What Happened Today On Young and the Restless May 28? Traci & Diane Bonded

Yahoo29-05-2025
The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, May 28 saw Traci coming home, Claire party planning, and Victor making a scene.
The Abbott mansion had a warm glow today, literally and emotionally, as Traci (Beth Maitland) returned home to a refresh that wasn't just cosmetic. Diane (Susan Walters) was proud to show off the updates and hoped they would impress her sister-in-law. Traci, still fragile after her devastating fallout with Martin (Christopher Cousins), found the new atmosphere comforting.
She could feel the heart of the home beating stronger than ever. While she praised Diane's efforts, Traci couldn't help but open up about her lingering heartbreak. Diane gently reminded her that needing love doesn't make her weak. The conversation was heartfelt, with Traci admitting she still missed the way 'Alan' once made her feel. But now, she was focused on writing through her pain (literally) by turning the chaos into a novel.

Jack and Diane finished welcoming Traci with open arms. Harrison (Redding Munsell) made an adorable appearance, and Traci quietly disappeared upstairs to settle in.
Over at the Jazz Lounge, Claire (Hayley Erin) was on a mission to throw Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) a birthday party fit for a queen. Something classy, intimate, and unforgettable. With Pietro's (Jai Rodriguez) help and Kyle's (Michael Mealor) support, Claire was determined to make a statement, not just to Nikki but also to Victor (Eric Braeden). She hoped the night would show her grandfather that Kyle was the right man for her. Kyle tried to stay optimistic, though he knew winning Victor over was no easy feat. Still, Claire was all in, even helping Harrison pick out the perfect gift for his honorary grandmother.
Meanwhile, Newman Enterprises was brimming with tension. Nikki confided in Victoria (Amelia Heinle), worried that Victor might ban Michael (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren (Tracey Bregman) from attending her party. With Michael's abrupt resignation and Victor's finger-pointing at the Abbotts, the atmosphere was thick with suspicion. And, she was right to worry. Later, Jack confronted Victor at the GCAC, the temperature rose further. Victor brushed off the confrontation, but Nick picked up on his father's growing paranoia. Dumas's name continued to circulate, and it seemed Nikki might be at the center of a brewing storm.
Afterwards at the club, Victor pivoted from rage to romance by surprising Nikki with a refurbished music box that played one of her early compositions. It was sweet—until their conversation swung back to Dumas, Kyle, and Claire. Victoria pushed back hard against her father's interference, warning him not to sabotage Claire's happiness. Victor, unbothered, clung to his conviction that Kyle would only break Claire's heart.
Back at the Abbott mansion, Jack and Diane welcomed Traci with open arms. Harrison made an adorable appearance, and Traci quietly disappeared upstairs to settle in—perhaps finally on her path to healing. One thing's certain: between broken hearts, big birthdays, and budding tensions, Genoa City is on the edge of a storm.

Tamar Braxton says she ‘almost died' in bloody accident that left her with a fractured nose

Tamar Braxton asked her social media fans to 'pray for me for real' as she recovers from a mysterious and bloody weekend accident. The singer and reality TV star opened up about her latest health scare in an Instagram story shared Tuesday, writing, 'I almost died Sunday.' 'I was found in a pool of blood [by] my friend with a face injury. As the days go by the worse it is,' she wrote. 'I fractured my nose, lost some teeth and mobility.' Braxton did not share additional information about the weekend incident, but said it prompted her to adopt a 'totally different' perspective on life. As she takes time to heal, Braxton also wrote 'my mental health journey begins.' The 48-year-old entertainer concluded her Instagram announcement: 'I don't even know what happened to me.' A manager for Braxton, who began her career in R&B alongside four of her sisters including oldest sister Toni Braxton, addressed the 'Braxton Family Value' star's concerning post in their own Instagram story shared Tuesday. Manager Phil Thornton thanked followers for their outpouring of concern and support for Braxton. 'She is resting and recovering. Thanks for your prayers and well wishes,' he wrote. Thornton did not immediately respond to The Times' request for additional information. Braxton has long been open about her health. Over the years, she has spoken publicly about her vitiligo, her experience with pulmonary embolism (which prompted her to drop out of 'Dancing With the Stars' in 2015) and her struggles with depression and anxiety. In 2020, Braxton spoke also about how the allegedly toxic culture of reality TV pushed her to attempt suicide. Earlier this year, Braxton embarked on a solo singing tour, which launched in April in Washington, D.C., and ended in May in Oakland. Braxton was also known for her time on 'Tamar & Vince' with her ex-husband Vince Herbert, 'Celebrity Big Brother' and the syndicated talk show 'The Real.'

