Australian hip hop group Hilltop Hoods make a huge comeback as they announce first new album in six years
Hilltop Hoods are making a huge comeback.
The legendary Australian hip hop group have announced they will be releasing their first new album in six years.
The Aussie rap stars shared the exciting news to social media on Wednesday, revealing Fall From The Light will be released on August 1.
'This album has been an exercise in patience. Six years is a long time between albums, but there's a good reason for that,' they wrote.
They added the long wait allowed the group to produce some of the best work of their career.
'There was a lot happening, in the world and in our lives. But it turns out (from my perspective anyway), that time was the album's strength, not weakness,' they said.

'We've never been so thorough, so pedantic with an album before. The result is something that's been carefully crafted with an extreme attention to detail.
'It's an album we're really proud of, and a body of music we can't wait to share with everyone.'
Many of their 198,000 followers took to the comment section to express their excitement.
'That's awesome. Hopefully a tour announcement soon,' one person wrote.
'This is so cool!!! Cannot wait boys!' a second added.
Hilltop Hoods have release nine studio albums since forming in Adelaide in 1994.
In 2019, the band revealed they simply couldn't afford to take their show overseas despite their massive success Down Under.
Member Matt Lambert told The Daily Telegraph of their elaborate Australian stage age: 'What we put on here is so big now.'
'If we took the big show overseas we would have to sell all of our houses to be able to afford it,' he added.
Lambert, also known as MC Suffa, added that the group's mainstream fame had taken them from outsiders to contenders.
'We definitely don't feel as much of an outsider as we used to,' he told the paper of being a rare Aussie hip hop act.
'We used to feel almost like some kind of novelty.'
The group is made up of founding members MC Suffa (Lambert) and MC Pressure (Daniel Smith) and is backed up by DJ Debris (Barry Francis).
Their prior studio album, 2014's Walking Under Stars, hit number one in Australia and was certified double platinum.
In February 2019, the group supported Eminem on his Australian and New Zealand concert tour.
The hip-hop group has won eight ARIA Awards and are regarded as Australia's most successful homegrown hip hop act.

Former Channel Seven star Denham Hitchcock breaks his silence as he confirms shock move to Network Ten
Channel Seven 's Denham Hitchcock has officially jumped ship to Network Ten, becoming the third high-profile journalist to exit the network in a major shake-up of Australia's media landscape. The veteran reporter confirmed the news on Monday on Instagram, revealing he would be joining Ten's soon-to-be-launched investigative unit – and that the move had a personal twist. 'Well here we go. I've switched channels. But also in a way – I've come full circle,' Hitchcock began. 'I grew up watching my father on Channel Ten News every night. I had a bunk bed with Eyewitness News stickers all over it – and can still sing the theme song.' He added: 'So I'm delighted to start work here today – joining the network to help with its plans for the future.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. He also shared a throwback photo of his father, veteran Ten journalist Kevin Hitchcock, sporting a classic 1980s moustache and captioned it with some amusing words: 'Not sure I could pull one of those off – but there's still time.' The move comes just days after The Australian reported that Hitchcock, along with 7News Sydney's Bill Hogan and award-winning former foreign correspondent Amelia Brace, had all resigned from Seven to join Ten. The trio are believed to have signed on to front a new current affairs program backed by Ten's head of news, Martin White. Brace and Hitchcock left Seven's Sydney newsroom within hours of quitting and began work at Ten on Monday. Hogan is expected to start in three weeks. The departures fuel speculation that Ten is preparing to launch a prime-time news magazine show to take on Nine's 60 Minutes, Seven's Spotlight, and ABC's Four Corners. Industry sources say the new program will focus on long-form investigative stories and is currently assembling what's been described as a 'crack team' of reporters and producers. A Ten spokesperson confirmed the shake-up to Daily Mail Australia, saying: 'Following the continued growth and success of our news brand, 10 News, we are investing in an investigative unit that will work on long-form stories.' For Hitchcock, the move comes just three months after returning to Seven following a break from TV journalism to live on a catamaran with his wife Mari and their young children. He had originally helped launch Spotlight in 2019 and led the network's coverage of major crime and current affairs stories, including last year's Who Killed Marea? documentary on Sky News. Despite his short return to Seven, Hitchcock appears ready to dive back into serious reporting at Ten – and has called on viewers to help feed him stories. 'To everyone who keeps sending me stories to look into – keep them coming. I read every message,' he wrote. Ten's new current affairs program is expected to launch later this year. Hitchcock departs only three months after having returned to Seven after a couple of years off living on a catamaran with his young family. 'I'm back. It's time to wash some of the salt out - and get back to what I do best,' he wrote on social media.

