Bruno Fernandes reveals warning to any Man Utd stars who 'step out of line'
The Red Devils get their new Premier League campaign underway on Sunday as they host Arsenal at Old Trafford in the standout fixture of the opening weekend.
It is a huge test for Ruben Amorim's new-look side as they try to vastly improve on finishing 15th in the top flight last season.
There have been big changes at the club over the summer, with Amorim now boasting an entirely new forward line of Matheus Cunha. Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko.
There has also been work on outgoings, which continues to be done, as Marcus Rashford has left for Barcelona on loan, while negotiations to get rid of Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho and Anthony ongoing.

Fernandes feels there has been something of a reset on culture and attitude under Amorim, admitting that standards had slipped and players knew they could get away with not meeting expectations.
He says that is no longer the case and anyone not hitting the heights required under Amorim know they will face the consequences.
'The atmosphere in the pre-season tour was very good,' the Red Devils captain told Sky Sports. 'It was something the team probably needed, also for the ones who just came to the club. I can say that you feel a different atmosphere.
'We are all in the same path, in the same line. We know what we want from the season, where we have to go. We know the line we have drawn for ourselves and if someone steps out of that line, they're going to have consequences.
'I think that's a very important thing because in the past, we probably thought that even if you step outside the line a bit, you'll be okay. But now we've spoken, not only the manager, but the players have also spoken. We've said what is the minimum standard that we need and whoever steps out of this will have problems. Not only with the staff, but also with the teammates.'
Amorim has created as six-player leadership group within his squad, which includes Fernandes, Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez, Noussair Mazraoui and Tom Heaton.
Explaining his thinking behind the group earlier this summer, Amorim said: 'It's not just Bruno, it's not just Harry, it's six guys now. They are responsible for the group. There are some things that in the last year I had to deal with that.
'I said to them in this year, you deal with that. Small issues are with you guys. You are responsible. All these small changes, I think it's helping the group.
'We have Bruno, we have Licha, we have Harry, we have Diogo, we have Tom and we have Nous. So it's not just the oldest ones. Nous is in the group because he's a character that I like. And I try to understand the dynamic of the group and try to reach every space. They are the guys that are responsible to keep everyone in line.'
Fernandes expanded on this, saying that the six players were picked as they can influence every area of the squad. More Trending
'If you create this group of six players who can get into every small group in the dressing room, because it's normal to have more bond with some people than others, that will happen not only in football but in life,' said the Portuguese talisman. 'So, the way the manager chose the six players is that he knows he can get to every spot in the dressing room to get the best out of everyone.
'Obviously, everyone in that group has different ways of leading, different ways of dealing with problems. It was something I was doing in the past, but probably it gets to a point where my voice gets a little tiring for them, with always the same one talking. Having another five players with me talking and saying things will make things different.'
Amorim will be without two of his leadership group on the pitch on Sunday, with Mazraoui and Martinez out with injury, the former likely to be back at the end of this month, while the latter will not return until October, most likely.
However, there was better news on the injury front as goalkeeper Andre Onana is available after missing much of pre-season with a hamstring problem and Joshua Zirkzee is also fit.

What does Viktor Gyokeres' goal celebration mean? Story behind the 'mask'
Viktor Gyokeres has arrived at Arsenal this summer and is set to make his Premier League debut on Sunday, but will we see his famous goal celebration? The Sweden international has been prolific over the last two seasons with Sporting in Portugal, scoring a phenomenal 97 goals in 102 games across all competitions. The 27-year-old understandably attracted a lot of attention thanks to those goal-scoring exploits, with big clubs across Europe and further afield interested in his signature. It was a big coup for Arsenal to win the race for his signature, signing the Swede for €63.5million (£54.8m), plus €10m (£8.6m). He has played in England before, having turned out for Brighton, Swansea and Coventry, but this will be his first crack at the Premier League. Metro's new weekly football newsletter: In The Mixer. Exclusive analysis, FPL tips and transfer talk sent straight to your inbox every Friday – sign up, it's an open goal. Arsenal fans have high hopes for him and will hope to be replicating his iconic goal celebration as soon as possible. But why does the striker cover his face with his hands when he scores? When the new Arsenal man scores, he locks his fingers together and places his hands over his face. Gyokeres posted a compilation of goals and celebrations on Instagram during his time at Sporting, which had the caption: 'Nobody cared until I put on the mask 