Project Runway is officially back for its 21st season. This year, ELLE editor-in-chief Nina Garcia unites with image architect Law Roach on the judging panel, Heidi Klum returns to host, and Christian Siriano mentors the hopeful designers. Together, they're overseeing a new class of ambitious contestants who are ready to deliver bold designs, high-stakes drama, and unforgettable runway moments.
Season 21 promises to deliver the excitement and high-fashion storytelling that has defined Project Runway for two decades, with a cast that includes returning alums, a transgender designer, and even a pair of twin brothers. As Klum told People, 'It feels so good to be back—it feels like I never left.'
Garcia, who has judged all 21 seasons, reflected on how the series has always mirrored the fashion world's evolution: 'I find it so interesting that the show, much like fashion, is really a reflection of our culture. It's an artistic reflection of what is happening in society—and the show has never shied away from that,' she told Entertainment Weekly. She added that she is 'so proud to be part of it,' recalling moments that sparked conversations beyond the runway, from Mondo Guerra openly discussing his HIV-positive diagnosis in season 8 to the show's embracing of size diversity and trans models in later years. Roach echoed that Project Runway 'has always been on the cusp of cultural change.'
Siriano, a former winner himself, praised the designers' ambition this season while speaking to Parade: 'We have some kind of young Gen Z [designers] who are kind of up on what's happening right now. And then we have some older designers. We really have such a good mix of people that, I think, is why it makes it really good. And I think that that, for me, is what I like to see.'
'We have a trans designer on the show, and she is incredible,' Siriano continued. 'And I think her story is incredible, and she's really, really, really talented. And I'm glad that she gets to share her voice and her world, because fashion was her only outlet that she had. So I think there's some great things that this show does that others [don't].'
With Klum's homecoming, Roach's unfiltered opinions, and Garcia's impeccable eye, season 21 feels like a celebration of both fashion and the show's legacy. As Garcia put it in a behind-the-scenes Instagram post in March: 'We are soooo back.'
The season will feature 10 episodes, beginning with a two-part premiere.

Love Island: Who is the TOWIE cast member Ben and Tommy both ‘kissed' at same event?

Love Island's Tommy Bradley and Ben Holbrough have confessed to kissing the same girl at the same event, so who is the mystery woman? While appearing on tonight's grand Love Island finale, the pair were interviewed about their relationships with the women they left the show with. Tommy confessed he and Lucy were no longer together, after he had kissed a woman at an event he went to. He explained: "I went to my first event, free bar, unlimited drinks. Half an hour, five blue lagoon cocktails. This girl came up to me." Host Maya Jama then asked if he and Lucy were exclusive at this point to which he said no they weren't before adding: "I went to an event and kissed someone." Tommy then clarified that it was "disrespectful" to Lucy and the pair are now just friends. Before his interview ended Tommy added that he "didn't remember" the kiss. Ben was then asked about his relationship status with Andrada, whom he left the Villa with. To this Ben began speaking and said: "I was at the same event [as Tommy]." Andrada then added: "with the same girl." The crowd reacted in shock with Ben and Tommy looking embarassed. So who is the mystery woman the pair both kissed at the same event? Here's what you need to know about her. Earlier this week it was revealed Ben and Andrada had split after pictures emerged of Ben holding hands with TOWIE star Dani Imbert at the event Ben had attended with Tommy. The pair were said to be very intimate during the evening, with a source telling The Sun: "There was instant attraction from the moment they met - they spent two hours kissing at the party it was all very intimate. It's clearly very much over with Andrada as Dani seemed to be the only thing on his mind." Given Ben's closeness to Dani, it's likely she is the same woman Tommy kissed at the event. Dani, 27, is best known for appearing on ITV's reality series TOWIE, having joined the show in 2021. She has over 125,000 followers on Instagram. Love Island is available for catchup on ITVX now

