Frank Bruno makes first appearance since health scare at Eubank Jr vs Benn fight
British boxing legend Frank Bruno was ringside to watch the Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn fight in his first public appearance since his recent health scare.
The former heavyweight champion fell 'seriously ill' during a long-haul flight to Thailand last month.
Bruno was treated by airport medics after landing in Doha, Qatar, spending the next two weeks in hospital.
The father of four later provided an update on his condition, confirming he had been hospitalised with a 'viral infection'.
Bruno regularly engages in speaking tours across the globe, taking time off from his busy schedule to recover from his recent illness.
Resting up at home, Bruno recently missed the British Boxing Awards, unable to accept a Lifetime Achievement award at the end of March.
But the 63-year-old looked in fine shape as he took his seat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday night where Eubank Jr and Benn will settle a brutal rivalry on Saturday night. More Trending
Bruno was part of a glorious generation of British fighters in the 80s and 90s, providing unforgettable nights alongside Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank Snr whose sons renew the rivalry tonight.
In his prime, Bruno was one of the biggest names in British sport, a ferocious and endearing heavyweight with 38 of his 40 victories in the ring coming via knockout.
His crowning moment came in 1995 when he beat Oliver McCall at Wembley to win the WBC heavyweight title on home soil.
The Londoner also twice shared the ring with Mike Tyson in 1989 and 1996 with that second meeting proving to be his last fight before he retired with a record of 40 wins and five losses.

How Celtic-bound Tierney fared in Scotland's loss to Iceland

Liverpool make huge new Wirtz offer in bid to strike British record transfer
Liverpool have submitted a new offer to Bayer Leverkusen for Florian Wirtz - but are still below the German club's valuation of the player. The bid totals £113million with £100m initially and a further £13m in add ons. It would be a British transfer record, eclipsing the £107m that Chelsea splashed out on Enzo Fernandes back in 2023. But Bayer Leverkusen believe the German star is worth £126m (€150m). Talks are continuing between the clubs and will go on through the weekend. Liverpool do not want to pay the full asking price the Bundesliga side are looking for and are hoping to strike a compromise. Wirtz, 22, has made it clear to his club that he only wants to move to Anfield after Manchester City opted out of the race for his signature when it became clear his preference was Merseyside. Sporting director Richard Hughes is leading negotiations and is hopeful a deal can be reached in the coming days. Boss Arne Slot sees Wirtz as a player who can push Liverpool forward as they bid to defend the Premier League title and go for glory in the Champions League. He's seen as a talent who can make an instant impact but with the potential to become even better over the coming years. Personal terms won't be an issue once a fee is agreed and the player is waiting for the green light to head to Liverpool for a medical next week after Germany face France in the Nations League third-place play-off on Sunday.
