Jo Wood is "beyond proud" of her son Tyrone.
The 70-year-old musician was among the stars at the closing gala for Thirty Six For Coral - an exhibition and auction by her son's The Coral Collective/Project Zero initiative, which raised funds for coral reef conservation - in the South of France on Friday (20.06.25) and she was very impressed by the event.
She said: "I am so glad to be here tonight supporting my son Ty. I am beyond proud of him and he has put together an unbelievable event all in aid of supporting coral reef preservation. Walking around the Thirty Six For Coral exhibition and looking at all of the works on display from massive talents like OSGEMEOS, RETNA and Dustin Yellin, really brings home just how powerful art can be! I love it all and the colour of the pieces really speaks to how vibrant coral reefs are."
Other guests at the event included Made in Chelsea star Oliver Proudlock, Too Hot To Handle's Kori Sampson, Viking's Katheryn Winnick, and Rolling Stones musician Bernard Fowler, financier Michel De Carvalho, and international artists such as RETNA
A live auction of 10 of the 36 pieces in the exhibition took place, led by renowned auctioneer Michael Macaulay, and global bidding for the remaining 26 is open online at coralcollective.basta.app until 22 June, with proceeds directly supporting critical coral reef protection and restoration projects around the world.
The closing gala came a week after Princess Eugenie, Project Zero's Global Ambassador, launched the exhibition at an exclusive preview event attended by Monaco's Prince Albert.
Eugenie said of the initiative: 'Despite occupying less than 1% of the seabed, coral reefs support 25% of all life in the ocean, and one billion people around the world depend on coral reefs for food and jobs. I'm pleased to be supporting Thirty Six for Coral, an important art exhibition that will help connect more people to the irreplaceable value of coral reefs, and raise essential funding to help protect and restore them for future generations.'
Tyrone added: 'Thirty Six For Coral brings together some of the most visionary artists to spotlight one of the planet's most urgent environmental issues. Coral reefs are nearing functional extinction in our lifetime, but we still have time to act - and we hope this initiative inspires people to do just that.'

‘I don't think it's fair to criticise them': Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie ‘told to get jobs'

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have reportedly garnered sympathy in their social circles amid fresh criticism of their parents Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson in a bombshell new book. Veteran royal biographer Andrew Lownie is the author of the new book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, a warts-and-all account of the Yorks' marriage and three decade partnership. The book includes embarrassing revelations about the Duke of York's sex life, as well as unprecedented new information about his business dealings while working as a British trade envoy. In the book, Mr Lownie outlines how the Duke of York even shoehorned his daughters into official trips and business deals in the Middle East. Those connections allegedly came in handy when Beatrice and Eugenie launched their own professional careers, with both sisters making frequent trips to the oil-rich gulf states for appearances and partnerships. As non-working royals, Beatrice and Eugenie are entitled to earn their own living like their cousins Prince Harry, Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips. Beatrice, 37, has set up an AI business in the tech sector while Eugenie, 35, is a director at art gallery Hauser and Wirth. According to sources close to the sisters, the new book has garnered sympathy for the Princesses, who are seen as 'collateral' damage amid their parents' scandals. 'All they have ever done is stand by their parents in the most horrific public circumstances,' a source close to the Princesses told The Daily Beast's Tom Sykes. 'I don't think it's fair to criticise them for (their parents). 'They're sweet girls who understand that they are immensely privileged, and have always been grateful for the privilege they've had, and have tried to use it to do the right thing.' The source also defended the Princesses for earning their own money and pointed out the monarchy does not financially support either Beatrice or Eugenie. 'They were told to get jobs by the firm and they did that, so it seems unfair to attack them for making money,' the source said. While the York sisters are not full-time royals, it is understood the sisters both have grace-and-favour apartments inside the royal palaces, with costs met by their uncle King Charles.

'Completely forgot about this': Mike Tindall sparks fresh controversy over cheeky swipe at wife Zara and Princess Eugene's Jubilee outfits

Mike Tindall has reflected on a cheeky throwback post poking fun at his wife Zara Tindall and her cousin Princess Eugenie's bold outfit choices. The 46-year-old former England rugby star took to Instagram on Monday to reshare a snap from the late Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June 2022- specifically, the National Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral. Zara, 44, stood out in a vibrant pink Laura Green London dress with a Juliette Millinery hat, while Eugenie, 35, turned heads in a bold orange Emilia Wickstead number. Tindall, never one to miss a moment of fun, created a collage of the royal cousins and cheekily added images of pink and orange Starburst lollies, drawing a playful comparison to their outfits. He captioned the original post: "When you combine your favourite Starbursts!! 2 world-class ladies!! #starburst #platinumjubilee." At the time, fans were quick to embrace the joke. "The cutest Starbursts ever!!!" one follower wrote, while another chimed in, "Haha, they really do look like Starbursts." Others praised the women's style and humour, with one fan commenting: "Zara was the BEST DRESSED ROYAL." While Eugenie didn't interact publicly with the post, Tindall recently brought it back to light via his Instagram stories, admitting he had "completely forgot about this photo!!!" Despite the jab, the Tindalls share a close bond with Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank. The families are often seen together at royal events, including this year's Royal Ascot and May's Buckingham Palace Garden Party. Neither Zara nor Eugenie are full-time working royals. Zara continues to thrive as a professional equestrian, famously winning silver at the 2012 Olympics, while Eugenie has spent more than a decade as an associate director at prestigious art gallery Hauser & Wirth. Both women juggle their careers with motherhood: Zara shares three children, Mia, 11, Lena, seven, and Lucas, four, with with Mike, while Eugenie and Jack have two sons, August, four, and Ernest, two. Though they typically steer clear of commenting on royal tensions, Zara recently made a rare statement about her cousin Prince Harry's strained relationship with the family. "It is very hard to see from the outside, but 100 per cent, it is a family that is still going through the same struggles other people do," she said in May, as reported by The Sun. "Whether they are relationships, obviously, it is very easy to see every day. We're still very supportive of each other." Zara and Mike have remained loyal to the monarchy, and reports suggest they've distanced themselves from Harry and his American wife, Meghan Markle, following their public fallout with King Charles III. Elsewhere, Tindall praised her late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II as an "inspiration to all". "We had a very incredible person to look up to who is sadly not here anymore," she said. "She was amazing and an inspiration to all of us."
