Bert, played by Suranne, is fresh from a spell in a Spanish prison but hellbent on one final, multi-million-pound art heist so calls on old pal Sam (Whittaker).
The six-parter, which will air later this year on ITV, was filmed in Spain in January and also stars Karan Gill, Christian Cooke and Talisa Garcia.
It was created by Suranne and Maryland's Anne-Marie O'Connor, who wrote the script.
Suranne said: 'We took the idea of toxic female friendship and turned it on its head to give the heist genre an emotional heartbeat.
"I have always wanted to work with Jodie, and now I am. I hope you love Bert and Sam and all they get up to as much as we do."

The pair – pals since drama school 40 years ago – filmed an episode of ITV's DNA Journey together in 2023, which saw them tour the UK exploring their family histories.

Of Line Of Duty returning he said: 'We're all kind of waiting on the BBC to say 'Yay, it's all happening, let's go'. They'll make some kind of statement sometime.
But he admitted: 'I'll need to lose a bit of weight to get back into the uniform.'

Baby joy for Calvin Harris and Vick Hope

DJ Calvin Harris has welcomed his first child with his wife, BBC radio presenter Vick Hope, and described his wife as a "superhero". The 41 year-old One Kiss musician, shared the news on social media that their son, Micah, was born on July 20. The DJ posted a series of photographs on Instagram on Monday along with the caption: "20th of July our boy arrived. Micah is here!" The Summer musician added: "My wife is a superhero and I am in complete awe of her primal wisdom! Just so grateful. We love you so much Micah." The comments section was flooded with congratulations from fans around the world as well as fellow musicians including Jade Thirlwall and Craig David. Some comments expressed surprise at the choice of photographs the DJ shared which included what appears to be the before and after shots of the placenta, the organ which forms in the womb during pregnancy, before it was steamed, dehydrated and ground into pills to be consumed. Consuming one's own placenta, known as placentophagia, remains a debated practice with some claiming it offers health benefits. Among the supporters was singer Becky Hill who posted in the comments: "Love to see the placenta!! Amazing we grow a whole new organ to provide life! Good job not wasting it either, that's some goddess magic right there!" Hope, 35, is best known for presenting the BBC Radio 1 drivetime show Going Home. She reportedly married the Dumfries-born DJ in 2023. He is behind the hit number one songs Sweet Nothing, Summer, and Promises.

Love Island 2025 winners crowned during season 12 final

Toni Laites and Cacherel 'Cach' Mercer have been crowned the winners of ITV's Love Island 2025. The first American bombshell on the UK reality TV series and the professional dancer beat Shakira Khan, 22, from Burnley, and footballer Harry Cooksley, 30, who came second. Electrical engineer Jamie Rhodes, 26, came third with commercial banking executive Yasmin Pettet, 24, while Angel Swift, a 26-year-old aesthetics practitioner who entered the villa as a bombshell, came in fourth place with site engineer Ty Isherwood, 23. Host Maya Jama revealed the winning couple for season 12 of the reality dating show during Monday night's live final. After their names were called, Toni embraced Cach before she thanked the British public for voting for them. Prior to the reveal Toni confirmed that Cach told her he loved her the night before – and that she had said it back. Along with the 2025 title, the couple also took home a £50,000 cash prize. Earlier in the episode the Love Island couples exchanged emotional words to one another. Toni, who was visibly emotional when making her speech, told Cach: 'I don't think I tell you enough, but the way you treat me has made this whole wacky ass experience worth it. 'I think everyone has seen how happy you've made me, and I feel like a different person. I'm just really thankful to be here with you. 'I don't think anyone's ever treated me as good as you do so thank you. You make me feel like a queen.' Cach replied: 'I'm proud of you. You're gonna make me cry. You're so unapologetically yourself. It makes it so easy for you to operate the way I operate. 'I feel like our journey has been a roller coaster. I'm grateful for every moment. 'I don't think I could have done it with anybody else, to be honest with you, and I appreciate you.' Shakira told Harry that he was 'everything' she could want in a partner. She added: 'It's been an amazing last week and I'm excited for the future.' Harry replied and said: 'People say days are like weeks in here, but it really felt like I've known you a lifetime, and I'm so excited for the future, and I'll make so much time for you on the outside. 'My priorities have definitely shifted. You are my priority in life right now, so long may that continue.' Yasmin told Jamie that he became her 'sense of calm'. 'I don't tell you enough, but I'm so genuinely appreciative of you and everything you've done for me in here because my journey would be so, so shit without you,' she added. Jamie replied: 'Every day, I get a feeling of wanting to be around you more and more and knowing that this journey is coming to an end, that we won't be able to spend every second with each other, it's gonna make me really miss this place, but I know that on the outside world, we've got some great things coming.' Angel recalled having a 'spark' with Ty from the very beginning, adding that he is 'so thoughtful'. She said: 'I can't wait for outside life with you. I literally couldn't be happier.' Ty replied: 'I want to thank you and the Love Island gods for sending you in. 'I kind of didn't know where I was, and kind of lost myself a bit. I couldn't find my feet and I feel like you came at the perfect time.' Previous Love Island winners have included Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti (Season 8), Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer (Season 4), Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies (Season 3), who have since split up. Couples who, despite not winning, remain together include Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen (Season 2), Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury (Season 5) and Dami Hope and Indiyah Polack (Season 8).
