Said Hill on Twitter: 'Should've left it up Colts, this was funny.'
Hill's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, separately told PFT via text message that Hill was genuinely amused about his depiction as a dolphin that was arrested by the Coast Guard.
'He laughed about it and didn't think they needed to take it down on his account,' Rosenhaus said.
The Colts publicly apologized to Hill, and privately communicated its regret to Hill, through Rosenhaus.
That's only part of the problem. The schedule-release video infringed on Microsoft's Minecraft rights without (unlike the Chargers) the company's permission.
As to the jokes, humor is subjective. (The video also included Patrick Mahomes as a frog and a mayo-guzzling Will Levis being run over by a Titans party bus.) As to the copyright infringement, there's no ambiguity. And it's stunning, frankly, that any NFL team would nonchalantly violate someone else's IP rights, given the league's obsession with protecting and enforcing its own.
It's also a bizarre unforced error by a multi-billion-dollar organization that is ostensibly buttoned up. In this case, the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing. And when the left hand found out, it got to work on undoing what the right hand had done.

Longhorns trio named to Chuck Bednarik Award watch list
Three Longhorns in the running for prestigious award With the start of the college football season only a few weeks away, the Texas Longhorns are making national headlines. On Monday, the talented trio of Anthony Hill Jr., Colin Simmons, and Michael Taaffe was named to the preseason watch list for the Chuck Bednarik Award. The award is given annually to the College Defensive Player of the Year. For many in Austin, the trio's inclusion on the watch list comes as no surprise. Over the last few years, they have made life difficult for offensive coordinators. This marks the second time that Hill is in the running for the Chuck Bednarik Award. In 16 games last season, Hill was one of the best at his position. He led the Longhorns in tackles with 103 and tackles for loss with 16.5. The Texas native also finished third on the team in sacks with eight while adding three double-digit tackling performances to his resume. Due to Hill's play, he earned national praise last October with Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week honors. As Hill was a human highlight reel, he got help from Simmons. In his freshman year, Duncanville High School led the Longhorns in sacks with nine. He also forced three fumbles and recorded 48 total tackles. Simmons proved to be an immediate star and made history. He became the first Longhorns player to win the Shaun Alexander National Freshman of the Year Award. Rounding out the list is Taaffe, who has become a fan favorite. The former walk-on added 78 tackles and two interceptions to his resume last year. He was also the only Longhorns player to record an interception and a forced fumble in the same game. In the postseason, he continued to thrive with a career-high 10 tackles in the Quarterfinal against Arizona State. Regardless of the opponents, Taaffe found a way to make an impact. While the trio's focus will be on helping Texas rack up as many wins as possible, they will also be watching how voting for the award plays out. On November 11th, the semifinalists will be revealed. A few weeks later, the three finalists will be announced before a winner is named on December 11th. The Longhorns are hoping to have a reason to celebrate when a new winner is crowned.

Injury update on Indianapolis Colts' CB Kenny Moore
After exiting Sunday's practice with an injury, ESPN provided an injury update on Colts' CB Kenny Moore. We don't have specifics at this time around the knee injury that Indianapolis Colts' cornerback Kenny Moore is working through. But ESPN's Stephen Holder did provide an update. Moore exited Sunday's training camp practice with a knee injury. However, on Monday, Holder would report that the early word is that this "is not a major injury." Holder added that there isn't any info on a timeline for Moore at this time, and details are still "murky." The Colts are navigating several injuries at the cornerback position. Justin Walley is out for the season after suffering an ACL injury in the team's joint practice with Baltimore. Jaylon Jones and JuJu Brents both remain sidelined with hamstring injuries. This has left uncertainty around who will be starting opposite of Charvarius Ward. Samuel Womack, Alex Johnson, and Johnathan Edwards are all in the mix for those snaps at this time. Moore has played over 1,000 defensive snaps in four of the last five seasons, mostly lining up at the nickel, and he came away with three interceptions in 2024 while holding pass catchers to just 9.1 yards per catch.

Microsoft bloodbath continues 9,000 layoffs later with the death of Contraband, the '70s co-op game from the studio behind open-world hit Just Cause, and it seems Hideo Kojima's OD is the only thing that's safe

Avalanche Studios has confirmed that development on Contraband, the Xbox-exclusive '70s co-op game, has ended. The news comes a month after mass layoffs at Microsoft affecting 9,000 employees, which included many in the gaming division and led to the cancellation of projects like Everwild and the long-delayed Perfect Dark. "Over the past several years, Avalanche Studios Group and Xbox Game Studios Publishing have collaborated on Contraband," the developer says in a statement. "Active development has now stopped while we evaluate the project's future. We're thankful for the excitement we've seen from the community since we announced and will give an update on what's next as soon as we can." Insiders Jason Schreier and Stephen Totilo both report that the end of development was a Microsoft decision, though they say other Xbox publishing agreements with third-party studios – including Hideo Kojima's OD – are still alive. "Microsoft declined to provide a comment on the game's fate," Totillo says in his Game File newsletter, "but a source familiar with the matter noted that production—which is now 'on hold'—had been ongoing for five years and that the company avoids cancellations as much as possible." Contraband was announced back at E3 2021 – yes, the announcement is old enough that E3 still existed – with a brief teaser trailer and the promise of "a co-op smuggler's paradise." Effectively zero details on how the game would play were ever revealed, but Avalanche's pedigree in open-world chaos with titles like Just Cause and Mad Max had many hopeful about the possibilities of the studio taking on a co-op game. But it seems we'll never see what the studio had in store.
