GMA Gala 2025 preparations now in full swing
According to Nelson Canlas' report in '24 Oras' Friday, among the event's organizers are GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes and Sparkle GMA Artist Center First Vice President Joy Marcelo.
'Ako, I'm excited personally to see how our stars will level up what they're wearing, their styling. So I'm very excited to see that. And every Gala, I see them just mingling, enjoying each other's company, and sana ito talagang maging opportunity again for them to just be themselves and enjoy. Enjoy friendship, enjoy the feeling of family,' Gozon-Valdes said.
The event will be styled by Gideon Hermosa.
'Since we are celebrating, I mean, GMA is celebrating their 75th anniversary this year, yes, diamond anniversary, so it's going to be bigger, and I would say more unique and siyempre mas bongga,' he said.
Guests will be served a three-course meal made with imported ingredients.
'It's all about glamour, it's all about quality, it's all about GMA,' Marriott Hotel Manila Executive Chef Meik Brammer said.
Stars are already finalizing their looks for the momentous occasion, each bringing a unique vision to their attire.
'Yes, may gown na po. May theme ulit siya. And 'yun lang po. May theme kasi every time I do a gala, may kwento 'yung ginagawa ko, may kwento 'yung gown,' Kylie Padilla said.
'Meron na akong vision na sana. Maganda kasi 'yung gusto kong gown,' Kazel Kinouchi said.
Jak Roberto says he wants to go simple.
'Suit and tie lang naman eh. Ang mahalaga lang sa amin mag-sharpen 'yung dating namin, maging dapper talaga pag dating sa Gala,' he said.
Michael Sager said that he is excited to reunite with his fellow "PBB" housemates at the event.
'We'll go classic again, but lagyan natin ng konting twist para special,' he said.
'Gusto ko, class. May iba din tayong atake 'ba gano'n. Pakitaan ko sila na puwede tayong mag-high fashion,' Shuvee Etrata said.
The GMA Gala is returning for its fourth year, and it will be held on August 2.
The event is a star-studded gathering of Kapuso stars and other showbiz personalities. They walk down the red carpet in fashionable outfits and enjoy an evening of camaraderie and celebration.
Proceeds of the event go to a charitable cause. Last year, the funds were donated to the GMA Kapuso Foundation for the benefit of Typhoon Carina victims.

'The Clash': Adelle Yu says she still feels like a winner
Adelle Yu is the type to keep her head held high. The singer from Cotabato City is the latest hopeful to be eliminated from 'The Clash' but she says she still feels like a winner. 'I think I would want to circle back to my core. Because I will not deny, I'm just a human being, it will affect me, make me feel sad at some point. For Adelle, the biggest challenges in her journey were the vocal conditioning and the pressure of the competition as she thinks 'about how to get the attention of the judges of the judges, 'yung mga tao, pano mo ma-touch 'yung hearts nila through your song.' Meanwhile, her biggest achievement was to be seen by audiences which is something 'that will live on for the rest of my life.' 'In-allow nila 'ko to be me, to be authentic to myself, to the sound that I have,' she said. Adelle is also thankful for the support of her home province. She said she's surprised at her social media presence, and that certain videos get high views. ''Yung outpouring of support, para siyang understatement for me. Should she have won, Adelle said she would visit her grandparents' resting places as they never saw her on 'The Clash,' have a concert, and release an album. In a previous interview, Adelle told GMA News Online that she chose the song 'Angels Brought Me Here" by Guy Sebastian to describe her journey because she did not expect to compete in 'The Clash 2025.' As much as she had wanted to join before, she said she was not in the right mindset and had other priorities like her family and work. 'Parang hindi siya ina-allow ng pagkakataon until today.
