Blackpink's Jennie Releases Music Video for "Handlebars" Ft. Dua Lipa

Blackpink member has released a music video for the solo track 'Handlebars,' featuring Dua Lipa.
The visual for the mid-tempo tune was directed by BRTHR (Charli XCX, the Weeknd) and arrived on Monday.
The clip opens with the K-pop superstar using a two-wheeled metaphor to lament her proclivity for falling too far, too fast.
Jennie spends most of the video laying on her back on an electrified, heart-shaped spider's web when she's not taking selfie videos while rolling around on a spinning, round bed.
A glowing Dua transports in from another dimension a minute in and for the rest of the visual the pair croon back-to-back and lounge side-by-side in the giant spider web in a futuristic landscape filled with piles oHandlebarsHandlebarsf glitchy monitors and colorful flashing lights.
'Handlebars' appears on Jennie's just-released 15-track debut solo LP, "Ruby", which also features collaborations with Childish Gambino, Dominic Fike, Doechii, FKJ, and Kali Uchis.

BTS Reveals Plans for 2025 Festa Celebration in South Korea

Yara Sameh BTS has revealed new details about their upcoming 2025 FESTA, marking the K-pop group's 12th anniversary. FESTA is a yearly event that brings together BTS and their fans, ARMY, to celebrate their debut anniversary. This year's offline celebration is set for June 13–14 at KINTEX Exhibition Center 2 in Goyang, South Korea. The event will be open to the public and feature interactive activities, including a FESTA-themed game zone, DIY photo card stations, and a coloring wall inspired by BTS' album artwork. Attendees can also enjoy hourly light shows, explore a voice zone featuring messages from the BTS members, and visit an archive exhibit showcasing album covers, trophies and the members' personalized lockers. In conjunction with the in-person festivities, a lineup of online content — such as the annual 'BTS LIVE' and the family portrait — will be released. Exclusive merchandise will also be available. It remains unclear whether any BTS members — Jin, RM, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook — will appear or perform at this year's FESTA. At the 2024 FESTA, Jin made his first public appearance after completing his mandatory military service, personally greeting 1,000 fans with hugs. He also performed solo tracks 'The Astronaut' and 'Super Tuna,' along with BTS' 'Moon.' While none of the other BTS members were able to attend last year's FESTA, each wrote heartfelt letters to ARMY that were shared during the event. BTS, also known as the Bangtan Boys, began forming in 2010 after Big Hit Entertainment founder Bang Si-hyuk recruited RM followed by Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. However, the band officially debuted in 2013. Since then, the artists have gone on to experience dynamite success, including two Grammy nominations, six no. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and an ARMY of fans. In recent years, each of the seven members has also made a mark individually, with all scoring solo entries on the Hot 100. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia News Australia Fines Telegram $600,000 Over Terrorism, Child Abuse Content Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Sports Neymar Announced for Brazil's Preliminary List for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers News Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly Inaugurates Two Indian Companies Arts & Culture New Archaeological Discovery from 26th Dynasty Uncovered in Karnak Temple Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks News Shell Unveils Cost-Cutting, LNG Growth Plan

BTS' J-Hope Announces New Solo Single, "Killin' It Girl" Ft. GloRilla: Here's When It Arrives

Yara Sameh J-hope is continuing to build up his next era. The BTS member and solo star announced that he will release his upcoming collaborative solo single, 'Killin' It Girl,' featuring rapper GloRilla on June 13. The song and video slated to drop the same day will serve as the follow-up to Hobi's March hit 'Sweet Dreams' and April's 'Mona Lisa,'. In a release announcing the track, it is described as a hip-hop song 'that captures the thrill of falling in love at first sight. Imbued with refreshing honesty, the lyrics depict an infatuation towards a confident and irresistible other.' With 'minimalistic' production, the solo effort promises to balance the K-pop superstar dancer/rapper's rhythmic rap cadence with an 'addictive' hook and Memphis MC GloRilla's 'unmistakable delivery and bold charisma.' In a recent Billboard cover story the 31-year-old said after his discharge from mandatory South Korean military service — the full group plans to reunite at some point this year when they have all finished their army hitches — he headed straight to the U.S. to work with American producers. ''Sweet Dreams'' featuring Miguel — an artist I've long respected — has a smooth, soulful vibe that feels deeply personal, ' he said. 'On the other hand, 'Mona Lisa' brings a hip-hop-driven performance energy. Both tracks are easy to connect with, yet they offer a glimpse into the broader, more evolved musical world I'm building. This is just the start — I have plenty more musical experiments in store.' In addition to the collab with GloRilla, j-hope will also release a solo version titled 'Killin' It Girl (Solo Version),' at the same time. Hobi is currently on his world Hope on the Stage tour, which is slated to hit the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan on May 31 and wrap up on June 13 and 14 with two nights at the Goyang Sports Complex in Seoul, South Korea. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia News Australia Fines Telegram $600,000 Over Terrorism, Child Abuse Content Arts & Culture Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's $4.7M LA Home Burglarized Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Sports Neymar Announced for Brazil's Preliminary List for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers News Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly Inaugurates Two Indian Companies Arts & Culture New Archaeological Discovery from 26th Dynasty Uncovered in Karnak Temple Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks

