CHRISTIAN HORNER has been tipped to take a stunning new role in Formula One as speculation over his future refuses to go away.
Stunning rumours earlier this week suggested the Red Bull chief could make a remarkable switch to become the team principal of Ferrari.

Horner dismissed suggestions he could leave the F1 team he has led for more than 20 years, joking his inability to speak Italian meant the move would not work.
However, former F1 star Ralf Schumacher has tipped the 51-year-old to take up an improved position at French constructor Alpine.
According to Schumacher, 49, Horner could be tempted to leave Red Bull if controversial Alpine boss and majority owner Flavio Briatore offered him shares in the team.
A similar deal took F1 design legend Adrian Newey from Red Bull to Aston Martin last year.

Speaking on a podcast with Sky Germany, Schumacher said: "Briatore is looking for a good new team boss.
"And he and Horner know and respect each other.
"I believe this is what he has always wanted and never achieved at Red Bull Racing.
"It's something he couldn't get anywhere else.

"That's why I think he might be very interested in moving to Alpine as the boss."
In the reality Horner does decide to leave Red Bull after two decades of service, Schumacher also earmarked a possible replacement.

He added: "If I were (Red Bull CEO) Oliver Mintzlaff, I would call Andreas Seidl right away and try to get him."
Seidl, 49, was previously the CEO of Sauber and team principal of McLaren in F1.
He led McLaren from 2019 to December 2022, when it was announced he would be joining Sauber in January 2023.
In March 2024 he was then announced as the CEO of Audi's F1 operations, but after just four months he was axed and replaced by former Ferrari chief Mattia Binotto.
The 2025 F1 season returns this weekend at the Canadian Grand Prix, with McLaren's Oscar Piastri leading the World Drivers Championship by 10 points ahead of team-mate Lando Norris.
Red Bull's reigning world champion Max Verstappen is 49 points off the pace after losing his head at the Spanish Grand Prix when he crashed his car deliberately into rival George Russell.
Verstappen's actions put him on the cusp of a race ban after the FIA slapped him with three penalty points on his superlicence.
One more point before June 30 means he will face a race ban, so the Dutchman will need to be on his best behaviour for this weekend's race in Canada and the following weekend's Austria Grand Prix.
Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton has rubbished retirement talk after declaring his last race with Ferrari was one of the "worst he had ever experienced".

FIA suspend key figure ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix after his 'unauthorised comments' on Max Verstappen and George Russell
A Formula One steward has been suspended from his role ahead of this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix after making 'unauthorised' comments in the media. Derek Warwick, the former F1 driver, has been stood down for the race after delivering his verdict on an incident between Max Verstappen and George Russell. Last week, Warwick, 70, insisted the 10-second penalty given to Verstappen after he collided with Russell during the Spanish Grand Prix was 'right'. Speaking to a gambling website, he said: 'Should [Verstappen] have done what he did with George Russell in Turn 5? Absolutely not. Did he get a penalty for it? Yes. 'Some people argue that Sebastian Vettel received a 10-second drive-through penalty in Baku [in 2017] when he deliberately drove into Lewis Hamilton. 'But if you look at the video of Max, it looks to me like he dived in but then turned away from George – the momentum just carried him into him.' Warwick then added: 'I'm not condoning it, I'm not saying it was right. It was absolutely wrong. The FIA rightly gave him a penalty. Should it have been harsher? I actually think they got it about right. 'Many would say he should have received a race ban as a deterrent for young karting drivers, and they're probably right.' A statement from the FIA read: 'After discussion, Derek acknowledges that his comments were ill-advised in his role as an FIA steward and has apologised. 'Derek will resume his duties as a steward in the forthcoming Austrian Grand Prix.' A former F1 driver is always one of the four stewards officiating at every grand prix and Warwick, a winner of the Le Mans 24 Hours, is one of the most senior officials. Warwick also gave his opinion on the struggles of Red Bull's second drivers and on Lewis Hamilton's difficult first season at Ferrari, saying his woes were an 'enigma'. Sky Sports pundit Martin Brundle leapt to Warwick's defence on Saturday, writing on social media: 'Derek Warwick is one of the most genuine and passionate people and racers I have ever known. He is a salt of the earth genuine guy. 'He's done so much for young racers and motorsport in general. Not least as an FIA Steward. He has my absolute support and friendship until my last breath.' Warwick is one of the most senior FIA stewards and raced in F1 between 1981 and 1993 Warwick has been temporarily replaced by Enrique Bernoldi in Canada, who will officiate from the FIA's remote operations centre in Geneva this weekend. Pop star Robbie Williams named as new Fifa Music Ambassador
Pop star Robbie Williams has been named as the new Fifa Music Ambassador and has co-written the first official anthem of the international football governing body. The singer, best known for songs such as Rock DJ, Angels and Candy, has been appointed to the role to 'deepen fan connection' and 'elevate' the emotion of the game by bringing music and football together on the world stage. He has co-written a new song, Desire, which will be played before Fifa tournaments and matches worldwide to accompany players as they walk on to the pitch. The song will debut at the Club World Cup's opening match being held in Miami on Saturday, before being used in all upcoming tournaments including the 2026 World Cup. Williams said: 'Music and football bring people together like nothing else — each with their own universal language of connection, emotion, spirit and community. 'When those worlds come together, there's nothing like it — and I'm beyond honoured to be the Fifa Music Ambassador. 'Football and music have both been part of my life for as long as I can remember, so this means a lot to me on a personal level. Williams provided the theme song for the Fifa 2000 video game, It's Only Us, on the condition that his favourite team Port Vale were included in the game. The new anthem, which was co-written with Karl Brazil, Owen Parker and Erik Jan Grob, features the Italian singer Laura Pausini. The track will be accompanied by a new video which will be shown for the first time at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium. Williams added: 'I've grown up watching the walk-outs, the anthems, the drama – so writing and recording the official Fifa anthem is a real privilege. 'I wanted to create something that captures all of it — the passion, the nerves, the pride and the majesty of that feeling just before kick-off. 'Football and music have always meant the world to me, and bringing them together on this kind of stage gives me goosebumps. 'I know I'll get to perform this song at some of my favourite tournaments in the coming years, which fills me with excitement. It's a real honour that Laura Pausini accepted my invitation to feature on the song – she's an incredible artist with the perfect voice.' Pausini, 51, rose to fame after winning the 1993 newcomer artists' section of the Sanremo Music Festival, one of the biggest and longest running song contests in Italy, with her song, La Solitudine. The singer, who has released Italian and Spanish albums, won a Grammy in 2006 for Best Latin Pop Album and was also nominated for an Oscar in 2020 for best original song with Io si/Seen. She added: 'The song is amazing, really touching. It's a dream to be with him for the Fifa Club World Cup. Since I was a little girl growing up in Italy I remember the thrill and passion for football in my home country. 'To be able to perform live with Robbie Williams in front of passionate football fans and to be heard by music fans around the world will be truly amazing.' It comes as Williams completes the UK leg of his tour which will then continue with concerts in Ireland, Spain and Italy.
