MANY of my friends no longer wear lipstick, instead, we're all mad for tinted lip balms.
They add a hint of colour and loads of moisture and you can reapply without a trip to the bathroom.

These are three of my favourites . . .

Naturium Phyto-Glow Lip Balm stays put for hours
Credit: Supplied
Naturium Phyto-Glow Lip Balm, £12 for 10ml, spacenk.com: I have to confess that this is my absolute go to.
I've pretty much got one in every handbag.
The formula is thick enough that it stays put for hours, but it doesn't feel heavy or gloopy, and the colour is the perfect level of pigment that tints lips and makes me feel put together without adding too much colour that I've got to worry about reapplying.
I accidentally put one through the washer a couple of weeks ago after leaving it in my trouser pocket, and was over the moon that it came out unharmed.
MID-RANGE

Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm tastes good enough to eat
Credit: Supplied
Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm, £23 for 15g, spacenk.com: If you're on Instagram, I would bet good money you've seen one of these balms on your feed.
The cute pastel packaging is major eye candy, and the flavours are good enough to eat – the pale pink 'Birthday Cake' is my niece's favourite, but I prefer the deep-red 'Cherry' flavour.
It has a silicone applicator tip that feels soothing on lips and helps evenly distribute the product, which is helpful as it's on the more pigmented side.
The little-known shopping gem where you can get Body Shop lip balms for a quid, super comfy pillows & even pet bargains
It wears off faster than the Naturium, which means I have to reapply more regularly (and use up the tube sooner) but otherwise, I can't pick any flaws.
LUXURY

Lancome Lip Idole Butterglow Tinted Lip Balm feels silky on the lips
Credit: Supplied
Lancome Lip Idole Butterglow Tinted Lip Balm, £34 for 3g, boots.com: I love the bullet format of this balm – and the super luxe packaging – you can immediately see what you're paying for, which makes parting with the cash slightly more justifiable.
How much colour payoff you get differs with each shade – the darker ones are more pigmented, which is to be expected.
I love how silky it feels on my lips, and the glossy shine isn't at all sticky which is always a worry.
My mum is super fussy about lip products but I've got her hooked too.
When your hay fever symptoms could really be signs of cancer

Ariana Grande has released her latest fragrance, R.E.M. Cherry Eclipse
Credit: Supplied
WHETHER it's food, beauty or fashion, cherries have been in the spotlight for much of this year, and that doesn't look to be changing.
Pop star Ariana Grande's latest fragrance, R.E.M. Cherry Eclipse, £45 for 50ml EDP smells far more grown up than the barbie-pink campaign imagery would lead you to believe.
Notes of black cherry, jasmine, marshmallow, amber and musk, make a romantic, cosy scent.

Robbie Williams' wife Ayda gives one-word opinion on Edinburgh after epic Murrayfield gig

Former Loose Women star Ayda Field, wife of Robbie Williams, summed up her time in Scotland with just one word while in Edinburgh for the opening night of Robbie's Britpop Tour at Murrayfield Stadium Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field have been sharing glimpses of their time in Edinburgh over the past few days. The Angels singer arrived in the capital ahead of his much-anticipated performance at Murrayfield Stadium on Saturday night. Around 70,000 people headed to Edinburgh for the gig before Robbie continues his 'Britpop' Tour in London, Manchester, Bath and then across Europe - with dates in Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Sweden. ‌ Ahead of the show, Ayda gave her one million Instagram followers a glimpse into her Scottish adventure, describing it in one word: "magical". ‌ She explored Edinburgh's famous Royal Mile, taking in some of the city's iconic sights before heading to Edinburgh's Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium to watch her husband's performance. Sharing a post on social media, she said: "@robbiewilliams you are TREMENDOUS. And Scotland, thank you for a magical first night of the BRIT POP tour." The singer also made sure to thank his fans once the gig was over. He shared a montage of pictures of him on stage during the show on Instagram, along with the caption: "Scotland - I love you. That was an incredible opening night. Until next time. Rob x." During the lead up to the gig, Robbie and Ayda spent some time in Gleneagles, relaxing before the tour kicked off on Saturday at Murrayfield. The American actress showed off the beautiful gardens, where the couple had been enjoying scenic walks, along with photos of the nearby stream. ‌ She also revealed they had been making the most of the drink offerings available to them at the luxurious £1600 a night five star hotel. She shared some snaps online of the couple enjoying the whiskey offerings at the glorious resort, taking a photo of an ice bucket which contained six bottles of wine. In the bucket was also the non-alcoholic wine, Wild Idol, which is priced at £30 a bottle in the shops, making it one of the most expensive no alcohol drinks. ‌ Ayda made a joke, writing: 'My drink order just arrived." Similar to the wine, she showed off four bottles of The Macallan whiskey including one bottle of Time: Space Mastery 200 anniversary edition that is worth £1,200 in shows and would be considerably more at the five star resort. ‌ After the gig at Murrayfield, fans were quick to take to X, formally known as Twitter, to express their opinion on Saturday night's show. One fan wrote: "Fantastic evening from the man of Entertainment .. Rob, you and your crew we're absolutely on point. Everyone was amazing. The crowd was electrified." As another stated how proud they were of Robbie, writing: "It was phenomenal. I was so proud of you and you absolutely bossed it. You've still got it and I can't wait till next time. Enjoy the rest of the tour. Love always." A third jokingly said: "Brilliant show & my mrs nearly deafened me when you walked past us."