Blackpink's Lisa Documentary Is on the Way

Yara Sameh Global superstar Lisa, who rose to fame with Blackpink and is now balancing that group with a successful solo recording career and move into acting, is the subject of a documentary film in production from Sony Music Vision and director Sue Kim. The announcement was delivered Thursday night during an upfront Sony Music Vision held in Hollywood to dive into a slate of music film projects that the company currently has in the works. Kim was on hand to discuss her movie about Lisa, as were fellow directors Baz Luhrmann, who spoke at length about a recently announced Elvis Presley documentary he has in the rough-cut stage, and Frank Marshall, who showed a few minutes of footage from his Barbra Streisand doc-in-progress. Kim said she spent a year working with Lisa on the forthcoming film, for which no release date was given. The filmmaker's previous acclaimed directorial work has been with less famous subjects, like A24's 'The Last of the Sea Women,' which premiered last fall at the Toronto Film Festival. But Kim did not come to the Lisa project as a K-pop novice; she was an executive producer on Apple TV+'s docuseries 'K-Pop Idols.' A trailer for the film screened during the presentation to industry pros included everything from concert footage of Lisa on stage performing her solo music to intimate footage of her with relatives. Kim said that at her very first meeting with Lisa, the singer immediately started texting a friend group from her pre-fame days, telling them she wanted them to be part of the documentary. Said Lisa, in a statement announcing the project: 'This has been such an incredible year and I'm so lucky to have the opportunity to capture these special moments on film and share the experience with my fans. Working with Sue Kim has been such a joy. We've been all around the world together and I know this is just the beginning of many more exciting things to come.' 'Following Lisa on this transformative and thrilling year has been a true honor and a cinematic gift,' said Kim, in the director's own statement. 'There have been so many moments on her journey that I think will surprise people and give a glimpse into her world that no one's ever seen before. I'm excited for viewers to watch the film and witness this extraordinary moment in her life.' The Lisa film is a production of Tremolo Productions in association with Salt Water Productions and LLOUD CO. The producers for the doc include Morgan Neville and Caitrin Rogers for Tremolo, and Sue Kim and Courtney Crockett for Salt Water Productions. Executive producers include Alice Kang, Joojong Joe for LLOUD CO.; Peter Edge, John Fleckenstein and Camille Yorrick for RCA Records; and Tom Mackay, Krista Wegener and Abby Davis for Sony Music Vision. The doc will be presented and distributed by Sony Music Vision in partnership with the RCA Records label. It follows the recent release by LLOUD CO./RCA of Lisa's debut solo album, 'Alter Ego.' After all the members of Blackpink took a year off to pursue solo efforts, the group is coming back together for a short tour scheduled for this year, presumably to be followed by a more prolonged reunion. The singer also made her acting debut in the most recent season of 'The White Lotus,' which was included in the trailer as one of the subjects to be broached in the documentary. Luhrmann's presentation of several minutes of footage from his 'EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert' film — which was described as neither a concert film nor a documentary, but obviously is a hybrid of both — served as the climax of the Sony Music Vision upfront, with the filmmaker talking about the dozens of hours of previously unseen footage he sifted through. The director said he recently showed a rough cut of the film and was encouraged by the reaction of even non-Presley fans to a project that includes considerable audio of Presley talking about his life as well as on-stage and backstage footage from the '50s through '70s. Sony Music Vision has been behind a recent streak of high-profile documentaries helmed by prestige directors, including Questlove's Sly Stone doc, as well as the company's remastered version of a vintage Pink Floyd concert film that this spring became its highest grossing big-screen release. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia News Australia Fines Telegram $600,000 Over Terrorism, Child Abuse Content Arts & Culture Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's $4.7M LA Home Burglarized Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Sports Neymar Announced for Brazil's Preliminary List for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers News Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly Inaugurates Two Indian Companies Arts & Culture New Archaeological Discovery from 26th Dynasty Uncovered in Karnak Temple Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks
