Trent Alexander-Arnold and Liverpool squad in Dubai hotel with $33,000-a-night rooms
Eight days separate Liverpool's 2-2 draw with the Gunners and next Monday's trip to Brighton, so Arne Slot allowed himself and his players some downtime in order to continue celebrating their Premier League title win.
While Slot took the decision to head to Ibiza, where he was spotted spending time with Wayne Lineker, Liverpool's players headed to Atlantis The Royal — a luxury hotel in Dubai. Virgil van Dijk and co were pictured strolling through the hotel, as well as also spending time on a luxury yacht off the coast of the United Arab Emirates.

Alexander-Arnold is not visible in any of the footage of the trip which has been circulating, but it is believed that he is there, as the vacation was apparently partly organized as a farewell trip for the right-back, who is set to join Real Madrid at the end of the season.
Reported to be one of the finest hotels in the world, lavish suites at Atlantis The Royal can set guests back from $9,000 to $33,000 per night when booked at short notice. The Skyscape Penthouse — the cheaper of those two options — boasts a large terrace with an infinity pool, a jacuzzi and views of the Arabian Sea.
Even the cheapest rooms at the hotel cost more than $1,000 per night; it is not clear which rooms the Liverpool players have been staying in.
While the players have been enjoying the sunny weather in the Middle East, head coach Slot has also been having plenty of fun of his own in the Balearic Islands, partying at the famous O Beach club.
Drinks can cost thousands of dollars at O Beach, which is co-owned by Wayne Lineker — the brother of former England star Gary — with the priciest item on the menu a six-liter bottle of Armand de Brignac brut, which costs €9,500 ($10,500).
A 15-liter bottle of Veuve Clicquot Nebuchadnezzar will set customers back €4,900 ($5,450), while a three-liter bottle of Dom Perignon is priced at €3,750 ($4,150).
Other outlandishly pricey items — although ones which most people could still stretch to — include a glass of fresh fruit juice, which costs a whopping €10 ($11), and a can of Red Bull, which costs €7 ($8).
Lineker shared a picture of himself alongside Slot, accompanied by the caption "Caption this #ynwa", while he also shared a video of Slot being serenaded to the tune of We Are the Champions by Queen.

Liverpool is winless in its two games since it clinched the league last month, after allowing a two-goal lead to slip against Arsenal. Speaking after the game, Arne Slot said of the Reds' failure to close the game out: "Unfortunately, we had 15 to 20 minutes where we played with the same intensity [to the previous weekend at Chelsea, when Liverpool lost 3-1].
"It is not completely bad, but I miss a little bit – and the first 15 or 20 minutes of the second half were similar to what we saw last week, where we played really good with the ball, came into so many promising positions but in the final third we were not that decisive. And defending last week, the few goals we conceded were – let's put it positively – not so good. That I saw in the first 15 minutes after half-time, but the first half was great."

Pep Guardiola needed just one phone call to lure Liverpool mastermind to Man City
Pep Guardiola has disclosed that a single phone call was all it took to persuade former Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders to join the ranks at Manchester City. The Dutch tactician parted ways with the Reds last year, stepping down from his position alongside Jurgen Klopp after an illustrious six-year spell at Anfield. Lijnders took the helm at Red Bull Salzburg in May 2024 and officially started in July, but his tenure was cut short in December after securing just 13 wins in 29 matches. During his stint at Anfield, the 42-year-old had been clear about seeking managerial roles post-Liverpool and had expressed no interest in returning to an assistant role once he left Klopp's team. While their collaboration is still in its infancy, Guardiola has already expressed admiration for his latest recruit while discussing his choice to bring Lijnders on board. "I know he was with Jurgen [Klopp] for many, many years," Guardiola told Sky Sports' 'One on One Podcast.' "And I thought, 'Okay, if he was with many, many years with Jurgen, this guy must be good!' "After (that) he has of course been at Salzburg and has experience as a manager. "We talked just one day and I said I would to (work) with you... sometimes decisions come from the feelings. "I knew Liverpool played outstanding the decade we have been together. I think he can give us something we didn't have in the last season in terms of rhythm, intensity, in terms of another vision of football. "Since day one, I think we were incredibly connected. I would say it's so easy to work with me, sorry to tell you, because I give incredible space to do what they believe they have to do. For the players a little bit less but for my staff, it is so easy. "I think we needed one phone call. And I said, 'Okay, let's do it. Let's go together.' That's the way it was." Liverpool icon Jamie Carragher has already highlighted Lijnders' influence on Man City during their win over Wolves. "Pep Lijnders is a big coach, big influence on Jurgen Klopp and I did see little instance of that Liverpool team," Carragher said on Sky Sports' 'Monday Night Football.' "I watched the game at the weekend and couldn't believe what I saw, the players were jumping high up to try and catch the Wolves players offside. "This is very Liverpool-like. It made me think how much influence is maybe the new coach having on this team... "The amount of counter-attacking goals that Liverpool team would score with [Sadio] Mane and [Mohamed] Salah, breaking forward. When I looked at the goal from Reijnders... not maybe a Pep Guardiola goal. "Of course, Pep Guardiola's teams have scored plenty of counter-attacking goals in the past. But what really stood out for this one was the type of goal it was. They win it and then they're off. "Lijnders - Guardiola gives him the thanks, the hug. Now we don't know exactly what that's for, but I don't think it's a coincidence with some of the things that I saw in the game that he, as a coach, is having a big influence on Pep Guardiola."

