Pete Wicks and Louise Thompson savagely mock Zara McDermott as they support Sam
Sam Thompson's best friend Pete Wicks and sister Louise Thompson have mocked his ex-girlfriend Zara McDermott six months on from their shock split as he takes on a gruelling Unicef challenge
Pete Wicks has taken a huge swipe at Sam Thompson 's ex-girlfriend Zara McDermott during the Made In Chelsea star's 260-mile endurance challenge on both bike and foot in aid of Unicef.
Holding a sign that read 'You caaaaaan' - a cheeky nod to Zara's emotional plea to Sam after her cheating confession - the TOWIE star shouted the words with a cigarette in his mouth. Posting the moment on Instagram, Pete wrote: 'Pete pulled through with the best motivation. Sam was a big fan. Drop in the comments which sign is your favourite?'
Sam, 33, mid-run and visibly limping from a calf injury, broke down in tears when he spotted Pete waiting for him. In the emotional clip shared on their Staying Relevant page, the pair embraced, with Pete reassuring him: 'You all right? Come here. It's alright.' Sam, surprised, replied: 'I didn't know you were coming.'
'Of course I'm coming. Do you think I'd miss this?' Pete said. 'I'm so proud of you. You're smashing it.' Sam then admitted through tears: 'I don't think I'm smashing it."
Pete didn't hesitate in his response as he encouraged: 'You are smashing it. Are you still going? There you go. You're smashing it... You're the guy before you started, you're the guy now and you're going to be the guy when you finish. You got this.'
Sam's big sister Louise also took a swipe at Zara after Pete's hilarious quip. On TikTok and Instagram, Louise, 35, used the iconic sound 'You can' from Zara's emotional breakdown on Made In Chelsea. The move didn't go unnoticed by fans who were left in hysterics.
"Ohhhhh Zara is not going to be pleased about this one guys," one fan quipped. Another echoed: "SHADE of the highest degree. I couldn't love this anymore." Someone else joked: "I have a feeling Zara is gonna be livid about this. What GREAT use of this iconic sound."
Sam began the gruelling challenge on June 2, aiming to run a marathon a day - with some cycling due to injury - until he reaches Old Trafford for Soccer Aid on June 15, raising funds for children's welfare through UNICEF.
The former TOWIE and Made In Chelsea stars have forged a solid bond over the past six years. Speaking to The Mirror recently about his strong friendship with Sam, Pete said his best friend truly came out of his shell and realised his worth when he and Zara, 28, split in December.
Zara, who is now smitten with One Direction star Louis Tomlinson, is said to have ended her five-year relationship with Sam before Christmas. "Sam had a 'different' start to the year," Pete said of Sam's split with Zara. "Part of being someone's friend is being there no matter what – to say, 'things are always going to get better,' and they have."
Pete then confessed that Sam is more self confident and self-assured than ever after the break-up. "He's great. Sometimes it's about allowing people to work on themselves, realise their worth. I hope I've helped him do that, because he's amazing, and he deserves the best," his best friend gushed.
"Sam's my little finger! He's unapologetically himself. People think the dynamic stops once the cameras are off but no, he still rings me 15 times a day to chat. It's nice to share this mad journey with someone I love. He'll have a heart attack when he finds out I've said that."

Sue Cleaver reflects on '25 years of laughs' after Coronation Street exit
Eileen Grimshaw had a special send-off during Friday's episode of the soap, where she was seen leaving for Thailand alongside her son Jason Grimshaw, played by Ryan Thomas. Simon Gregson's character Steve McDonald, Tony Maudsley's George Shuttleworth, and Eileen's son Todd, played by Gareth Pierce, all said goodbye to the matriarch before drivers from the local taxi firm honked their horns as she was driven off. In an Instagram post, Cleaver said: 'Well… that's a wrap. 25 years of laughs, tears, costumes, chaos — and one unforgettable journey. A post shared by Sue Cleaver (@officialsuecleaver) 'I'll miss this character like crazy, but what a ride it's been. Thank you for every moment.' Cleaver has played the outspoken and uncomplicated Eileen in the ITV show since 2000. Eileen came to Weatherfield to work at the local taxi firm, Streetcars, to provide for her two tearaway teenage children, Jason and Todd. She soon became friends with her boss Steve and came into conflict with Helen Worth's character Gail Rodwell (also known as Gail Platt). Cleaver took part in I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2022, where she opened up about reconciling with her birth mother, and was eliminated third. She also said her family is 'bizarrely interconnected' to other Coronation Street stars, including Worth who is godmother to one of her half-sisters, while her other half-sister's husband, John Bowe, appeared on the cobbles as Duggie Ferguson. In 2024, she released a book A Work In Progress in which she discusses how she feels she is not past her prime. In recent years she has appeared as a panellist on ITV chat show Loose Women.

Meghan Markle shares video of her, Prince Harry and their kids at Disneyland
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, continues to share sweet snippets of her family life with husband Prince Harry and their two kids, Archie and Lilibet. In her latest Instagram post, the former Meghan Markle shared a video collage filled with photos of their trip to Disneyland for their daughter's fourth birthday. 'Thank you @disneyland for giving our family two days of pure joy!' Meghan captioned her post Friday. The video, set to Peggy Lee's 'It's a Good Day,' shows Lilbet and Archie meeting Elsa and Anna from 'Frozen.' In all the pictures she included of their little ones, their faces are obscured or covered with a heart. The recap of their trip to the Happiest Place on Earth also includes the family on rides like Tiana's Bayou Adventure, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, the Cars Land ride and many more. There's also a silly photo of Meghan and Harry screaming while on Space Mountain. The two are sitting front row with their mouths wide open — yet appearing like they're having fun. And the festivities continued for the family of four. Meghan also shows Lilibet's 'Little Mermaid' birthday cake, their Mickey and Minnie stuffed dolls, the corn dogs and pickles they munched on during their trip and several other family photos from the park. Among the cutest is one of all four posing together, in which Lilibet is barefoot and in a pink dress with bows. The latest look into Meghan's personal home life comes after she celebrated her daughter's birthday on June 4. The former 'Suits' star shared a number of photos of her little girl from when she was born to their most recent adventures together. There were also snaps of Harry and his 'favorite adventurer' holding hands. 'Happy birthday to our beautiful girl! Four years ago today she came into our lives — and each day is brighter and better because of it. Thanks to all of those sending love and celebrating her special day!' Meghan wrote in her first post. Additionally, she also posted a never-before-seen video of when she was pregnant with Lilibet and dancing with Harry at the hospital in hopes to induce labor. 'Four years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn't work — there was only one thing left to do!' she captioned the fun and rare video of them. Meghan returned to Instagram on Jan. 1 after leaving the platform in early 2018 during her highly publicized engagement to Harry. Among her posts include family photos, outings and news about her podcast, Netflix projects and more.