Kmart shoppers obsess over the $49 must-have 'IT' item: 'OMG it looks like a designer'
Savvy shoppers are flocking to Kmart to get their hands on a winter must-have item. The retailer's new faux suede oversized bomber jacket in the colour 'melt brown', priced at just $49, is being eyed by the fashion set as a steal. The cool, luxurious-looking chocolate brown statement piece has been flying off the shelves for all the right reasons - as suede is currently having a major moment in the fashion world. The jacket can be paired with a fancy dress for a night out or for a chic casual look, try a pair of blue jeans, a white T-shirt and white sneakers. 'The bomber jacket of the season has landed! And it's only $49,' Kmart said. Hundreds of excited shoppers weighed in, with many describing it as a 'hot item'. 'Wait what? Kmart - omg it looks like a designer jacket,' one suggested. 'It's what I was looking for,' another said. 'Love it! Love the colour too,' added another. 'OMG I need it,' one revealed. The bomber jacket comes in the 'IT' shade of chocolate brown, which is bang on trend for 2025. In addition, the suede-style material is also a trending look this winter. Similar chocolate brown suede bomber jackets, featuring oversized pocket details, can be found at other popular online fashion retailers - selling for upwards of $387. Accordingly, Aussie fashionistas have wasted no time in heading to the shops to pick up the stylish bargain buy. 'I ran, didn't walk and bought it already,' one revealed. 'Omg just tried this jacket on this morning and it is fabulous,' another shared. However, some disappointed shoppers revealed they were struggling to find the fashion forward piece in stores after it was 'sold out' in their area. 'When are these jackets coming back in stock?' one asked. A Kmart Australia employee responded to some of these messages, assuring customers they were 'working hard' to get the jacket back on shelves – and were hopeful that stock would be plentiful within the next few weeks. However, not all feedback on the coveted jacket was positive. One Kmart shopper who'd managed to get hold of the fashion item in store complained that there were 'not a fan of the material at all'. 'It feels like thick heavy cupboard,' they commented. Another questioned the price point of the jacket, saying: 'A bit expensive Kmart'. Meanwhile, some loyal Kmart fans suggested the jacket did not meet their expectations because they didn't like how 'stiff' the faux suede felt on their body. However, others were thrilled with the style and fit. The jacket is made from a blend of Polyurethane (PU), polyester, cotton and other fibres as well as pongee and suedette fabric. It features a spread collar, long balloon sleeves with a buttoned cuffs, a zip up front and front patch pockets with flap. Like most bomber jackets, the fit of the jacket is designed to be 'oversized'. The latest shopping find comes after another Kmart jacket recently sent fashion lovers into a frenzy. Kmart's Tie Front denim jacket, $35, quickly became a must-have item after being compared to Soeur's Agatha jacket, $545, a high-end staple loved for its effortless French-girl aesthetic. For those who love designer looks but don't want to splurge, the Kmart jacket appeared an obvious choice. At $35, the Kmart denim jacket offered the same laid-back silhouette and rich blue wash without the hefty price tag. The reaction online was instant, with shoppers in disbelief that such a stylish piece was from Kmart. 'Wait. Are you saying this jacket is from Kmart? Stop it immediately,' one person commented. Another added, 'Stop! That is not Kmart! How cute! Immediately adds to cart…' With denim fashion leaning towards relaxed, slightly oversized silhouettes, the Tie Front denim jacket was quickly hailed as an autumn staple.

Farmer Wants A Wife fans slam glaring detail following Thomas' heartfelt apology to Clarette: 'They are just playing the game'
Farmer Wants A Wife fans are up in arms following Monday night's bombshell episode, pointing out a baffling detail in the latest season. The 13th episode saw Thomas, 35, make a dramatic comeback to the show just 24 hours after blindsiding his ladies by abruptly storming off the farm. Clarette, Rachael, Jess and Laura were left visibly stunned when the farmer made a late entrance at the glitzy Country Ball, having had zero contact with them since vanishing in the heat of the moment. 'I'm really sorry about how it all ended,' Thomas said, pulling Clarette aside the moment he arrived. 'I shouldn't be storming out.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Still reeling from their argument, Clarette told Thomas she felt betrayed after discovering he'd been messaging his ex, Claire, despite insisting their connection was over. 'I was so upset because I thought Claire was no longer an issue for us,' she said. But Thomas was quick to shut down any lingering doubts. 'I mean it, I swear. The contact's deleted. No contact at all,' he insisted. His emotional plea seemed to work, with Clarette accepting his apology before the pair sealed their reconciliation with a passionate kiss. However, despite Clarette's 'forgive and forget' attitude, fans aren't so quick to breeze passed a glaring detail. Despite Farmer Thomas' obvious preference towards frontrunner Clarette and the on-and-off screen connection they share, the other three women continue to stick around. Fans flooded social media questioning why the other ladies even bother staying on the show - and why Thomas hasn't put his eggs in one basket and called it a day. Fans flooded social media questioning why the other ladies even bother staying on the show - and why Thomas hasn't put his eggs in one basket and called it a day 'Why are Thomas's ladies even there? Clarette is obviously his one. I, for one, would leave,' one person wrote on Facebook. Another chimed in: 'Totally are all giving Clarette grief, but I think they are having a relationship and they are just playing the game for the show.' Other fans poured into the comment section of the show's Instagram page to share their predictions regarding the pairing. 'Thomas picks Charette and I don't know why the other ladies are still there I feel sorry for the other ladies,' one wrote. 'He is incredibly awkward. I can't watch him anymore, let Clarette have him, gets these other deserving girls off the hook,' another said. 'He and Clarette deserve each other, all the other ladies have all been too good for him,' someone else savagely penned. Thomas' shock reunion sent ripples through the group on Monday night, with Jess later pulling the farmer aside for a serious chat. She admitted she felt like she was wasting her time competing for attention and hinted at a possible exit from the show. Despite the drama, Thomas went on to select Clarette for his next one-on-one date, proving he's all in on making their relationship work. His surprise return, heartfelt apology, and bold decision to double down on Clarette has well and truly reignited the race for love - and thrown the farm doors wide open for more drama.