Gerry Turner secretly dated this ‘Golden Bachelor' contestant after Theresa Nist split
Gerry Turner's journey to love continued after Theresa Nist. In fact, the 73-year-old secretly dated another 'Golden Bachelor' contestant following his divorce from the New Jersey native, 72, in 2024. Turner and Nist first got engaged at the end of 2023 on the show before exchanging vows on a TV special in January 2024. But by April of that year, the exes announced in an interview with 'Good Morning America' that they were divorcing. 10 Theresa Nist with Joan Vassos, Susan Noles and Kathy Swarts. theresa_nist/Instagram 10 The ladies of 'The Golden Bachelor.' joan_vassos/Instagram While on Wednesday's episode of the 'Bachelor Happy Hour' podcast, hosts Susan Noles and Kathy Swarts asked Nist about her ex-husband's dating history. 'Theresa, I think you know, Gerry dated Christina from our show for a while after…' Noles claimed. Christina Kempton was another contestant competing for Turner's love on the series in 2023. 10 Christina Kempton on 'The Golden Bachelor.' 'I'm actually the one who suggested he go out with Christina,' she revealed. 'We're all on the same page. They went out for, like, six months,' Swarts chimed in, which surprised the finance whiz. According to Kempton's bio from the 'Golden Bachelor,' the then-73-year-old is a retired purchasing manager who lived in Sierra Madre, Calif. 10 'The Golden Bachelor' contestant Christina Kempton. Turner, meanwhile, revealed in April, per TMZ, that he's dating a retired school teacher named Lana, who also lives in Indiana. 10 Christina Kempton poses with her grandson Landon. 'I really am happy for him,' Nist, who's also dating, stated on an episode of 'The Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast' in June. 'And if he had to find his person by going this circuitous route, then he did, then it was successful. He found someone that really suits him, and that's wonderful. So I think it worked out the way it was supposed to work out.' While on the mic, Nist also addressed rumors that she and Turner split over his cancer diagnosis. 'It was a zero factor, zero. Absolutely. I was just so surprised that he even said that,' she detailed. 'I knew about the cancer a long time ago. And the way Gary presented it to me was that, 'The doctor said that I'm going to die of old age before this cancer gets to me.'' 10 Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist tie the knot. Disney 'He bluffed it off, like it really wasn't that important,' continued Nist. 'And he had no symptoms, and he still doesn't. So we never had a conversation that said, 'Oh my gosh, you're sick. I can't stay with you now. I have to leave.' That never happened.' In December 2024, Turner revealed he's been diagnosed with a blood cell cancer, Waldenström's macroglobulinemia, claiming it played into their split. He also admitted that he and Nist each wanted to live close to their families in different states. 10 Theresa Nist and Gerry Turner pose together. Disney via Getty Images 'When you are hit with that kind of news and the shock wears off after a few days or a few weeks and you regroup and you realize what's important to you, that's where you start to move forward,' Turner told People. 'And I hope that people understand in retrospect now that that had a huge bearing on my decisions and I think probably Theresa's as well.' 'They interviewed him the day before they interviewed me,' Nist explained on the podcast. 'And right before my interview, they contacted me, and they said, 'Hey, we want to talk to you right now, because Gerry just came out and said that his illness was the reason you broke up.' And I go, 'What?' I said, 'No, it wasn't that.' There was zero conversation about that being in it.' Although at the time, she did believe that Turner thought he was telling the truth. 10 Theresa Nist sports a pink mini dress while out in the summer. theresa_nist/Instagram 10 Theresa Nist and Gery Turner pose in bed. goldengerryturner/Instagram 'If that was the reason, it was in his mind only, never discussed as a reason. He said it was a factor that weighed heavily into my decision. And I would imagine Theresa's, too,' Nist confessed. 'He just imagined. But it had nothing to do with it. Nothing. I would have never left my husband over in illness. I stayed with my husband, Billy.' She noted, 'I mean, for years he was sick, and he passed away at home. He was in hospice. I mean, it was really pretty bad. But I would never leave … That's just not me. That wouldn't happen.' In September, Nist made it clear she harbors no ill will toward Turner. 'So Gerry and I have spoken,' she exclusively told The Post. 'We don't speak regularly. I would say I wish him all the best, and I can see that he has so many friends, and I'm so happy for him that he does.'