🎭' The line is a slight misquote from the Batman film The Dark Knight Rises, when the villain Bane says: 'It doesn't matter who we are, what matters is our plan. No one cared who I was till I put on the mask.' It's unlikely that Gyokeres is paying a tribute to Bane because he intends to blow up a city with a massive bomb, but you simply never know. What does seem clear is that the striker is a fan of the character portrayed by Tom Hardy in the 2012 blockbuster. Gyokeres has been pulling out the Bane celebration for some time, with Coventry fans treated to the move during his time with the Sky Blues. The Sweden international's last season with Coventry saw him score 21 goals in the Championship, which earned himself a move to Sporting. His new Arsenal teammate Myles Lewis-Skelly copyed the move when thereports of the transfer broke, showing he's been following his career. The Gunners youngster reacted to the news that a Gyokeres deal was imminent by putting both hands over his mouth in honour of the incoming forward. Former Arsenal star Anders Limpar, who was something of a mentor to his fellow Swede in Gyokeres' early years, reckons we will see plenty of the Bane celebration this season. More Trending 'He's such a prospect when it comes to looking after himself, no scandals, he is a hell of a player,' Limpar told fotbolldirekt. 'He's a No. 9, and can sniff a goal chance. He's going to be the perfect icing on the cake at Arsenal. 'And I don't have to look down on [Kai] Havertz, or [Gabriel] Jesus, but bringing in Viktor at this moment, at his best age and form. 'He's a goalscoring machine and with all the supply from the wings and from Odegaard, he's going to score 25 goals.' Leeds vs Everton prediction, best bets & predicted line-ups
Leeds play their first match back in the Premier League on Monday when they host Everton at Elland Road, and will be desperate to get off to a winning start (8pm, Sky Sports Main Event). The Whites were promoted back to the top flight with an impressive tally of 100 points, but they are certain to find life a lot tougher this season. Daniel Farke's side are among the favourites for relegation, according to the Premier League odds, along with the other two newly promoted sides of Sunderland and Burnley. Betting sites give the Whites the best chance of staying up of that trio, with 7/5 available on the Yorkshire side to go back down. The Toffees are 17/2 for the drop on football betting sites, but having been steered to safety by David Moyes upon his return to Merseyside, they'll be hoping to build on their finish of 13th. Everton could start the season off by going up against a familiar face with former Toffees striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin poised to move to Elland Road as part of Leeds' summer recruitment drive that has also seen them sign Sean Longstaff from Newcastle, who has joined for £12m. The 28-year-old ended his nine-year stay at Everton in June and is available on a free transfer. He's set to undergo a medical and could be involved in some capacity. Everton have also been busy with six new players coming in, including Jack Grealish on a season-long loan from Manchester City and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea, who signed a five-year contract. Everton are unbeaten in their last five matches against Leeds, dating back to November 2020 when Raphinha scored the only goal in a 1-0 win for Leeds at Goodison Park. The last two meetings at Elland Road have ended all square, with a 1-1 draw in August 2022. One year earlier, the match ended 2-2 when Leeds twice came from behind to earn a point. Leeds are marginal favourites for the win on betting apps, but bookmakers are clearly struggling to separate this pair based on the current football odds for the game. And there may not be much between these sides on the pitch at Elland Road. Moyes made his team a tough nut to crack after returning to Everton midway through last season and they should avoid defeat here. The Toffees have improved their attacking options during the summer with the signings of Grealish, Dewsbury-Hall and Thierno Barry so should have the firepower to get on the scoresheet. Leeds' opening fixtures have a tendency to produce a lot of goals and with Farke's side having lost just one of their last 28 league matches, these two could serve up an entertaining draw. Grealish to make the difference There was plenty of speculation surrounding the future of Grealish when it became apparent his future lay away from the Etihad. Everton were the first to take action, and Moyes got his man. His experience of winning, as well as his quality, will certainly help the Toffees. The England star cost £100m when he joined City in August 2021 and he made more than 150 appearances for the club - winning three Premier League titles, the Champions League and the FA Cup. He made no secret of his disappointment at the number of games he played last season, particularly in the Premier League, so he will relish the chance to play regularly at Everton. He has played Leeds nine times in his career; winning four, drawing three and losing just twice. He has also scored one and assisted with a further four goals against the Yorkshire side. His only goal came in a 7-0 win for City back in 2021 and Premier League betting sites are offering 12/1 on him scoring first on Monday and 21/4 on him scoring at any time. He will definitely feel like he has a point to prove, especially with the World Cup coming up next summer and we're backing him to make an instant impact for his new side.
