Blackpink's Jennie Releases Music Video for "Handlebars" Ft. Dua Lipa
The visual for the mid-tempo tune was directed by BRTHR (Charli XCX, the Weeknd) and arrived on Monday.
The clip opens with the K-pop superstar using a two-wheeled metaphor to lament her proclivity for falling too far, too fast.
Jennie spends most of the video laying on her back on an electrified, heart-shaped spider's web when she's not taking selfie videos while rolling around on a spinning, round bed.
A glowing Dua transports in from another dimension a minute in and for the rest of the visual the pair croon back-to-back and lounge side-by-side in the giant spider web in a futuristic landscape filled with piles oHandlebarsHandlebarsf glitchy monitors and colorful flashing lights.
'Handlebars' appears on Jennie's just-released 15-track debut solo LP, "Ruby", which also features collaborations with Childish Gambino, Dominic Fike, Doechii, FKJ, and Kali Uchis.

Styled Archives: When MENA Celebrities Embraced the Low-Waist Craze
From Elissa in Dubai to Ruby in Muscat, the 2000s had MENA stars living in low-rise jeans. Sequins, belts, and bold prints turned every concert, set and screening into a style snapshot of the era. Aug 21, 2025 The early 2000s gave us flip phones, frosted makeup and a denim trend that sat somewhere south of your belly button: the low-rise. Elissa worked hers with animal print in Dubai, Nancy Ajram with sequins on a Syrian stage, and Haifa Wehbe with boots and blue shimmer in Cairo. In film and TV, Ghada Adel, Ola Ghanem and Nelly Karim slipped it into everyday looks, while Ruby took it global in a green halter at Muscat and Yousra closed the decade declaring she was 'ahead of the times' in Marrakech. Paired with chunky belts, loud prints and stage sparkle, these moments stand as perfectly preserved postcards from an era that never believed in keeping things subtle. Elissa | Dubai Concert (2001) Elissa hit the Dubai stage in full flair, pairing low-rise cuffed jeans with a belted waist and a bold mixed-print top - leopard, shimmer and sheen all in one. A defining early-2000s performance look, sealed with hoops and heels. Nancy Ajram | Lattakia Beach Ball Tournament, Syria (2004) Nancy Ajram lit up the stage in a sheer turquoise top, sequin-lined low-rise pants and a glitzy belt, proving no one accessorised Y2K glamour quite like her. Haifa Wehbe | Hurrieti Magazine Awards, Cairo (2004) Haifa Wehbe hit the stage in full 2000s pop-star mode: low-rise pants, knee-high boots, a sequined black halter and a sweep of blue eyeshadow that matched the era's love for shimmer. Ghada Adel & Hamada Helal | Eial Habbiba Screening, Cairo (2005) Fresh off their film release, Ghada Adel and Hamada Helal showed up in peak mid-2000s couple-core: flared low-rise jeans, wide belts and unapologetically loud prints. The duo turned a movie screening into a time capsule of Cairo's most carefree fashion era. Ola Ghanem | Abdu Mawasem Set, Cairo (2006) On the set of Abdu Mawasem, Ola Ghanem paired chestnut waves with low-slung jeans and a cut-out black top, giving us a casual yet unmistakably 2000s look. Nelly Karim | Akher Aldonya Set, Alexandria (2006) Nelly Karim filmed alongside heartthrob Yusef El Sherif in low-rise flares with a silver-buckled belt, a blue scarf, and just a peek of skin that kept the look casually chic on set. Ruby | Muscat Festival (2006) Ruby bent the rules and the mic stand in Muscat, taking the stage in a sequined green halter and low-rise jeans. The pop star brought Cairo's most talked-about energy to Oman, cementing her status as the Arab world's fearless stage siren. Yousra | Marrakech Film Festival (2010) Yousra brought a pop of personality in low-rise leggings, oversized earrings, and a purple tee stamped with 'I'm ahead of the times,' layered casually over stripes for an effortlessly striking moment.