Nude cruisers, beware: This is the one place on a ship where you can't bare your butt, or anything else
They're not pirates, but they'll have to hide their booties while feasting on the high seas. Travel buffs who prefer vacationing in the buff can freely flaunt their flesh with Bare Necessities, a tourist company chartering nude cruises to exotic destinations. But it's not all fun and games and genitalia in every corner of the watercraft. Advertisement 5 Bare Necessities hosts nude cruises around the world, enforcing one strict dress code on its passengers at all times. Facebook/Bare Necessities Cruises Passengers, many who spend between $13,000 to $50,000 to bare it all onboard, must cover up their portholes in spaces dedicated to chowing down. 'Clothing is required for all meals taken in the dining rooms,' per Bare Necessities' Frequently Asked Questions, which notes, however, that the self-serve buffet is a 'clothes-free' area. Advertisement 'Casual attire is fine in all of these venues,' says the site of ship eateries. 'Bathrobes are not permitted in the dining room.' 5 The nudie cruise line demands that voyagers wear casual clothing in its dining rooms, and sit on towels while bare-bottomed elsewhere on the boat. Studio Porto Sabbia – The cruise line insists that trippers remain full clothed while docked in port, during the captain's introduction reception and when locals come aboard to perform. 'When in doubt as to what is appropriate attire, simply confirm that breasts, bottoms and genitalia are fully covered by clothing that is not considered to be fetish-wear or lingerie,' the rule continues. 'Lingerie, fetish-wear, and excessive genital jewelry are not appropriate at any time.' Advertisement Glittery groins could ruin anyone's appetite. Still, even with the strict attire requirement, au naturel aficionados are eating up the concept of nautical nakedness. 5 Nudists aboard the clothing-optional cruise ships don't seem to mind having to dress for dinner. Facebook/Bare Necessities Cruises A herd of uninhibited hedonists set sail on a 968-foot vessel — endearingly nicknamed 'The Big Nude Boat' — for an 11-day, clothing-optional Bare Necessities cruise to the Caribbean, which made stops in Martinique and St. Lucia, this February. Advertisement Nudists on the ride raved about the unique experience online, commenting, 'What an amazing trip,' and 'What a blast,' on the company's official Instagram account. It's fawning fans notwithstanding, Bare Necessities admits that it can't give 'one definite answer' to why folks enjoy boating in their birthday suits. 'Many have expressed that they find themselves more relaxed and withholding less of who they are without the barrier of clothing,' reads the site. 'Bottom line — being able to relax in your own skin leads to body acceptance.' 5 Travelers often gain a renewed sense of self-love and body appreciation after a nude cruise, according to the experts. – Self-love was a souvenir that Helen Berriman, 47, of London, took home after a two-week voyage on a nude cruise with 2,300 strangers in 2023. 'I used to struggle with body positivity and confidence, but now I am so different. My body is my vessel,' said Berriman following the esteem-enhancing trip. 'I used to equate nudity to sex and being objectified, but now my outlook has totally changed.' Bare Necessities is clear that its undressed launches have nothing to do with sex. 'If you are seeking a lifestyle or swinger experience, we are not the appropriate cruise for you,' writes the brand. Advertisement 5 Bare Necessities clearly prohibits sexual inappropriateness aboard its ships. OceanProd – It, too, prohibits 'fondling or inappropriate touching of personal body parts or those of someone else,' as well as 'overt sexual activity or any solicitation for sexual acts.' There are also a number of 'NO PHOTO ZONES' around the ships' pools and dance halls, where pleasure-seekers are banned from snapping pics. Advertisement 'As an affiliated club of the American Association of Nude Recreation (AANR), we adhere to its standards of etiquette and decorum,' the imprint adds. 'Violations of these standards will result in immediate disembarkation at the next port of call, without refund or compensation of any kind.' Bare Necessities' next nudie cruise, 'The Scenic Eclipse II,' is scheduled for October 26 through November 9, with certain reservations already sold out.
