No joke! Kevin Hart has banned phones from his upcoming Australian comedy tour

Time Out17-07-2025
This is not a joke – Kevin Hart is bringing the laughs back to Australia this September. Whether you know him from his Hollywood days in blockbusters like Get Hard, Central Intelligence, Ride Along and Jumanji, or his hugely successful stand-up comedy career, Hart is a face and name recognised around the world. It's been a hot minute since the Emmy- and Grammy-nominated legend last performed in Oz with his stand-up special Reality Check, which Billboard named the number one Comedy Tour of 2022 and saw him become the highest-grossing comedian the year after.
Now, after a hugely popular run in the US and Europe, Hart is bringing his ninth stand-up special Acting My Age to Aussie shores this September – with arena shows locked in for Perth, Melbourne and Sydney. But this tour is all about the laughs, not the livestreams. Hart's banned phones from his shows, meaning you'll need to lock any devices (phones, smartwatches and accessories) in a Yondr pouch before entering the venue or risk getting kicked out. Here's everything you need to know about scoring tickets to Kevin Hart's Australian tour.
When is Kevin Hart coming to Australia?
The American blockbuster funnyman is bringing his Acting My Age tour to three Aussie cities, including:
Perth 's RAC Arena – Tuesday, September 23
Melbourne 's Rod Laver Arena – Thursday, September 25
Sydney 's Qudos Bank Arena – Friday, September 26
When do tickets go on sale for Kevin Hart's Australia tour?
The general public sale starts on Tuesday, July 22 at 12pm local time via Ticketek.
Is there a pre-sale for Kevin Hart's Australia tour?
You get not one, but two chances to snag tickets to Hart's tour before the giggle gates open to everyone. First up, the artist pre-sale kicks off on Friday, July 18 at 11am local time, followed by an exclusive pre-sale for My Live Nation members commencing on Monday, July 21 at 12pm local time.
How much are tickets to Kevin Hart in Australia?
Prices for Hart's 2025 Aussie shows are still being finalised, but with tickets for Hart's last tour starting at $119, it's safe to assume they'll be in that ballpark – or higher. We'll update you with prices once they're revealed.

Viewers lash out at 'boring' Logies ceremony amid rumours the awards night is 'on its last legs'

The Logie Awards got off to a glamorous start on Sunday night. But not everyone watching the telecast was impressed, with many viewers lashing out at the 'boring' awards show. Several people took to X to slam the annual ceremony and claim the Logies simply isn't relevant any more. 'No better confirmation that free to air TV is dying than the #Logies - a mixture of yesterday's celebrities and nobodies talking about themselves,' one person wrote. 'It's quaint how they still have the Logies - a dying medium celebrating mediocrity #Logies,' another said. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. A third commented: 'Dear Aussie media, no one gives a flying f*** about the Logies, regards, the Australian public.' 'Are the Logies even relevant anymore?' another questioned while one said: 'Geez the Logies have become so irrelevant.' 'In fairness the Logies are an embarrassment and have been for at least 30 years... Did you see the nominees for awards this year? Not a shred of talent to be seen,' one wrote. Another added: 'Sometimes I get mad about how much I pay for streaming services but then remember I don't have to endure torturous broadcasts like tonight's #Logies.' It comes after Daily Mail revealed the Logie Awards might not be back next year - or ever. A very high-level TV insider has revealed 'they're quietly rolling up the red carpet'. 'It's just not viable anymore. No one wants to pay for it, no one's watching, and the people behind it are already looking for an exit,' said the source. That 'exit' is apparently the upcoming fire sale of mags at Are Media - which owns TV Week and the Logies brand. The private equity firm backing Are Media, Mercury Capital, wants out after five years of underwhelming returns. The Logies red carpet used to host the likes of Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, One Direction, Ricky Martin and even Destiny's Child. 'You remember when the Logies had international stars, outrageous moments, drama?' said the insider. 'Now it's a glorified promo reel for local TV. It's like the Bogan Oscars. The big acts are gone - and so is the audience. 'It's Karl Stefanovic, Sonia Kruger, Hamish Blake - rinse and repeat. Boring! The audience is tired, the talent's recycled, and the networks aren't throwing cash at Logies campaigns like they used to.' The ratings have also plummeted as Seven - which reclaimed the Logies broadcast in 2023 after 28 years with Nine - has seen a 20 per cent drop in digital audience. 'Seven thought they were buying back a national treasure. What they got was a very expensive nostalgia trip,' the insider added.

Strictly Come Dancing's Dianne Buswell shares huge update on rumoured celebrity line-up

Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell has now added more weight to the rumours that former Neighbours star Stefan Dennis is joining the popular BBC dancing competition With just weeks until Strictly Come Dancing hits our screens once again, the rumour mill has gathered even more momentum as the celebrity line-up has become a subject of discussion among fans. And now, professional dancer Dianne Buswell has added more fuel to the rumours after lifting the lid on one person in particular, who may be joining this year's line-up. ‌ Step forward Australian actor Stefan Dennis, who is famed for his role as Paul Robinson in Neighbours. So far, it has been suggested that Stefan, former Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison, Stacey Solomon and former Coronation Street Helen Flanagan will be taking to the dancefloor this year. This comes after Cruz Beckham 'steals' his dad's tiny white trunks and family have epic response. ‌ ‌ While on her podcast Winning Isn't Everything, which she co-hosts with her dance partner from last year Chris McCausland, she let slip that she had heard Stefan was joining the BBC show. When asked by Chris who will be donning the infamous sequinned outfits, she responded saying: "I have no idea, Chris!" However, she hen continued: "I heard that there's going be someone from Neighbours, which would be sick! I would love to dance with an Aussie!" Chris replied: "I loved Neighbours when I was younger." ‌ Dianne went on to say: "That's what I've heard. Someone told me this. Was it you, actually? No, you didn't tell me. "Someone told me, 'Oh, word on the street is there's a guy from Neighbours that's gonna be in it'. And I was like, 'Oh, that would be sick! That would be so cool!'". Not realising the level of popularity associated with Paul in the UK, she asked Chris: "Is he a big deal? Was he popular?" ‌ Over the years, the BBC have done their best to freshen up the professional dancers line-up. And this year, the broadcaster confirmed that Amy Dowden, Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Gorka Marquez, and Luba Mushtuk, will be taking to the dancefloor for the show. In addition, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Michelle Tsiakkas, Aljaž Škorjanec, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Nikita Kuzmin and Vito Coppola will also be dancing on Strictly this year, too. ‌ Along with the more established dancers, two newcomers will also join the professional dancers; So You Think You Can Dance champion Alexis Warr and Australia's Dancing With The Stars' Julian Caillon. Last month, lead judge Shirley Ballas was confirmed to be resuming her role alongside Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke. Appearing on This Morning Shirley said: "What I can tell you is, we have two fabulous professionals coming and joining the show. They are amazing really. We've got some little changes there that you're going to be really surprised about, every year they make those few little changes and it's really, really, really amazing."
