‘My make-up stayed in place for 12 hours' Amazon shoppers rave over £8 setting spray that ‘works even in 34°c heat'

BEAUTY fans are praising L'Oreal's £8 setting spray for keeping their make-up intact in the hot weather. The budget beauty buy is at its lowest price on Amazon, so shoppers can currently pick it up for £7.99. L'Oreal Infallible Setting Spray Mist 75ml, £7.99 (was £9.99) BUY HERE The L'Oreal Infallible Setting Spray Mist went viral on TikTok after users raved of its ultra-strong hold. It has a lightweight mist consistency that doesn't leave any residue, promising transfer-proof and sweat-proof formula. Unlike some other bestselling setting sprays (think Charlotte Tilbury and Urban Decay), L'Oreal's version is an aerosol mist, rather than a water spray. While water-based setting mists can be good for achieving a dewy finish, aerosol sprays are typically fast-drying, and are often great for locking in make-up on oily skin types. The £8 skincare product has racked up hundreds of five-star reviews. One Amazon shopper wrote: "It worked really well in 34 degree heat, my friend purchased this for a recent holiday in Turkey and told me to try it. Normally whenever I put on make-up on in heat it melts off after an hour, but this spray is truly amazing. My make-up stayed in place all night, so I came straight home and ordered some - a make-up bag must-have." Another added: "As a test I wore a cream coloured hoody to try it out and to my surprise I got no transfer when I pulled the hoody over my face! Normally I get a orange collar at this point even after using other setting sprays. I must admit by the end of the day there was a small amount of transfer, but nothing compared to other products and my collar had been rubbing against the makeup all day." One/Size On 'Til Dawn Waterproof Setting Spray, £32 L'Oreal's Infallible Spray has been compared to the popular One/Size Waterproof Setting Spray online, and it's a fraction of the price. Retailing for £18 for a 46ml bottle, the setting spray is also aerosol, and it works to set make-up in place and tighten the pores for a blurred, matte finish. Setting sprays are a saviour in the hot weather, as our make-up fights against sweat and humidity. It's one of the few products I couldn't be without for sweltering days in the office and holidays. While I'm yet to try the L'Oreal spray for myself, the Sun Shopping team has put other summer skincare essentials to the test, including the best sun creams and the best SPFs for the face. Several retailers have released beauty boxes in recent months dedicated to summer skincare, haircare and make-up, including Glossybox's Summer Beauty Bag, and Space NK's £80 Travel Edit worth £160. £105 worth of products for £30, including Sol de Janeiro and La Roche-Posay. The beauty box caused mass sell-outs on the website, so is unlikely to be restocked. L'Oreal Infallible Setting Spray Mist may be worth considering.

L'Oreal recruits US OnlyFans porn model Ari Kytsya to promote makeup brand popular with teenagers

Cosmetics juggernaut L'Oreal has hired an OnlyFans model famous for filming porn to promote a makeup brand popular with teenagers. The 116-year-old firm hired Ari Kytsya, a US-based self-described 'mattress actress', as a brand ambassador for Urban Decay, a L'Oreal-owned line of makeup sold in Boots and other high street shops. In a video posted to Urban Decay's TikTok that has been viewed nearly 19million times, Kytsya tells viewers that 'censorship is out of control' and calls for 'uncensored makeup' that performs 'on stage, on camera and yes on mattresses'. While Kytsya produces some hair and makeup tutorials, as well as lifestyle content, she is best known for sharing adult content on OnlyFans, where she shares pornographic images and videos with her paying subscribers. Kytsya also releases videos in which she promises her 4.6million TikTok followers that starting an OnlyFans can be a lucrative career choice. In one video, she said: 'The thing about my job is if you go full out you can make enough money to start your own thing whether that's buying houses or doing Airbnbs and investing'. In others she offers practical advice for those who want to make their own OnlyFans account, encouraging people to take regular tests for STDs. Kytsya, however, also does acknowledge the 'danger' in her line of work, and tells girls 'who have just turned 18' not to rush into the industry. 'Take time to think about it before you do it', she said in one clip. Urban Decay, which L'Oreal bought in 2012, hired Kytsya to front its Battle the Bland campaign, citing the adult actress' 'uncensored main character energy'. The firm is known for its provocatively-named products, including 'Perversion' eyeliners, 'Naked' eyeshadows and 'All Nighter' setting sprays. However, Kytsya's hiring appeared to break L'Oreal's own 'Value Charter', which sets out standards for hiring influencers. The charter explicitly bans influencers who work with L'Oreal brands from posting, or have previously posted, pornography. A L'Oreal spokesperson, on behalf of Urban Decay, told the Guardian: 'Urban Decay partners with a diverse range of talent who represent the many facets of creative expression. 'Urban Decay chose US creator Ari Kytsya for her distinctive makeup artistry and her authenticity. She is known for her open and transparent dialogue with her community, fostering conversations about her personal experiences, including the joys, challenges, and risks of the industry she works in.' But the new CEO of the Fawcett Society, a UK-based women's rights group, said Kytsya might not be the best choice of brand ambassador for group with a high number of impressionable teenagers as customers. Penny East said: 'We have concerns about the thousands of very young women joining the site in the hope of finding fame and fortune. The majority of OnlyFans creators make very little money and the pressure to find a niche is pushing women to make increasingly explicit content. 'Ari Kytsya is one of the few successes. She is a hugely popular and engaging influencer, with a large following across all social media platforms. She also creates highly explicit and pornographic content on OnlyFans. 'The move to put OnlyFans content creators in high-street commercial makeup campaigns will only serve to make OnlyFans a more enticing prospect for young girls'.
