Love Island star goes public with his EastEnders actress girlfriend
A former Love Island star has made their new relationship with an EastEnders actress public as they confirm their pairing. Michael Griffiths, 33, and Rukku Nahar, 29, finally made it Instagram official this week after months of speculation.
The duo were spotted on the red carpet together last year but their latest outing has confirmed their status as a couple. Taking to his Instagram Stories, Michael reshared a post where he is giving the actress a peck on the cheek as she smiles.
The image is paired with Tems' tune, Love Me JeJe. It came as the pair enjoyed the boxing on Saturday night as Oleksandr Usyk brutally dispatched of Daniel Dubois to remain undisputed heavyweight champion.
Michael shared a number of images on his grid of the pair enjoying the occasion at Wembley Stadium. In the first, the former Islander is seen grabbing his partner as she beams.
He also uploaded a shot of the pair of them taking their own selfies of each other in their cute coupling. And the final image in his reel showed the duo posing for a picture together as they wrapped their arms around each other's waists.
Michael captioned the post: "Her first official fight night. And what a night it was, here's to many more adventures."
The followers were quick to react to the official relationship announcement. Among them was former Love Island pal Liam Reardon, who simply put two flame emojis. Fellow islander Josh Denzel also replied with only emojis, typing to clapping hand emojis.
And MAFS star Laura Jay Vaughan also said: "I love you both so much." She added a love heart emoji and a character with love hearts for eyes.
The duo first appeared to be a couple at last year's UK premiere for The Venom: The Last Dance. At the time, they looked happy together and posed for shots as a pair, but stopped short of confirming their relationship status.
At the time, neither Rukku nor Michael had admitted to dating, and they hadn't featured on each other's social media accounts either. However, Michael was spotted leaving flirtatious comments under some of Rukku's Instagram posts in the build-up.
While Michael made a name for himself on series five of the ITV2 dating show, Rukku is best known for playing the role of Habiba Ahmed in Walford. Michael was locked in TV drama in his series as he was involved in one of the show's most unforgettable love triangles.
At the time he abruptly dumped Amber Gill for Joanna Chimonides. His relationship with Joanna only lasted a few months post-villa before ultimately ending.

I quit watching EastEnders but Zoe Slater's return will bring me back
When I rage-quit watching EastEnders in 2017, I really couldn't imagine a world where I'd be lured back. And then came the news two months ago that Michelle Ryan is returning as Zoe Slater. Lo and behold, it has me ready to recommit to the legendary British soap. EastEnders always felt like the pedigree of soaps. At its best, the acting and writing were unrivalled, and it had the ability to capture the entire nation. I'll never forget the excitement around 'Who Shot Phil?' I was knee-deep in EastEnders by then, but even people who didn't watch the show remember the moment when almost 20 million viewers discovered the culprit was Lisa. The only other event that could unite the nation like that was a World Cup final and we hadn't seen one of those in more than 30 years. Natalie Cassidy, Steve McFadden, Pam St. Clement, Lucy Benjamin, and Barbara Windsor were just some of the top-tier actors around this time, and they truly were some of the best of British TV. And then came a new family: The Slaters. Right at the height of the demonisation of 'chavs' and the end of the Spice Girls era, a new clan arrived in Albert Square and redefined 'girl power'. Kat, Lynne, Little Mo, and — who we believed at the time was their youngest sister — Zoe, were a tour de force unlike anything seen on any soap before. Joined by Charlie and nan 'Big' Mo, they took absolutely no prisoners, instantly became central to all the drama, and I can't think of another family in any soap since that captivated audiences so immediately. I didn't just care about the Slaters from the get-go, I loved them. Especially Zoe and Kat. Almost a year after the Slater family's arrival, Kat and Zoe were at the centre of what was easily the biggest rug-pull I'd ever seen on EastEnders by that point – the moment Zoe screeched, 'You ain't my muvva!' only for Kat to howl back, 'Yes I am!' I can't think of a scene with such extraordinary levels of absolutely sensational high camp. They don't get the credit they deserve, but there are few performances as remarkable as Jessie Wallace and Michelle Ryan's as Kat and Zoe. Their chemistry was dynamite, their shared history was painful, and the betrayal of that shock felt so real and so rich. This is especially impressive considering that, relative to other characters on EastEnders, we'd only just really got to know them. They were all survivors in their own right, and as a young gay kid, nothing got me more excited than the power of a strong woman. Zoe, especially. She was young, fun, and making mistakes I couldn't wait to make myself, with my teenage years just around the corner. Ryan was also an incredible talent — which is why Hollywood soon beckoned and she was cast as the lead in a reboot of Bionic Woman, leaving the Square in 2005. I was devastated but still I persisted. Stacey Slater has recently arrived and like every Slater before her came into her own almost immediately. Lacey Turner, for me, is the greatest EastEnders actor there's ever been and has been tried, tested and pushed to her limit more than any other. From her affair with Max to watching Bradley fall from the Queen Vic and caring for her mum Jean who was defined by he bipolar diagnosis for years, Stacey was a true Walford heroine