Howard Stern's Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze Bet
As a quick recap, the two didn't actually start dating until they worked together again in 2000, when they played love interests in the Scooby-Doo movies. But after that, things moved pretty quickly. Sarah and Freddie got engaged in 2001, and then married in 2002. They welcomed their first child, Charlotte, in 2009, and a son, Rocky, in 2012.
And on Monday, they appeared to be more in love than ever as they walked the red carpet for the new I Know What You Did Last Summer sequel, which Freddie stars in.
Needless to say, hopeless romantics everywhere were obsessed to see the couple still standing strong almost 30 years after the first movie brought them together.
But as fans fawned over their love story on a pop culture Reddit forum, it didn't take long for Freddie's 2001 interview with Howard Stern to come up. Suffice to say, it has not aged well.
In the interview, which took place shortly before Freddie and Sarah got married, Howard warns the actor that the relationship 'won't last.'
'So, you will marry [Sarah] even though you know that it won't last?' Howard began, going on to tell then-25-year-old Freddie: 'You think you gonna know how you feel at 35? You're going to be a completely different dude.'
'And she will be a completely different woman, but it's all good,' Freddie breezily replied.
'And you will probably talk to each other through lawyers!' Howard's cohost Robin Quivers added. Howard later told Freddie: 'I want to make a written bet with you now: In about 10 years, you're gonna hunt me down and go: 'Howard, I owe you money.''
He then bet Freddie $1 million that he and Sarah won't stay together for longer than five years.
Both Freddie and Sarah have acknowledged Howard's bet over the years. In a 2016 interview with Build, Freddie said: 'He bet me a million dollars that we would break up in under five years… You have not paid that bet, young man!'
And on their 20th wedding anniversary, Sarah posted the interview to her Instagram story, and wrote: '@SternShow I think you owe us.' Freddie reposted this at the time, joking: 'She will not forget.'
So, it's pretty unsurprising that it has resurfaced again amid Sarah and Freddie's latest loved-up display, with a popular Reddit comment reading: 'they are a living embodiment of howard stern being wrong about everything so i have no choice but to be a fan.'
'Did he ever pay FPJ?' somebody else asked, while another wrote: 'he was acting like they were 19 and had literally no idea what they were doing.'While one more mused: 'I hate when people who's relationship fell apart project that everybody else will also have a relationship fall apart.'Others just couldn't help but gush over the long-lasting celeb couple, with one person writing: 'They appear to be a blessed couple. They still look great and they appear to be enamored with each other.' While somebody else concluded: 'The way she looks at him 😭 This is the celebrity relationship I'll always root for, I wish all the happiness for them.'

16 Early Internet Websites Only Millennials Remember
Recently, Redditor u/Toomad316 asked those in the Reddit community to share the early internet sites from their childhood that kids these days will never know, and even as a '98 baby, I don't remember some of these! That said, I'm curious to know: do you remember these websites? " —TheTeaSet66"I really wish the old Candystand was still around. I want to play Lifesavers mini-golf again for the nostalgia. I still remember learning about it in study hall because a teacher let one of the football stars play Candystand mini-golf on the smart board. I went home and immediately pulled it up on the family PC to start my own addiction to Candystand. They had so many great games I could play that were way more fun than writing a 20-page Shakespearean tragedy."—Scribe625 "StumbleUpon." —Professional-Sir7115"StumbleUpon was such a gem. I don't know if it was because the internet was smaller back then, but it was so much easier to find diverse, but quality content. These days, it feels like we're stuck to platforms that provide specific types of content and little control over the algorithm."—LostPhenom "I Can Has Cheezburger. I wasted many hours on there." —Majestic-War-7925To jog your memory a bit, this website was known for popularizing cat memes, typically with intentionally misspelled text called "LOLSpeak." " RIP Adobe Flash." —samxmariexThis website was a destination for a bunch of entertaining, flash-based games that anyone could play. But when Adobe Flash Player ceased to exist, became unusable. "Homestar Runner." —anony1911The Homestar Runner website launched in 2000, featuring the Flash-animated web series where people could play games and watch animations. "The old Cartoon Network website. It was a treasure trove of games. I, for one, had a blast making my own Codename: Kids Next Door ID and printing it at my mom's office. Color and all." —vanvonhunter "Napster. The original." —jkb1023jbNapster launched in 1999 and allowed users to download MP3s from other people's hard drives, essentially creating a free online music library. "Addicting Games." —RazzleDazzle1537Addicting Games was a website full of, well, addicting games. From action games, puzzles, mystery games, and more, this site was a go-to for many who were looking to pass the time. "MapQuest." —Pure_Chain5903Before Apple Maps or Google Maps, there was MapQuest. This site gave you directions, but you had to print the directions out or write them down. Oh, and there was no "reroute" option back then, either. "Ask Jeeves." —Thayes1413"ChatGPT is what I thought Ask Jeeves was going to be like in middle school."—C-Fifth "LiveJournal." —Last-Temporary-2877"I kept mine from 2002 all the way to 2023. It's wild seeing all those years represented at the top of the archive page!"—Imaginary-List-4945 The obvious one is MySpace." —BertKekticWidely considered to be the OG of social media, MySpace was a platform where users could create and customize their own profile, upload pictures, make friends, and just post updates about their lives. "GeoCities." —RogueWedgeGeoCities allowed people to create and publish their own websites. The site would place the different websites into "neighborhoods," even giving them special "street addresses." "Neopets." —BlackaandWhite2024Neopets was a virtual game launched in 1999 where users can adopt, customize, and interact with creatures called Neopets in the world of Neopia. "LimeWire. Is this file an album? Is it a virus? Is it porn? Let's find out!" —ImissyoudarlinSimilar to Napster, LimeWire allowed users to share and download files (music, movies, etc.) from other users for free. Lastly: "eBaum's World." —DaveyMuldowney"Reddit before Reddit. Until I realized they were just reposting shit from other sites. But yeah, all of those early 2000s memes? I got them from eBaum's."—sckurvee I honestly miss the old Cartoon Network, Disney Channel, and Nickelodeon websites so much! I used to play That's So Raven pinball for hours. What's a website from your childhood that kids nowadays know nothing about? Let's talk about it in the comments, or you can anonymously submit your stories using the form below!

