Logan Lerman loved the Only Murders in the Building set

Perth Nowa day ago
Logan Lerman found the Only Murders in the Building set to be "oddly fun".
The 33-year-old actor joined the cast of the hit TV show for season five, and Logan has revealed that he relished the experience of working with the likes of Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez.
Logan told People: "It's an oddly fun set to be on."
The actor explained that "sometimes, sets are not that enjoyable". However, he hailed the Only Murders set for being "a really good one".
He shared: "It's so great. That's a really fun show to work on. I had a really good time."
Despite this, Logan is determined to remain tight-lipped about his on-screen character.
He said: "I don't want to ruin anything, but I'm excited for people to see it."
Meanwhile, Selena previously admitted that she loves working with Steve and Martin on the show.
The 33-year-old actress also praised the show's writers, acknowledging that they are key to the success of Only Murders in the Building.
She told Numero: "Sometimes it's just impossible to keep a straight face for me. They are much better at it than me.
"I love comedy and I have so much fun on set. And I think it is mainly thanks to the writing and to the scriptwriters."
Asked what she's learned from working with Steve and Martin, Selena replied: "I just enjoy their company. Even when I'm on set, sitting, waiting around for something to happen and they're playing a game, I find some comfort in that. I feel very safe and protected around them."
Selena feels that she's grown into her on-screen character.
The brunette beauty - who has also enjoyed huge success with her music - shared: "I feel like I've been able to gradually become Mabel and to grow with her. She is a part of me now. I'm just enjoying the process."
Despite this, Selena actually remains in the dark about the show's murder mysteries until the cameras start rolling.
Speaking ahead of season four of the show, she said: "I had no idea about who had done what until the shooting of the film was about to start. So it was a real surprise."

Selena Gomez wants 'biscuits and gravy' at her wedding

Selena Gomez plans to eat "biscuits and gravy" at her wedding. The 33-year-old star is engaged to record producer Benny Blanco, and Selena has revealed the unusual dessert that she wants to eat on her big day. The Only Murders in the Building star said in a Rare Beauty TikTok video: "Whenever that day comes, I do know I don't want a big cake. "My preferred dessert I think would be biscuits and gravy. My nana's biscuits and gravy. That sounds like dessert to me." Despite this, Selena would still like to have a small cake as a memento of the occasion. The brunette beauty - who began dating Benny in 2023 - shared: "I think I want a mini one for just us that we can freeze." Meanwhile, Selena previously revealed that she'd love to have children one day. The actress announced her engagement to Benny in 2024, and Selena would love to raise children with him in the future. Selena - who previously revealed that she isn't able to carry her own children - said on the Jay Shetty Podcast: "I don't know what will happen, obviously, but I love children. I have an 11-year-old sister that I absolutely adore. "I love making [children] laugh; they're just so sweet. So absolutely, when that day comes, I'm so excited for it." Benny observed that Selena is the "ultimate level of shy". However, the producer noted that her demeanour changes when she's around children. The 37-year-old star - who has previously worked with Justin Bieber and The Weeknd, two of Selena's former boyfriends - said: "When she walks into a room, her main goal is to disappear into the crowd. My mom is very similar, [she] and my mom are very similar. "They'll wait and say like one thing throughout the night that winds up being the most poignant or funny thing of the night. But I'm gonna have diarrhoea of the mouth talking to everyone. "Whenever there's kids at a place it's the only time I see her do that. She immediately goes to the kids and has these conversations for hours with the kids."

Jamie Lee Curtis admits she's 'very much like' Janet Leigh

Jamie Lee Curtis thinks she's like her mom "in many, many, ways". The 66-year-old actress is the daughter of screen idols Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, and Jamie admits that she could see a lot of herself in her mom, who passed away in 2004, aged 77. The Hollywood star - who has been married to Christopher Guest since 1984 - told People: "I tried to do everything not to be my mother. And, of course, I'm very much like my mother in many, many, ways. "My admiration for her has swelled as my disappointments have lessened. I know that my mother was so proud of me and and what I've achieved, that she respected my husband's work and was thrilled to be a grandma." Despite this, Jamie thinks her mom would've "loathed" her appearance in Everything Everywhere All at Once, the 2022 comedy-drama film. The actress explained: "My mother's been gone a long time. And today I have a freedom to be myself that my mother's generation would never have allowed. My mother would've been incredibly upset at Everything Everywhere All at Once and how I looked." Jamie believes her mom's generation was more image-orientated than her own. And she thinks that Janet would've disliked her appearance in The Last Showgirl, too. The veteran actress - who remains one of Hollywood's most bankable stars - explained: "Her generation was so much about your body and what you look like. And the beauty. The beauty is just who she was. That's what her life was. "My mother was literally jaw dropping. But I think that would've been very hard for her to see me with my tummy sticking out. Or in [the film] Last Showgirl, for her to see me in that dressing room at 66 years old. That really would've upset her. "I know her very well. I have accepted myself in a much bigger way than I think she felt she was allowed to, through her generation."

Billy Joel's wife was 'unimpressed' by his musical talents

Billy Joel's wife was "very unimpressed with the whole Billy Joel thing" when they first met. The 76-year-old star tried to woo Alexis, 43, with his musical talents during the early days of their romance, but she was completely unimpressed by his efforts. In the new HBO documentary series Billy Joel: And So It Goes, he explains: "I remember the first time I met Alexis, we went to my house, and I wanted to play the piano for her. It's a form of communication for me." Billy assumed that Alexis would be wowed by his award-winning talents. However, she was unmoved when he played the piano for her. Billy - who married Alexis in 2015 - said: "I'm playing that and she's completely unimpressed with it, totally. She couldn't care less what I'm playing and I'm thinking, 'Oh OK, this isn't working.' "She was very unimpressed with the whole Billy Joel thing, which impressed me. Because I thought, 'OK, maybe she's just here because she likes me, not the Billy Joel guy.'" The music star - who has daughters Della, nine, and Remy, seven, with Alexis - made a conscious effort to develop their relationship away from the spotlight. He explained: "We had a couple years together before we had kids and he had completely stopped doing shows. We travelled everywhere. We did a motorcycle trip from Maine down to Long Island, we were on boats 24/7. We were in Europe. We had so much fun." Meanwhile, Billy recently admitted that he was hesitant about committing to his HBO documentary. The music icon revealed that he was reluctant to reflect on some of the "stupid stuff" he's done in the past. He told People: "I've resisted this kind of thing for so long. I'm sick of talking about myself. Some of the stupid stuff I did, that's painful to talk about. (But) they asked me for some thematic guidance. I said, 'Just tell the truth.'" Billy initially just wanted to get the documentary "over with" because he doesn't enjoy talking about himself. The Uptown Girl hitmaker said: "My goal was to get it over with. "When I do interviews, people just ask you about yourself and you get a little self-conscious about it eventually. It's almost embarrassing. "When you're talking about your personal life detached from the material ... I suppose there's a little bit of wariness involved."
