Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle And AB de Villiers Groove To Saath Samundar Paar

A funnily edited video of the India and RCB legend dancing with his teammates on the 90s chartbuster song went viral over social media.
A hilarious video of Virat Kohli dancing with his former and current Royal Challengers Bengaluru teammates, including stalwarts AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle, went viral on social media. The legendary India and RCB player, known for his jovial avatar off the field, could be seen shaking his leg with his RCB friends in a video edited with the famous Hindi film song Saath Samundar Paar.
Blending Kohli's moments of fun and dance over the years with his RCB teammates into one amusing clip, this social media handle brought a smile to the great right-hander's passionate followers, who must be missing him in action amid a prolonged break since the end of the 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League.
Kohli-Gayle-ABD Trio Dance Their Hearts Out
Initially, in the funny video, one can see Kohli dancing with Gayle, De Villiers and even his former India teammate Yuvraj Singh. He then joins speedster Mohammed Siraj and RCB's famous anchor and mascot, Mr Nags, played by comedian Danish Sait. While funny, the clip beautifully captured how Kohli hasn't lost his child-like enthusiasm and love for the RCB setup despite spending 18 years with the team. The steps involved and the song from the 90s classic 'Vishwathma' made it a clip of great hysteria for those watching.
Kohli earned his biggest moment in RCB colours this summer as the great batter finally lifted the prestigious IPL crown after 18 long years of a painstaking wait. The 36-year-old put behind him years of setbacks and frustration and cut the most jubilant figure when he held the prized silverware with his teammates following a victory in the memorable final against Punjab Kings on June 3.
Kohli And RCB's Never-Ending Bond
While his RCB teammates always vowed to do it for him, Kohli contributed immensely to the team's success as well. The legend transformed from a dependable anchor to an impactful aggressor at the top of the order and blasted 657 runs in his 16 innings at a strike rate of 144.71 while retaining an average of 54.75. He closed out the season as the third-highest run-getter, behind only Sai Sudharsan (759) and Suryakumar Yadav (717).

Double Olympic Gold Medallist Viktor Axelsen Withdraws From BWF World Championships

Last Updated: Viktor Axelsen, double Olympic gold medallist, has withdrawn from BWF World Championships because of injury rehab. Double Olympic gold medallist Viktor Axelsen has withdrawn from the upcoming BWF World Championships, citing rehabilitation from injury. The tournament is scheduled to start on August 25 in Paris and the star Danish shuttler took to Instagram to inform of his absence. Axelsen has been out of competitive badminton since undergoing surgery three months ago to treat a herniated disc. Axelsen confirmed that he has not recovered in time to compete in the upcoming tournament in Paris. 'After careful consultation with my medical team, I've been advised to dedicate more time to my rehabilitation. As a result, I unfortunately won't be able to get tournament-ready in time to compete safely at the upcoming World Championships," Axelsen wrote on his Instagram story. 'While it's tough to miss such a big event, I'm not discouraged. On the contrary, I'm highly motivated to keep pushing forward with my rehab and set myself a new goal to come back stronger," Axelsen said. Axelsen, 31, hasn't competed on the tour since suffering a second-round exit at the European Championships in April. Axelsen started the year with a title victory at the India Open in New Delhi but faced a surprise first-round exit at the All England Open. Once ranked inside the top 5 earlier this year, Axelsen has now slipped to World No. 18. A world champion in 2017 and 2022, the star Danish shuttler was knocked out in the quarters by HS Prannoy at last year's edition of the tournament, held in Copenhagen. Axelsen will now shift his focus to a full recovery and plan his comeback with an eye on the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Having won gold in Tokyo and defended his title in Paris, Axelsen will now be aiming for a historic hat-trick in Los Angeles. From India, Lakshya Sen and HS Prannoy are expected to represent the country in the men's singles. tags : bwf world championships viktor axelsen view comments Location : New Delhi, India, India First Published: August 07, 2025, 20:42 IST News sports » badminton » Double Olympic Gold Medallist Viktor Axelsen Withdraws From BWF World Championships Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