Justin Bieber Misses No. 1 As The Same Smash Blocks Him From Ruling

When Justin Bieber surprise-released his new album Swag, the focus track 'Daisies' immediately became a big hit. That single remains one of the pop superstar's most successful tunes in years, but it's not the only big win from the Grammy winner's latest project. 'Yukon' has been picking up steam for several weeks, and especially in the R&B space, the Swag tune has become a proper smash. 'Yukon' climbs on almost every Billboard chart on which it appears, and as it becomes another leader for Bieber on a handful of tallies, it just barely misses out on reaching the throne on a few other lists — but it could conquer them very soon. Justin Bieber Loses Out to Chris Brown Bieber lands at No. 2 on both the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales and R&B Digital Song Sales charts this week. On the busier list, which includes R&B, hip-hop, and rap, 'Yukon' advances from No. 4 to No. 2, while on the R&B Digital Song Sales tally, the cut only needs to step up a single spot. In both instances, Bieber is held back by 'It Depends,' a collaboration between Chris Brown and Bryson Tiller, which keeps at No. 1. Justin Bieber's Two Sales No. 1s 'Yukon' almost gives Bieber his third No. 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart, but for the moment, it's tied as one of his many No. 2s. Previously, he's run the show with his own 'Yummy,' which commanded the lead for just one frame, as well as with 'I'm the One' alongside DJ Khaled, Quavo, Chance the Rapper, and Lil Wayne. That smash spent nine weeks at No. 1. Much More Successful on the R&B Digital Song Sales Chart Bieber is far more successful on the R&B Digital Song Sales chart, which is specific to just that one genre. On that tally, he's already reached No. 1 nine times, and 'Yukon' could very well become his milestone tenth champion. In addition to 'Yummy,' Bieber has also led the charge on the R&B Digital Song Sales list with 'Essence' alongside Wizkid and Tems, 'Peaches' with Daniel Caesar and Giveon, 'No Brainer' (another collaboration with DJ Khaled and Chance the Rapper, as well as Quavo), 'Intentions' with Quavo, 'Confident' with Chance the Rapper, 'PYD' with R. Kelly, and both 'Bad Day' and 'Recovery,' solo tracks that hit No. 1 more than a decade ago. Justin Bieber's 'Yukon' Rises to No. 1 While 'Yukon' might not be the bestselling track in the R&B space, it is the biggest streaming success. Bieber's new single leads both the R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs and R&B Streaming Songs charts, advancing from No. 2 to give him another winner.

Homeowner frustrated after neighbor's nightmare takes over yard: 'I have declared war'

An Oregon homeowner recently took to Reddit to vent about an unwelcome plant in their yard. Their former neighbor planted an invasive variety of a blackberry bush that jumped the property line. What started as stray vines has now turned into quite the invasion in their yard. "I have declared war on my blackberries," they detailed in the post. "For 5 years I've been keeping them at bay on one side of the yard but I started to notice them popping up in the middle of the yard." Referring to one form of creative weed control, a commenter quipped, "Bring out the goats!" The OP wondered if anyone else in the r/oregon subreddit was also "fighting the good fight" against invasive plants. Judging by the responses, dealing with invasive blackberries was quite common. "I replanted 5 acres with native flowers and the blackberries decided they were more important," one commenter said. "I tried digging, cutting, mowing, goats and just about anything else." That Redditor ultimately resorted to spraying a small amount of pesticides to kill off the blackberries. The Himalayan variety of blackberries that the OP was dealing with is infamous for its ability to spread aggressively. Its plants grow wild or send underground runners far beyond an original planting site. Once established, their dense vines can block sunlight, monopolize water and nutrients, and leave little room for anything else to grow — especially native plants. What's the hardest thing about taking care of your yard? Mowing the lawn Controlling weeds Keeping pests at bay I don't have a yard Click your choice to see results and speak your mind. The problem extends beyond a single backyard. These plants can spread into surrounding neighbors' yards and wildlife habitats, leading to displaced native vegetation, altered soil composition, and decreased biodiversity. Wildlife that depends on native plants for food and shelter often suffers when aggressive species take over, creating a terrible domino effect through the ecosystem. It's a common headache for people trying to keep their yards eco-friendly; neighbors' choices can sometimes undo all that hard work. Invasive blackberries don't care about fences — they'll climb, creep, and take over anything in their path. The only way to stop them is for neighbors to work together. Start by having a friendly conversation, sharing information about the environmental harm invasive plants cause. In some regions, property owners are required to control any invasive plants in their yards, so bring in your local law enforcement or government when necessary. When cooperation isn't possible, planting dense native hedges or installing physical barriers can help slow the spread. If you're not careful, your neighbor's plants might become your jungle.
