When the boy arrived with three others, the girl was home alone. The FIR states, "These four boys forcibly took her inside a room, covered her mouth and threw her on the bed. They held her hands and feet, and each of the four boys took turns assaulting her."
The girl's mother returned home to find the door open and the boys with her daughter. She locked them inside and called for help. However, the boys escaped before police arrived. The girl's father told TOI on Tuesday that he immediately called police at 112 when his wife told him what had happened. "When some residents of the society came to our house and were talking to my wife about the incident, the boys managed to flee," he said.

"We sent the girl for a medical examination. The report is awaited. Her magistrate statement will be recorded soon," he said.
The school manager confirmed that the girl had recently enrolled but has not attended classes since admission. The Class XI student named as accused and the girl did not study in the school together, he and her brother did. "The main accused and her brother were in our school till Class 10. Both did not continue in Class 11," the school manager said.

Over Rs 1cr compensation for triple rider who suffered 100% disability in accident

Panchkula: In a landmark ruling, the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal in Panchkula has awarded a compensation of ₹1.17 crore to a 36-year-old man who suffered 100% disability after a horrific road accident while triple riding on a two-wheeler. The tribunal, presided over by District and Sessions Judge Ved Parkash Sirohi, held the car's driver, owner, and insurer jointly liable for the payout. The victim is also entitled to 6% annual interest on the compensation amount from the date of filing the claim until its realization. The accident occurred in the early hours of April 28, 2024, when Arun Madan was riding an Activa with Veer and Sitaram as pillion passengers. As they approached the Kalka-Shimla highway, a car driven recklessly by Amrinder Singh Dhiman of Sangrur allegedly came from the wrong side and rammed into the scooter. All three riders were injured, and the vehicle was badly damaged. Amrinder transported the injured to Civil Hospital, Sector 6, Panchkula. While Veer and Sitaram were discharged after first aid, Arun was referred to GMCH, Sector 32, Chandigarh, but was instead taken to Alchemist Hospital, Sector 21, Panchkula. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Woman sells ring given by ex, then jeweler tells her 'This can't be true' Daily Sport X Undo The police registered a case against the car driver under relevant IPC sections at Pinjore police station. Arun, who was employed as an assistant manager in a Baddi-based firm earning ₹78,739 per month, suffered severe head injuries and is now bedridden. His medical expenses alone amounted to ₹12 lakh. Arun filed a claim of ₹2 crore, citing permanent disability and loss of livelihood. The car's driver and owner denied the accident, alleging collusion with police. The insurer, New India Assurance Co. Ltd., argued that the accident was caused by the negligence of the Activa rider, who was triple riding without a valid license. However, the tribunal found Veer—a key eyewitness and FIR author—credible. Supporting documents, including medical records and mechanical reports, further strengthened Arun's case.

PO on the mic: Singer who called govt house a jail busted after 10 years

1 2 Chandigarh: Declared a proclaimed offender in 2016, Sirsa resident Jagsir Singh evaded police for nine years by constantly changing his location and identity. However, his run ended with a dramatic revelation on Wednesday — he is Punjabi singer Baaz Sran, who just two months ago released a song likening a 'Sarkari Kothi' (govt residence) to a jail. In an irony of sorts, the lyrics of the song 'Sarkari Kothi' — which has 13 lakh views on YouTube — go: 'Jattan di sarkari kothi hundi jail kuddey (The official residence of Jatts is jail, lady).' Sran, who has 32,600 followers on Instagram and has sung duets with female singers like Deepak Dhillon and Gurlez Akhtar, was arrested by the Chandigarh zonal unit of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with the alleged seizure of 36kg opium in 2015. Sran hails from Malikpura village in Haryana's Sirsa district. An official privy to the case said Baaz himself penned the lyrics and composed his songs. In May 2025, NCB published Jagsir's details in leading newspapers and announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for information leading to his arrest. Based on inputs received thereafter, he was arrested on Wednesday, the NCB said in a statement. The statement added: "During his absconding period, he gained popularity as a singer on social media platforms like YouTube and Instagram, amassing millions of views under a different identity. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Learn More - How Donating Plasma May Boost Your Income SpellRock Undo " At the time of his arrest, Sran was accompanied by a woman, said an official. The official added that a co-accused in the opium seizure had already been convicted. The official added that though Sran had was facing a drug seizure case, he did not consume them. "He is a fitness freak. He had just finished running and was exercising when we nabbed him. While he was involved in the drugs case and promotes drugs and weapons in the songs, he himself does not consume drugs," added the official. 'Sarkari Kothi': A song about life of crime In the song 'Sarkari Kothi', Baaz Sran has also penned lyrics about facing charges under the Arms Act and an 'attempt to murder' charge against him. The lyrics go: "25, 54, 59 laggi naal 307 de ni, jail diyaan baahlian likhiyaan karman vich jatt de di (I have been charged with sections 25, 54 and 59, along with Section 307. A long stay in jail is written in Jatt's fate)."

1 2 Nagpur: An 80-year-old homeopathy doctor and his 70-year-old wife, who were battling health issues and rued unfulfilled dreams for their family, allegedly consumed poison in a suicide pact at their residence at Samarth Nagari in Sonegaon police station limits on Tuesday. The doctor, Gangadharrao Harne, was declared dead at AIIMS Hospital while his wife Nirmala was rushed to a hospital in Ambazari in a critical condition. The couple, who lived alone, left behind three suicide notes detailing their struggles, said police. While two suicide notes were meant for their son and married daughter. In the third note, left behind for police, the couple requested that no one should be held responsible or blamed for their drastic decision. Police said the incident came to light around 8am when a neighbour called Shilpa Harne, the couple's daughter-in-law who resides in Bhilai. She immediately alerted Nirmala's brother, Raju Tivaskar, a 56-year-old furniture businessman from Srihari Nagar. Tivaskar rushed to the couple's residence, where a crowd had already gathered, and found Gangadharrao lying unconscious on the porch, with froth coming out from his mouth. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 25 Simple Plant Hacks You'll Wish You'd Learned Sooner Learn More Undo There were two plastic glasses nearby, indicating poison consumption.