Jessie J Battling Infection and Chest Pains Following Breast Cancer Surgery

Six weeks after undergoing a mastectomy following her breast cancer diagnosis, Jessie J was admitted to the hospital once again to address her ongoing complications. The musician shared in a recent Instagram Story post that she discharged herself ('I hate being in the hospital') after being assured that the symptoms she has been experiencing are not related to a blood clot in her lungs. '6 weeks post surgery and I was back in the same ward I was after my surgery,' Jessie wrote on Saturday, Aug. 2. 'Not expected or planned. I had and still have symptoms that pointed towards a blood clot on the lung. IT IS NOT A BLOOD CLOT THANK GOD.' The singer's testing revealed an infection and fluid in her lungs, but has not been explicitly detailed. 'Finding it hard to breathe in, but I discharged myself last night and will continue the investigation as an outpatient,' she said. 'My symptoms are the same and no idea what's wrong yet. But my sarcasm and sense of humour are holding on.' Jessie shared that 'people think that I'm like hanging on by a thread,' but noted, 'in some moments [it] has felt that way.' Detailing her symptoms, she recalled, 'Two or three days ago, when I woke up, and I couldn't breathe. I still have pain in my chest when I breathe, but it's not as bad.' In July, Jessie revealed that her mastectomy was successful and the cancer did not spread. 'Happy tears are real. Thank YOU for the prayers, the love, the well wishes, the joy, and all the positive energy,' she said at the time. 'Lots of healing to go and one more surgery to make these cousins look more like sisters. But for now, it's gratitude time, and I am changing my name to The LopJess monster.' Who Is Luiza Rozova? Putin's Alleged Love Child Breaks Silence

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Elizaveta Krivonogikh, also known as Luiza Rozova, has gone public with sharp criticism of Russian President Vladimir Putin—her alleged father—more than a year after vanishing from social media. Now living in Paris under a new name, she's distancing herself from the Kremlin and the luxury lifestyle she once displayed online. In a series of Telegram posts obtained by the German newspaper Bild, Krivonogikh wrote about a man "who took millions of lives and destroyed mine." The 22-year-old did not name Putin directly, but the reference was widely interpreted as her first public break with the Russian leader. "It's liberating to be able to show my face to the world again," she added. "It reminds me of who I am and who destroyed my life." A New Life in Paris Born in St. Petersburg in 2003, Krivonogikh has been long rumored to be the daughter of Putin and former cleaner Svetlana Krivonogikh. After Luiza's birth, her mother's financial fortunes rose sharply. While there has never been official confirmation of Putin's paternity, Krivonogikh's patronymic—Vladimirovna—and past investigative reports have fueled speculation for years. On right, Elizaveta Krivonogikh. More Getty Images / Telegram She once posted regularly on Instagram, sharing photos of private jets, elite nightclubs and designer fashion. But her account disappeared around the time Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022. Now, according to multiple reports, she goes by Elizaveta Rudnova and works at two Paris art galleries—L Galerie in Belleville and Espace Albatros in Montreuil—both known for hosting anti-war exhibitions. She graduated from the ICART School of Cultural and Art Management in 2024 and helps organize shows and produce video content. Caught Between Politics Krivonogikh's new life has not been without controversy. Russian artist Nastya Rodionova, who fled Russia after the invasion of Ukraine, ended her collaboration with both galleries after learning of Krivonogikh's involvement. "It is inadmissible to allow a person who comes from a family of beneficiaries of the regime to come into confrontation with the victims of that regime," Rodionova said in a public statement. Krivonogikh defended herself, asking, "Am I really responsible for the activities of my family, who can't even hear me?" Some in the Paris art community have supported her. Dmitry Dolinsky, who runs the association that oversees both galleries, told Bild: "She looks like Putin, but so do 100,000 other people. I haven't seen a DNA test." Others described her as cultured and committed to her work. Her mother was sanctioned by the United Kingdom in 2023 over her ties to Putin's inner circle. Krivonogikh has since traded designer labels for activism, signaling a full break from the image she once embraced. "My life is ruined," she wrote recently, referencing the man she holds responsible for both personal and national destruction. She now appears focused on rebuilding her identity—and making it clear that she wants no part of the legacy she inherited.