who filled the void. But my interest waned and one storyline, in particular, devastated me. The moment I knew I was done with the show came on New Year's Day 2017. It was the day Ronnie and Roxy Mitchell were killed off — mercilessly bumped off in the two most inexplicable deaths I'd ever seen on EastEnders. They died in a hotel swimming pool. Roxy was apparently so drunk she was incapable of swimming, and Ronnie's dress was seemingly the weight of a sinking ship, so she drowned with her. As I write this now, I'm still so unreasonably angry about it. That episode tipped me over the edge. In what felt like the blink of an eye, what was once my favourite 30 minutes of the day became something I began to dread. So I stopped watching. But then I got the news that Michelle Ryan would be coming back, and suddenly I felt able to forgive and forget – put the last eight years behind me. Everything about her return has been EastEnders gold. From Kat snapping at her son Tommy 'I'm your muvva' moments before the big reveal of Zoe, to the sheer shock of it. Zoe's gone off the rails, Stacey's kept her in hiding and dragged Alfie into another mess he can't afford. Zoe's talent is causing trouble; during her brief return earlier this summer she caused plenty of it. Lying, drinking and trying to fleece her own family, Ryan slipped back into Zoe's demons like she's barely been away. The second episode with Zoe hiding in the bedroom with her mum just feet away was agonising, perfectly setting up the incoming reunion and moment we've waited 20 years for. Zoe's got a secret, revealing she's done something 'so bad' her family will never forgive her. The possibilities are endless but it's going to be colossal. I can feel it. More Trending Just a few weeks ago, I couldn't have imagined watching EastEnders again. Now, I can't imagine missing a single second of Wallace and Ryan together on screen. This is the most exciting — and unlikely — reunion since Take That, and I am not going to miss a moment of it. It's been a long time since I truly invested in EastEnders. Thankfully, I still recognise most of the main cast, even if I have no idea what they've been up to for the best part of a decade. View More » Like Zoe, I've got a lot of catching up to do. But with the promise that Michelle Ryan is back for the foreseeable future, I'm ready to dive straight back in with full commitment. Do you have a story you'd like to share? Helen Flanagan's solo holiday with daughter who she 'can't give the energy' to
Helen Flanagan has headed off on holiday with her daughter Matilda, just weeks after admitting she can't give her the 'energy' that she wishes she could share with her Helen Flanagan has jetted abroad with her daughter, just weeks after explaining she can't give Matilda the "energy" she deserves. Just last month, the former Coronation Street actress explained she was always "preoccupied" with her son, Charlie, and believed that Matilda, nine, had been left out. But now, the 35-year-old has made time to spend with her daughter, with the pair jetting off to Italy to spend some quality time with one another. Helen, who found fame playing Rosie Webster on the ITV soap opera, took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday to share a snap of the pair sitting in the airport, while she sipped on an orange juice, as her daughter enjoyed a hot chocolate. A later snap saw young Matilda kicking back on board an aeroplane as she flashed a peace sign, with Helen captioning her upload: "My love and happiness." It comes after pictures emerged of inside Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash's luxurious £30k family holiday at 'second home'. The former soap star explained how Matilda had "always been" her "best friend" due to her being the oldest child, at the age of nine. The trip comes as Helen is celebrating her 35th birthday, with the mother and daughter "dancing" into her big day throughout the night. As she made the most of their downtime, Helen told fans that it had "always" been her and Matilda as they soaked up the Italian sun and culture during their excursions. But while the trip is for Helen and her daughter, she did make sure to check in with her two younger children, Delilah, six, and son Charlie, four, as she shared screenshots from their FaceTime call. It comes after Helen took to social media to reflect on her motherhood journey, admitting she has found it "hard" recently. She said: "I've felt overwhelmed and stressed the majority of the time, and I want to get back to when im present and I'm really in it and I'm really enjoying it. I always wanted to be a mum. [sic] "I get mum guilt with Matilda as I feel like I'm always preoccupied with her brother, I can't give her the energy that I want to give her, and I feel like she always sees me at my worst. I also feel like she needs calm, which I can never be. Delilah, I feel like I'm getting it right with her, and I feel like our bond is tight, so that's something not to beat myself up about." Helen continued: "Charlie I could pull my hair out sometimes, I feel like I've got the male version of me. Co-parenting is hard and not being a team together, and not being able to talk about your anxieties and worries for the kids. "I suppose you can only do your best and be kind to yourself, but I wanted these on my grid for me as they make my soul happy." Despite Helen's concerns, fans were quick to compliment the star. "Juggling 3 kids is a super power I'm sure. U got this strong momma," said one. A second continued: "It's not easy with three! But you seem like you're doing an amazing job." This Morning's Ashley James responded: "Helen. You are the BEST mum. Kids are so lucky to have you. Usually when I feel short and snappy, I know it's time for a childfree break, even just a day to lie in and recharge and not talk to anyone! If that's possible at the moment."
