One of the best fights in the history of WrestleMania is the one between The Rock and
Hulk Hogan
during WrestleMania X8. The show was headlined by Chris Jericho vs Triple H, but it was the Rock-Hogan fight that ended up being the cherry on that pie. Recently, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross made some surprising revelations about that particular event and that particular fight. He said that Stone Cold Steve Austin refused to fight Hogan during that event leading the company to make a change of plans. On his 'Grilling JR' podcast, Ross said:
'He [Stone Cold] didn't think they had chemistry.
He thought the match would suck. And he wasn't going to stand for having a sucky main event, especially at a WrestleMania. So that's the story there. It wasn't anything — it had nothing to do about the finish, or what could the finish be, or what would the finish be, whatsoever."
The Rattlesnake, who shared a tribute to The Hulkster after his recent passing, refused to fight against Hogan because he didn't think they could produce something good.

Jim Ross says Stone Cold was a perfectionist
Well, fans already know Stone Cold Steve Austin has been a perfectionist from Day 1. But that became the main reason behind his refusal to fight The Hulkster during WrestleMania X8. Ross, during the podcast, further said:
"It had to do with what Steve wanted — he was a perfectionist.
He wanted to have a great match, not a good match, but a great match. And he simply thought he could not get that done, Stone Cold versus Hogan.'
Though the event wasn't affected by Stone Cold's decision, and the fight between The Rock and
Hulk Hogan
ended up being one of the best fights in WWE history, fans of wrestling never got to see these two heavyweights come together for a big match. Hogan recently passed away at the age of 71, leaving fans of the wrestler devastated all over the world.