Burning Questions Fans Want Answered at the Love Island USA Season 7 Reunion
Source: Courtesy / Peacock After a season full of shocking recouplings, social media controversies, and one of the most chaotic Casa Amor twists yet, viewers are dying to know what really went down behind the scenes and where the couples stand now. From messy breakups to undercover secrets, unanswered questions have kept Reddit and X threads alive all summer. The reunion is set for August 25 at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT on Peacock and hosted by Ariana Madix and Andy Cohen. Fans are hoping for some clarity, drama, and maybe even a few surprises. Will some Islanders finally come clean on their true feelings? Will fan-favorite couples survive the spotlight? And will the most talked-about contestants even show up? Here are the biggest questions fans are hoping get answered when everyone's back under one roof: Did Chris throw the finale on purpose? Chris seemed completely checked out during the finale — and even dumped Huda at the very last minute. Was he trying to avoid the spotlight, or just avoid splitting the prize money? Their split didn't exactly shock fans (many were surprised they even made it to the top three), but what actually triggered the breakup? Both have given vague post‑Villa interviews, but viewers still aren't buying the story. Nicolandria: genuine love or a production play? Nic and Olandria have been inseparable since the Villa, at least online. But are they actually in love — or just playing along for the cameras and brand deals? Fans also want to know: what were Cierra's real feelings about their connection, especially since Movie Night (where receipts usually get aired) was skipped this year. Why was Movie Night skipped, and what really happened during the Heart Rate Challenge? Producers confirmed the fan‑favorite Movie Night segment was cut, but why? Were there clips that would've blown up too many relationships? And fans still want to see the uncut version of the Heart Rate Challenge, which sparked tension but clearly left out some big reactions. What really went down during the Stand On Business challenge? We all know the cameras don't show everything, and this challenge clearly rattled the Villa. What big arguments, shady answers, or walkouts got cut from the final edit? And who actually broke down once the cameras turned away? Did Nic actually have feelings for Cierra, or was he just playing it safe? Before Cierra's controversial exit over her resurfaced racist posts, she and Nic abruptly called it quits. But was Nic's connection with her ever real — or was he keeping her close just to stay in the game? Fans want him to finally tell the truth. Just how toxic did the Villa get during the Huda‑Jeremiah fallout? That fallout divided the Villa, with some Islanders saving Huda while others clearly regretted it. Does anyone now wish they'd handled it differently? And who still stands by their decision to back her? Did Taylor ever admit his true feelings for Olandria inside the villa, or just vent to the boys? Taylor's subtle flirting with Olandria didn't go unnoticed by viewers. But did he ever come clean to her about how he felt — or was he content keeping it between the boys and hoping no one else caught on? Victoria Pedretti Reveals She's Engaged to Ethan DeLorenzo: 'I'm Deeply in Love'
Victoria Pedretti and Ethan DeLorenzo are engaged! On Monday, July 21, the You actress, 30, revealed that she and the photographer have taken the next step in their relationship. 'It's no secret I'm deeply in love or that I'm engaged to Ethan. I tell everyone I meet,' she captioned a joint Instagram post with her fiancé. Their upload began with a single, close-up shot of DeLorenzo standing outdoors during a sunset looking toward the camera. The photo that followed was an image of the couple smiling as they hugged, gazing into each other's eyes in a parking lot. Another picture showed their shadows as they spent more time outdoors. Ahead of their engagement news, DeLorenzo posted an Instagram carousel featuring Pedretti to his feed on March 6. 'i'd lay on the cliff side during the apocalypse with you any day… expired polaroid film 💜,' he captioned the two-photo upload, which showed the Haunting of Hill House actress standing outside on a sunny day. DeLorenzo was previously engaged to Jena Malone. He and the Hunger Games: Catching Fire actress, 40, are parents to a son named Ode Mountain. Before their son was born, Malone shared a tribute to DeLorenzo on social media, praising him for the journey ahead. 'Thank you for being the living, breathing definition of a true partner," she wrote at the time. "Your sacrifice and dedication to the ones you love. Your patience and humor. Your warm heart. Your (sic) the best man I've ever met and I can't wait to watch you become what you were destined to become, an amazing father.' Pedretti previously sparked romance rumors with her You costar Dylan Arnold. The pair played Love Quinn and Theo Engler, respectively, on the hit Netflix thriller series. Their characters entered into a dangerously flirty relationship with each other in season 3. When photos of Pedretti and Arnold, now 31, hanging out together surfaced online in November 2021, reps for the stars did not respond to PEOPLE's request for comment. In March 2023, Netflix announced that the hit series was renewed for a fifth and final season. Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. While Pedretti's character did not return for the final installment, she told E! News in 2021 that the show's antagonist Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) was likely Love Quinn's "soulmate." "I do see them as soulmates," Pedretti said. "I think that they're uniquely capable of fulfilling each other's weaknesses, and their strengths are really there to support and uphold each other."