Scary stats show two in five Brits believe doom-scrolling is self-care

Wellness has never been more popular, you would think. But new data shows that half of Brits (47%) are getting less 'me time' than they did five years ago. Scrolling through TikTok, Instagram, X (formerly known as Twitter), and other social media platforms is even considered a form of self-care by 38% of Brits, according to a new study. Brits have seemingly forgotten how to treat themselves, even though a massive 97% of people agree that taking time out is essential for their wellbeing, but very few are actually making space for it, according to the research commissioned by Fox's Fabulous Chocolatey, which spoke to 2000 adults. It also showed that more than one in 10 (14%) struggle to remember when the last time they did something indulgent just for themselves. Back-to-back meetings, endless to-do lists, and juggling the needs of others leaves Brits with very little time for themselves, with just 36% of people managing to take a moment for 'me time' themselves every day. Pets and digital distractions, as well as guilt, are also among the top reasons, alongside money, that people struggle to find time. Top 10 list of Brits biggest barriers to taking more 'me time': Work/ my job (25%) Lack of time (13%) Looking after my children (13%) Spending time with family (10%) Cleaning (7%) Digital distractions (4%) Looking after pets (4%) Financial reasons (4%) Spending time with friends (3%) Guilt (3%) Fox's Fabulous Chocolatey has teamed up with king of fabulous himself, Craig Revel Horwood, to encourage Brits to put themselves first for once, without the guilt. 'Darling, if you're not treating yourself, then what are you doing! Life is far too short not to take time for yourself to unwind and indulge,' Revel Horwood said. "That's why I'm thrilled to partner with Fox's Fabulous Chocolatey because frankly, we all deserve a moment that's as rich, luxurious, and generous as these fabulous biscuits.' To help inspire the nation, Fox's Fabulous Chocolatey is launching the Fabulous Me Time Moments competition, giving one lucky winner £1,000 of luxury spa vouchers. Isobel Farthing at Fox's Fabulous Chocolatey said: 'It's shocking how few of us give ourselves permission to properly unwind. We believe a little indulgence goes a long way. Fox's Chocolatey Rounds are baked with generosity in every bite, the perfect accompaniment to some much-deserved me time".

Shop the fleece gilet that Clarkson's Farm star Harriet Cowan owns in 2 colours

Harriet Cowan has become the standout star of season five of Clarkson's Farm, and her uniform fleece gilet is already being coveted by fans – so we tracked it down When on the lookout for fashion inspiration, you probably wouldn't think to head straight to Diddly Squat Farm, the location of Jeremy Clarkson 's Amazon Prime hit series Clarkson's Farm. However the arrival of new team member Harriet Cowan is about to change all that, as fans have already labelled her a fan favourite, not to mention been searching her social media for where to buy some of her outfits. And whilst Harriet's outfits are all done with practical farm life in mind, it seems this summer everyone's hoping to copy some of her country chic looks. One piece that's been a stand out is her fleece gilet, which has appeared in several scenes on the show, not to mention been spotted in multiple social media posts of hers posted prior to the show airing. In fact, Harriet loves the gilet so much she owns it in at least two colours. Whilst she's not mentioned the brand on her TikTok and Instagram posts, an eagle eyed look at her previous posts indicated it's most likely to be Schoffel's Lyndon Fleece Gilet. Although plenty of other outdoor brands have created their own versions, Schoffel's is considered the original blueprint for the look. It's also been worn by fellow Clarkson's Farm stars Charlie Ireland and Kaleb Cooper, although they would have presumably opted for the men's Oakham version. Harriet appears to have both the navy and the forest green colours, and a close look at some of her TikTok videos shows the white writing detail on the front zip and Schoffel's signature brown trim. It also features an adjustable drawcord around the waist which lets you cinch it in for a little more shape. The technical fleece is soft, warm, breathable and hard wearing, making it perfect for being out in the British countryside, and is made from Italian-milled Pontetorto fleece. It's currently available in sizes 6 to 22 for £160, with 10 colours to choose from. Although there are TikTok videos of Harriet wearing the iconic fleece as far back as 2021, more recently, Harriet shared a new addition to her fleece gilet collection, posting that Beaumont and Bear had also gifted her a navy fleece with a similar design. There are also plenty of other options around, including Finisterre's Women's Hegen Wool Fleece Gilet which is £135 and comes in a light oatmeal colour. For bargain hunters, Craghoppers has slashed the price of its Women's Dinas Vest from £65 to £45.50. Meanwhile Regatta's currently has 50% off slashing it to £12.50. However for the true authentic countrywear look – and to follow in almost all of the Clarkson's Farm stars' footsteps, shop Schoffel's women's Lyndon Fleece Gilet and men's Oakham Fleece Gilet now.
