Shakira's viral stage fall: when the Queen of Dance turns a tumble into triumph

Colombian singer Shakira has gone viral on social media after she fell on stage while performing in Canada last week for her "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour."
Fans at the concert captured the multi-award-winning singer starting her performance and dancing to her 2001 hit song "Whenever, Wherever."
However, things seemingly did not go to plan after she lost her balance and fell to the ground.
Like the icon she is, the 48-year-old quickly stood up in style and continued performing, which made the fall look like a part of the dance routine.

Fans were impressed by how she handled the fall and the way she also stood up quickly.
A fan wrote: 'Shakira fell, served floor work, and kept it moving. The stage belongs to her.'
'The way she continued as if nothing happened. That's professionalism babe,' another fan said.
While another fan added: 'The way she turned it into a choreo.'
The 'Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)' hit-maker also joked about her fall, and a fan, who screen-recorded her Instagram story, shared a clip of it on X.
Shakira captioned her Instagram story, 'Comme je dis… personne n'échappe aux chutes! Es que de las caídas nadie se salva,' which translates to 'Nobody escapes falls.'

However, this is not the first time that she has experienced a mishap since she embarked on her world tour.
According to 'People', the singer cancelled her show in February due to experiencing abdominal issues.
She took to Instagram to let her fans know that she is cancelling one of her shows in Peru because she got hospitalised.
'I am sorry to inform you all that last night I had to go to the ER for an abdominal issue and am currently hospitalised.
'I am very sad to not be able to take the stage today,' she wrote on her Instagram stories.
Shakira embarked on her 7th world tour in February in support of her 12th studio album 'Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran', which was released in 2024.
