How the NFL's new uniform policy could impact the Seahawks

The NFL has announced a new uniform policy for the 2025 season, and I have a feeling fans across the league are going to be happy about it. On Monday afternoon it was announced that teams are now allowed to wear their throwback and alternate uniforms up to four times this year. Previously, teams were limited to only three games with their throwbacks/alternates.
Of course, with this news, there's likely one thing on the mind of the 12th Man: more opportunities to see the royal blue throwbacks in action!
The Seahawks wore their beloved throwbacks twice last season. They made their season debut in the 26-20 victory over the Denver Broncos in Week 1, and they re-appeared during a 36-24 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6. The only reason why Seattle did not opt to wear these threads a third time is because they decided to wear the all-Action Green alternates for a Sunday Night Football contest against the Green Bay Packers in Week 15.
Rules regarding the usage of a third helmet were also loosened, but that does not apply to the Seahawks as of right now. Seattle currently only has their typical navy helmet, and their silver throwback.
Adding an extra game to bust out a throwback or alternate jersey will obviously allow teams to fully maximize their entire wardrobe, and bring versatility to the field. While fans will surely be pining for another game with the throwbacks (I won't complain) I personally would like to see Seattle use the opportunity to wear the Action Green jersey again. One of my favorite combinations in the Seahawks uniform rotation is the Action Green jersey paired with their navy pants. It was a look we did not get to see last year, and have not seen since Week 15 of the 2022 season.

Angels fans boo Cal Raleigh after home run No. 26
The post Angels fans boo Cal Raleigh after home run No. 26 appeared first on ClutchPoints. Gold Glove catcher Cal Raleigh got the Seattle Mariners on the board early against the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday. Raleigh hit a three-run bomb off Jack Jochanowicz in the first inning. It was his 25th home run of the season. He then went yard again late in the game. Advertisement Raleigh extended his major league home run lead by blasting his second shot of the contest off closer Kenley Jansen in the ninth inning. The fifth-year pro crushed a 93 mph sinker 427 feet to right center for his 26th homer of the season, which elicited boos from Angels fans, per Daniel Kramer on X. Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh keeps crushing baseballs Kirby Lee-Imagn Images Raleigh is putting together an MVP-caliber season for the Mariners. While New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge is still favored to win his third American League Most Valuable Player Award this year, Raleigh has made it a conversation. The 28-year-old backstop is slashing .272/.380/.655 with 26 home runs, 53 RBI, 44 runs scored, an OPS+ of 194 and 3.8 bWAR in 63 games for the Mariners. Now widely considered the best catcher in baseball, Raleigh presents an almost unfair advantage with elite defense and prolific offensive production. Advertisement Unfortunately, Raleigh's significant contributions haven't helped the Mariners in the win column of late. Despite his two-homer, four-RBI output against the Angels Saturday, Seattle lost 8-6. The team has now lost five straight games and eight of the last 10. The Mariners are 32-31 on the season and 3.5 games behind the first-place Houston Astros in the AL West. Making matters worse, center fielder Julio Rodriguez was forced to leave the game with an injury in the third inning. He was hit by a Randy Arozarena grounder while attempting to steal third base. The ball caught Rodriguez flush and he appeared to be in a great deal of pain before exiting the matchup. The team listed Rodriguez as day-to-day following the injury. Seattle signed Raleigh to a six-year, $105 million extension prior to the 2025 season. That deal looks like a bargain considering the incredible campaign Raleigh is having. Now the Mariners must decide if they want to go all in on this season by adding at the trade deadline or if they'll hold firm and play things out with their current roster. Vikings CB Isaiah Rodgers embracing fresh start and preparing for bigger role in Minnesota
Minnesota Vikings cornerback Isaiah Rodgers missed the 2023 NFL season because of a gambling suspension. Last season, he won a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles. Now, Minnesota's newest cornerback is getting ready for a bigger role. "Just enjoy the process while it's here," said Rodgers at mini-camp earlier this week. "Do whatever I can do to help the team win and bring a Lombardi to Minnesota." Rodgers may not have made as many national headlines when he signed with the Vikings this offseason. But if all goes according to plan, he'll be a starting cornerback and make a big impact this fall. At least that's what Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores wants. "He just wants me to be me," said Rodgers, of Flores. "That's one of the reasons why I came here. He just wants me to go out there and use my ball skills and use my knowledge to make plays." Rodgers, 27, will be paired with pro-bowler Byron Murphy. It's only been a few weeks, but the two corners have quickly become friends. "We play the game a lot," said Rodgers. "We ask each other about film. You know, how he sees this, how I see it. We switch from boundary to field. So we're just having fun with the scheme and figuring each other out." "I'd say that's my best friend already," said Murphy. "That's my dawg. Obviously just met him when he got here. But we're already playing games online, we got 2K, all those things. He's a great guy, great teammate. But that bond's already there." And it turns out that bond and their back-and-forth competition could result in a few more Vikings turnovers. Murphy had six interceptions last year, third best in the NFL. "A lot of plays on the ball. A lot of interceptions. He dropped a lot, though, "laughed Rodgers. "He's supposed to have at least 10-plus. So, just trying to get in that stat category with him and compete." "I dropped like five or six," smiled Murphy. "I don't know the exact number, but I gotta go make up for it this year for sure." Rodgers figures to factor in the return game, too. He has one career kickoff return for a touchdown so far, which happened in 2020. Along with many other Vikings, he took reps at that spot during OTAs and minicamp. WCCO asked Rodgers if he sees that being part of his job this season. "Anything to help the team. Just having fun out here. Enjoying the process too."
