Accompanied by deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka and senior ministers, Revanth aims to rally support across party lines to push for the bill's inclusion in the Ninth Schedule of the Constitution during the ongoing Parliament session.
The delegation plans to meet floor leaders, MPs, and presidents of all political parties, including the BJP and BRS, to present the rationale behind the quota move and the constitutional backing for it.
Though initial plans included meetings with AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, Bhatti clarified that their focus will be on engaging MPs from both Houses, regardless of party affiliation.
"We will explain the scientific and transparent manner in which the caste survey was conducted, highlight key findings of the Justice Sudarshan Reddy Committee, and seek their support for social justice," Bhatti said at a press conference at the secretariat.
When asked about possible support from the BJP and BRS, Bhatti expressed confidence. "Both parties supported the quota bill in the state legislative assembly. We believe they will extend the same support in Parliament," he said, while not ruling out a meeting with President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Sources in the CM's office indicated the delegation may stay in Delhi for two to three days to build momentum around the issue.

The move underscores the Congress govt's urgency in securing national backing for the legislation.
On the ordinance sent to the governor amending the Telangana Panchayat Raj Act, 2018, to remove the 50% reservation cap, Bhatti said approval is awaited. "Even if the quota is included in the Ninth Schedule, amending state law is essential," he stressed
Giving credit to Rahul Gandhi for initiating the caste survey, Bhatti said it forced even PM Modi to announce a nationwide caste census. He criticised BJP state president N Ramchander Rao for opposing the Ninth Schedule route, accusing him of consistently undermining BC and Dalit causes.
Bhatti further accused the BRS of misleading people on the BC quota issue, and said the Justice Sudarshan Reddy Committee report will be placed before the cabinet and the assembly before being made public.

‘Atrocious' linguistic terror unleashed by BJP: CM before ‘Bhasha Andolan'

Kolkata: Sharing a 47-second video from July 26, of a migrant from Malda narrating the injuries Delhi Police inflicted on his one-year-old child and wife, CM Mamata Banerjee on Sunday said the linguistic terror unleashed by BJP against Bengali-speakers was "atrocious" and "terrible". The CM will lead a statewide 'Bhasa Andolan' from Birbhum on Monday. Posting the video on X, Banerjee said: "Atrocious! Terrible! See how Delhi police brutally beat up a kid and his mother, members of a migrant family from Malda's Chanchal. See how even a child is not spared from the cruelty of violence in the regime of linguistic terror unleashed by BJP in the country against the Bengalis! Where are they taking our country now?" Farida Biwi, who lives in Delhi's Geeta Colony, told TOI over the phone that the video was of her son's wife and child. "They were detained by Delhi Police despite showing EPIC, Aadhaar and ration cards. We have been working in Delhi for the past six years. We are Indian, not Bangladeshi. They are deliberately targeting Bengali-speaking Muslims." Ahead of the protests, Trinamool spokesperson Kunal Ghosh told reporters: "The videos reaching our party leaders (from migrants facing harassment) are nothing short of medieval brutality. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like This Simple Online Trick Makes Me $100 Every Day Try Now Undo This is hellish torture. In one video that has reached me, the person narrating his ordeal says he has been working in Haryana for the past two decades. People are being subjected to torture, denying them the right to show their valid documents and illegally packed off to detention centres without notices. " Ghosh said: "What is worrisome is that even Matuas and Rajbanshis are being targeted by BJP-governed states. BJP has unleashed an atmosphere of terror. How can speaking Bengali — a constitutionally scheduled language — be a crime?" Responding to BJP's claims that the drive was meant to flush out illegal Bangladeshis and Rohingya, Ghosh said: "Rohingya have a different geo-political context. It involves Myanmar, Delhi (Centre) and the United Nations. And if you talk of illegal Bangladeshis, whose task is to stop them? The answer is BSF. For either, why are Bengali-speaking Indian citizens being harassed even when they are showing legally accepted documents. " State finance minister Chandrima Bhattacharya also launched a blistering attack on the Centre, accusing it of carrying out a "systematic and shameless assault" on Bengali identity across the country. "BJP-run states have turned the harassment of Bengalis into a strategy. But Bengal—and the global Bengali diaspora—will resist this with dignity and strength," she said. "The Centre will be held accountable at the right time. Bengal has never insulted people from neighbouring states like Assam, Odisha, Bihar or Jharkhand. Yet, across the country, Bengalis are being humiliated, attacked and even killed—simply because they speak Bengali. Bengal knows how to respond," Bhattacharya added.

Sikh girl not allowed to take exam for wearing ‘kada', Badal writes to PM

Chandigarh: Expressing grave concern over "growing incidents of disrespect and discrimination against the sacred symbols of the Sikh religion", Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president on Sunday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to "intervene directly to put an end to this painful chain of events in the country". Tired of too many ads? go ad free now In a letter to the Prime Minister, Badal sought to draw the PM's attention to an incident on Sunday in which a baptised Sikh girl, from Tarn Taran district, was reportedly stopped from entering the examination centre as a candidate for the Rajasthan Judicial Services at Poornima University, Jaipur, on the plea that she was wearing her sacred articles of faith – 'kada' and 'kirpan'. "This was a gross violation of her constitutional rights guaranteed under Article 25 of the Statute, and it denied her fundamental right to practise her religion. Article 25 of the Constitution specifically mentions 'kirpan' among other symbols of the Sikh religion, which are exempt from any bar even on flights," Badal said. He added in the letter to the PM, "It is shocking that rules, if any, are framed by lower authorities flouting the sacred Constitution of India. The govt of India should issue -- or, if necessary -- re-issue clear-cut guidelines to all states and Union Territories about the exemption to the inseparable articles of faith." Badal stated that it was "not a one-off incident but part of the ever-increasing number of examples of religious intolerance towards the uniqueness of Sikh identity. In a similar incident last year, two Sikh girls were stopped from appearing for Rajasthan Judicial Services (RJS) in an exam centre in Jodhpur." "Sikhs and their identity are inseparable, and this was duly acknowledged and constitutionally mandated for compliance for all purposes in the country by the Founding Fathers. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now But some officials at lower rungs deem themselves even above the Constitution. This must stop as this vitiates communal harmony in the country," Badal wrote in the letter to the PM. "You are personally aware of the profound spiritual and emotional significance of the Sikh religious symbols and what these mean to our devoutly religious and fiercely patriotic community. I request you to issue immediate directions for compliance to ensure full respect to these symbols at all levels across the country," the letter read. Badal also urged the Rajasthan high court to provide the victimised Sikh girl, Gurpreet Kaur, a special opportunity to appear for the RJS examination, ensuring her right to uphold her faith is respected. Earlier in the morning, the SAD president had taken to X, asking Rajasthan chief minister Bhajan Lal to take strict action against the guilty officials to ensure such incidents were not repeated in his state. Will Raise Issue in Parliament: Harsimrat Kaur Badal SAD MP from Bathinda, Harsimrat Kaur Badal, while condemning the incident as "unfortunate and discriminatory" and demanding strict action against officials who "barred" the girl from appearing in the examination, took to X and wrote, "I will definitely raise this issue in Parliament so that such incidents do not happen with our Sikh children in the future and a permanent solution is found."
