Hollyoaks hunk confirms new romance with huge Game Of Thrones star
Former Hollyoaks actor Nico Mirallegro appears to have officially unveiled his new relationship with Game of Thrones star Nell Tiger Free.
Nico is fondly remembered by soap enthusiasts as the troubled gothic teenager Barry 'Newt' Newton, who was at the centre of a highly praised schizophrenia storyline.
Globally, Nell is recognised for her role as the ill-fated Myrcella Baratheon in the HBO fantasy series, the daughter of arch-villain Cersei Lannister, who tragically succumbed to a revenge attack against her mother during the battle for the iron throne. It comes after Taylor Swift sparks engagement rumours as fans spot Travis Kelce's lock screen.
Now aspiring to establish herself as a musician, Nell seemingly spilled the beans first, sharing several charming clips on her TikTok page.
One video features her teasing her new beau about Mancunian slang, while another portrays him as the romantic lead in a mini-music video set to one of her original songs.
The duo were initially seen together when Nico supported Nell at the premiere of her play 'Thanks For Having Me' earlier this year.
Since then, they appear to have grown increasingly close, frequently featuring each other on their Instagram stories in recent weeks.
In addition to her blossoming romance, Nell has been occupied with her role in the Apple+ series, Servant.
Nico's portrayal of Newt and his struggle with schizophrenia garnered much acclaim between 2007 and 2010, and his career has continued to flourish since.
He played a main character in the dramedy 'My Mad Fat Diary' and last year, he featured in the Paramount Plus series, 'Stags'.
Nico has had quite the glow up from his days as Chester village's resident troubled teen. Leaving his awkward teenage years firmly behind, Nico can now be classed as a bona fide hunk. After ditching the bad dye job, heavy eye liner and lip piercing, Nico has gained legions of admirers thanks to his brooding roles in grown-up dramas.
The star has stayed busy since the show, and gone on to become a BAFTA-nominated actor, after receiving recognition for his role as Joe Middleton in BBC's The Village.
He also starred as Finn Nelson in My Mad Fat Diary, before appearing as as Timothy Evans in BBC series Rillington Place.
The three part drama based on the true story of serial killer John Cristie and the wrongful murder of Nico's character Evans.
The Manchester born star was later cast in the BBC film Murdered For Being Different in 2017 which told the true story of Rob Maltby.
But viewers will best know Nico for his role as the foster child of Frankie and Jack Osborne - who made an impression with his battle with schizophrenia and goth-inspired image.
After bagging his first TV role in 2007 Nico spent three years at the Channel 4 soap.
Despite quitting when he was just 18, Nico speaks fondly of his time in the long-running soap. "Hollyoaks is where I learnt a lot of the craft, being in front of a camera six days a week. . . . That's certainly an experience you don't get in drama school."

BBC Strictly Come Dancing in 'cocaine scandal' as probe launched into drug claims on set
The BBC is said to have launched an investigation into cocaine allegations made against two stars Strictly stars The BBC has reportedly engaged a leading law firm to probe allegations of cocaine use by two stars of Strictly Come Dancing, amid claims that their substance misuse was widely known on the show. It's been reported tonight that former contestants, professional dancers, and crew members are being asked to share any concerns they may have with solicitors at Pinsent Masons. The popular BBC series, which has been hit by numerous scandals in recent years, is now mired in controversy following drug use allegations submitted to the BBC in March by Russells Solicitors on behalf of a celebrity contestant. It's understood that more individuals have also made allegations of drug use on Strictly Come Dancing to the BBC, reports the Mirror. In a statement given to the Mirror, a spokesperson for the BBC said: "We have clear protocols and policies in place for dealing with any serious complaint raised with us. We would always encourage people to speak to us if they have concerns. It would not be appropriate for us to comment further." The Sun reports that one of the allegations involves a Strictly star who allegedly remarked on another person's dilated pupils, suggesting drug intoxication, by saying: "Have you seen their pupils . . . they're off their face". Moreover, The Sun has reported that a celebrity has claimed it's well-known within the show's circle that two stars were using cocaine, a topic reportedly widespread among the cast. An insider stated: "These claims are extremely serious and should be taken as such. Given only last year that the BBC's Director-General promised to clean up Strictly, it seems particularly shocking. "The idea of the show's stars discussing drug-taking is deeply disturbing. The BBC have known about these allegations for some time, and acknowledged receiving them." It's been reported that the state-funded broadcaster is "taking firm action". The development comes just weeks before the BBC officially unveils this year's Strictly Come Dancing cast. Every year, anticipation builds as fans eagerly await the line-up reveal and 2025 is shaping up to be no different. The rumour mill is in full swing, with speculation swirling around a wide range of potential contestants, including stars from reality television, soaps and even former athletes. Excitement is mounting, and while no appearances have been confirmed, the buzz surrounding their possible involvement has fans talking. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! BBC Breakfast's Nina Warhurst returns to show after family death as fans rush to support
BBC Breakfast star Nina Warhurst has made her return to the show after a heartbreaking family death BBC Breakfast presenter Nina Warhurst has returned to the programme after her father's passing. The popular morning show was back on air on Sunday (August 3) with Ben Thompson and Nina presenting together once again. It's been a tough period for Nina, who recently revealed that her father had passed away peacefully in a care home on July 2 after a prolonged struggle with dementia. Sharing a touching black-and-white image of her hand clasped with her father's, she penned: "My Dad died on Wednesday night. From Sunday me, my Mum and sisters spent precious time with him around the crying, laughing, sharing memories. On his last day we had nursing home afternoon tea, chippy chips and wine together. "He drifted away gently with me and Amy (Nina's sister) holding him and telling him to 'go head. We'll see you there soon.' And he did. I had my hand on his heart as the ripples softened and stopped.", reports the Express. "A gentle end to a gentle life. So much love and laughter and sunshine across days I'll never forget. He is in my mind all the time now as we adjust to a world without him in it. "I can't quite accept that's real yet. But we think it's really important for anyone going through this to know that the end can be peaceful and beautiful." Supporters immediately flooded Nina with messages of comfort at the time. One viewer commented: "Oh my darling, this is such sad news. He seemed like a beautiful soul." Another said: "So sorry, dear Nina and family. You did him proud. Always." However, a few weeks later and on Sunday, Nina was back on the famous red sofa on BBC Breakfast - and fans were more than chuffed to see her back. On X, one person penned: "Lovely to see Nina this morning." Nina's father Chris, had been diagnosed with mixed dementia, which is Alzheimer's and vascular dementia, in April this year, she spoke candidly about how his condition had affected her life. The mum-of-three penned in an Instagram post: "I don't think I really became a proper grownup until we had to look after my Dad. Because of dementia I lost the home I could go to and still be a child. I lost one of those few pillars of people who I knew would love me, whatever. I thought that support was lost. But now I know that just being with him is enough. I don't know if it's primal, hormonal, chemical, emotional….. but leaning my head on his chest and closing my eyes for a few minutes gives me the sense of safety and love that I've always had and that I still need." BBC Breakfast airs everyday from 6am on BBC One.
