, or how the court views the offense. Luckily for Shedeur, this doesn't appear to involve any DUI or reckless endangerment charges, just excessive speed. The rookie QB now has two options: fight it in court or pay up Shedeur now has a choice: he can either fight the ticket in court or pay the fine outright. That's standard in these cases though fighting it could come with the hope of reducing points or penalties on his license. No official statement has been released by Sanders or the Browns organization, but it's safe to assume the team is aware. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Switch to UnionBank Rewards Card UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo And considering this is his rookie offseason, the last thing they want is more off-field drama. Fans react as Sanders' 'fast start' takes on a whole new meaning Naturally, fans didn't waste time chiming in. Some joked that Sanders is just 'practicing his 40-yard dash in a car,' while others questioned his decision-making just weeks before Browns training camp. It's not uncommon for NFL players to land in hot water over speeding tickets, but driving over 100 mph? That's never a good look, especially for a rookie QB already under the microscope thanks to his famous last name and high expectations. While no one's calling this a scandal, it's definitely not the cleanest way to kick off your NFL career. Shedeur has time to clean it up, either by paying the fine or showing up in court. But you can bet Browns fans and coaches will be watching closely.
