Celebrities attending Tiger Woods TGL golf matches at SoFi Center
While most fans attending TGL golf matches since January are ordinary people, there has been no lack of big-named celebrities at SoFi Center.
Atlanta Drive GC defeated New York Golf Club 6-5 in the first match of the TGL Finals Series.
Patrick Cantlay secured the winning point for Atlanta against Xander Schauffele on the final hole.
The two teams will face off again on Tuesday for the second match of the series.
The winner of the TGL Finals will receive a $9 million prize.
PALM BEACH GARDENS — Atlanta Drive GC is one win away from the inaugural SoFi Cup and a $9 million-dollar grand prize.
Atlanta defeated New York 6-5 on Monday night in the first match of the best-of-three TGL Finals Series at the SoFi Center. Patrick Cantlay secured the winning point against Xander Schauffele on the final singles hole after Schauffele's tying putt lipped out of the cup.
It was a thrilling late night finish that creeped into Monday's final hour after a delayed broadcast start.
"I think all of us are a little amped up right now but also ready to go to sleep," Atlanta's Justin Thomas said.
Tied 2-2 after nine holes of triples, New York and Atlanta traded Hammer wins, first by New York's Cam Young and then by Atlanta's Billy Horschel, on the first two holes of singles.
Horschel's win provided one of the night's most dramatic moments as he let out a roar and first pump toward a rowdy pro-New York crowd after burying an 11-foot putt. Both teams considered it a turning point in the post-match presser.
"Cam did a lot of the dirty work to win us two points, which is a hard thing to do against them, and for us to give it right back, that's probably my biggest regret was accepting that hammer where Billy made that putt," Schauffele said.
Young outscrambled Justin Thomas on hole No. 13 to restore New York's 5-4 advantage but Atlanta again recovered on No. 14 with a tremendous tee shot into a par-3 by Horschel. New York declined Atlanta's Hammer throw to send it to the final hole tied.
Atlanta and New York will square off once again on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the second match of the TGL Finals Series. A third match will be played at 9 p.m. if necessary.

"Call Her Daddy" host Alex Cooper alleges sexual harassment by Boston University soccer coach
Before she amassed tens of millions of followers and one of the most popular podcasts in the world, Alex Cooper, the host of "Call Her Daddy," played soccer at Boston University. In her new documentary, "Call Her Alex," dropping Tuesday on Hulu, Cooper opened up for the first time about years' worth of alleged sexual harassment from her soccer coach, Nancy Feldman. Allegations in new documentary The trailer for the documentary alludes to a bombshell, life altering confession during a scene filmed on Boston University's soccer field. But as reported in The Hollywood Reporter, Cooper describes her coach becoming "fixated" with her and her body. Cooper alleges Feldman would leverage field time in exchange for information about her sex life. According to Boston University, Feldman retired in 2022. At the film's premiere in New York City over the weekend, Cooper is asked in social media videos about the revelations. Cooper said it was a trip to BU during the project's filming, that she learned the alleged behavior had been continuing a decade later. Just hours before the global release of her new Hulu documentary, Cooper spoke following the film's premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival over the weekend in New York City. "I spoke to one of the victims and hearing her story was horrific," Cooper said in the clip. "I knew in that moment if I don't speak about this. It is going to continue happening." She also alleged the athletic director, who per the university's website is still in his current role, declined to hear the evidence of harassment when her parents tried to present it to him. "We could go over the list of people who basically let me go and didn't check on me, mental health, nothing," Cooper said. Feldman, Boston University, nor the athletic department responded to our repeated requests for a comment for this report.

Sydney Sweeney Bathwater Hits eBay For Thousands Of Dollars After Selling Out
The announcement that Dr. Squatch would be collaborating with Sydney Sweeney to sell a new scent of soap made with her bathwater just about broke the internet. Following that, after listing the soap for sale – named ' Sydney's Bathwater Bliss ' – the product immediately sold out within seconds. Dr. Squatch put up as many as 5,000 bars of soap for sale. Each bar was priced at $8.00. As shared via NBC New York, they were listed for sale at 12 PM ET, and they were immediately out of stock. Users were said to have an 'estimated wait time to check out […] listed at nearly 250 minutes,' while 'others complained the website crashed.' It seems as though scalpers beat the average consumers to the punch, with listings now appearing on eBay following the sale. Prices on the reseller website range anywhere from $300 to $2,000. It's an unfortunate problem that has plagued similar online drops for the last few years. Of course, soap made from Sydney Sweeney's used bathwater was always destined to be a high seller. After all, Sweeney and Dr. Squatch already got consumers interested with their collaborative marketing campaign, it made sense that selling soap with Sweeney's more direct involvement would be the next step. Now that all 5,000 bars of soap have sold out, however, it remains to be seen what direction Sydney Sweeney and Dr. Squatch will take their collaboration in next, if at all. After all, it's going to be difficult to beat ' Sydney's Bathwater Bliss ' as a legitimate product. Additionally, Sweeney has been enjoying a rather successful boost in her career over the last few years, with several major projects lined up including an adaptation of the hit video game Split Fiction and a remake of the sci-fi cult classic Barbarella . Clearly this new line of soap was just a quick detour while she prepares to move onto even bigger and better things.

Sale sparkles as Braves snap seven-game skid by beating Brewers 7-1
MILWAUKEE (AP) — Chris Sale struck out a season-high 11 while allowing just one run over seven innings as the Atlanta Braves snapped a seven-game skid by beating the Milwaukee Brewers 7-1 on Monday. Matt Olson, Ronald Acuña Jr. and Eli White homered to make sure the Braves avoided their first eight-game losing streak since 2016. Sale (4-4) allowed just five hits and two walks. The reigning NL Cy Young Award winner has given up just four runs over 33 innings in his last five starts. Atlanta led 5-1 when Sale left after walking Brice Turang to start the eighth. Raisel Iglesias took over for Sale and got three straight outs to lower his ERA to 6.48 before Dylan Lee worked the ninth. Iglesias was pitching for the first time since allowing three runs over two-thirds of an inning Thursday in an 11-10 loss to Arizona, a game in which the Braves blew a 10-4 lead in the ninth. The Braves failed to score after having two on with none out in the second and fourth innings, but they finally broke through in the fifth. Olson greeted DL Hall with a two-run, two-out homer in the fifth to put the Braves ahead for good after Acuña had tied the game by going deep off Aaron Civale (1-2) earlier in the inning. White greeted Grant Anderson with a two-run shot of his own in the eighth, and Marcell Ozuna hit a two-run single off Anderson in the ninth. Milwaukee's only run came in the third inning. Joey Ortiz hit a leadoff double and scored on William Contreras' two-out single. Key moment The Atlanta bullpen that has struggled so mightily during this slump did its job Monday. Iglesias and Lee retired six straight batters while combining for four strikeouts. Key stat Atlanta's Ozzie Albies got his 1,000th career hit when he singled to left in the eighth inning. Up next The second game of this series Tuesday is a matchup of right-handers, with Grant Holmes (3-4, 3.99 ERA) starting for Atlanta and Quinn Priester (3-2, 3.88) pitching for Milwaukee. ___
