Controversial EastEnders villain set to move to Emmerdale

The ITV soap has called on the services of Chris Coghill, best known for playing the evil paedophile Tony King in rival soap EastEnders.
His child sexual abuse storyline in the noughties marked the first time the subject matter had been broached in a UK soap opera, resulting in over 200 complaints from the public.
Despite that, it received praise for raising awareness about the hidden nature of sexual abuse.
Years later, Coghill will return to a different soap and start filming for his stint on the show this week.

A source told the Sun that the addition of Kev will bring in heaps of drama: 'Kev is a complicated character who's going to set the cat amongst the pigeons in the village.
'It's going to lead to some huge storylines throughout autumn when what he wants is revealed.'
Emmerdale Producer, Laura Shaw, said: 'We are delighted that someone of Chris' calibre has joined our cast.
'I think the viewers will be intrigued to see how the character of Kev will cause shockwaves this autumn.
'Kev has a strong connection to one of our characters and it's safe to say his arrival is going to be a massive surprise that will have major repercussions for some of our villagers.'

Paul Sinha of 'The Chase' shares emotional health update

ITV star Paul Sinha was brutally honest about his future in a new admission The Chase's Paul Sinha made a sobering confession about his future prospects during what was otherwise a hilarious performance at this year's Ealing Comedy Festival. ‌ Speaking from the stage this week, the ITV favourite opened up a bout his "progressive, degenerative neurological condition", Parkinson's Disease, describing it as a "tough diagnosis" to come to terms with. ‌ The devastating news had arrived just months after he'd walked down the aisle with husband Oliver Levy in 2019, whom he'd encountered through the quiz circuit, creating a year of mixed emotions. ‌ He recounted how he'd subsequently experienced a "crushing tightening episode of chest pain" whilst chatting with Celebrity Big Brother alumnus and Reggae Reggae Sauce inventor Levi Roots, after playfully addressing him by his birth name - Keith Valentine Graham. Paul quipped:"I thought, either I'm having a heart attack, or I've fallen prey to a mysterious Rastafarian death threat!", reports the Express. ‌ The comedian did indeed suffer two cardiac episodes within just seven days during last year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Meanwhile, he painted a stark picture of how his Parkinson's might affect him in future decades. "I'm well aware that in 15 to 20 years time, I might be completely immobile and totally expressionless," he revealed. ‌ Nevertheless, he deployed his signature wit to inject levity into an otherwise sombre moment, adding, "But hey - I'm still Australia's number one break dancer! Sometimes these things are sent to try us." Parkinson's Disease, a neurological condition, often starts with mild symptoms like tremors and balance issues. Yet, as it advances, individuals may grapple with mobility, speech, and swallowing difficulties, sometimes leading to reliance on a wheelchair. ‌ There's no known cure for Parkinson's, and while some experience rapid symptom progression, others manage years without significant impact on their daily lives. Comedian and quiz show favourite Paul has vowed to continue entertaining and challenging audiences as long as his health permits, promising to tackle life's hurdles with "optimism". In a light-hearted moment, The Chase celebrity couldn't resist playfully mocking the "unemployed" viewers, eliciting hearty laughter from the crowd.

Jack P Shepherd's chaotic love life that rivals Coronation Street's David Platt

Jack P Shepherd might have as chaotic a love life as his Coronation Street character David Platt. Here we look back at his love life as he gets married this weekend to Hanni Treweek On the Coronation Street cobbles, David Platt hasn't had the easiest time with the women in his life. His relationship with Kylie Platt was tricky and at one point, he was even caught up in a love triangle with his brother Nick. ‌ Elsewhere, he had feelings for his colleague and friend Maria Connor, and now he is with Shona Ramsey, who he met after her son Clayton killed his former wife Kylie. Shona and David are now married but their marriage hit a hiccup when she had an affair with Kit. ‌ Jack P Shepherd - who has played David for decades - might have a love life which rivals his character's. Ahead of his wedding this weekend, we take a look back at his past relationships - and his upcoming marriage to Hanni Treweek. ‌ Hanni Treweek Jack and Hanni worked together on the Cobbles, during her time on the soap between 2018 and 2020, but the pair's spark begun after they bonded away from the ITV soap set. They bonded at a mutual friend's wedding and that is where their relationship sparked. "We got chatting, I made Hanni laugh, we had a couple of drinks and we flirted. That was it," he said of their romance. ‌ After that, a chance encounter in a supermarket led them to start texting. He recalled: "I actually thought she looked fit I just saw the girl I fancy wearing Lycra! We quickly went on our first date and we just clicked." Jack called Hanni is "soulmate", admitting they had discussed marriage and children early on into their romance. He explained: "I think it is only sensible really to have those sorts of conversations with a partner or someone that you're dating even if you're going out for like a few months, as soon as you know it's serious." "I think we fell quite quickly and from that we just clicked, and we were on the same page, and you do have those conversations but yeah I think we would like to... in the future," Hanni added of the pair's plans to start a family. ‌ Jack and Hanni got engaged in 2024 during a safari holiday in Tanzania and the pair will marry this weekend. Lauren Shippey Before he was with Hanni, Jack was in a relationship with Lauren Shippey - who he was with from 2002. The pair share two children together - Nyla and Reuben - but their relationship hit the headlines for the wrong reason in 2010. In 2010, Jack was hit with scandal when news broke of an affair with sales executive Sammy Milewski. The pair split at the time but eventually got back together and he issued a public apology. ‌ At the time, he said in a statement: "On Sunday, there were some articles printed about errors I have made in my private life. Over the years, I have enjoyed a successful career with Coronation Street, and with this, I have experienced privileges that have exceeded my own expectations. The core ingredients to my success have come from the following areas; my family, ITV Granada, and specifically my girlfriend Lauren and daughter Nyla. "I would like to apologise to my family, for all the hurt and pain I have caused them, to ITV Granada for letting them down, and especially to Lauren and Nyla, who are the most important people in my life. I now need to concentrate on what is really important, my family and my career, as I have abused my position as an employee, partner and father, and for that I am deeply sorry." ‌ Sammy Milewski Jack had an affair with Sammy whilst with his ex Lauren. He has a son named Greyson with Sammy. It has been reported that he has never met the little boy but he fulfils his financial responsibilities after DNA results confirmed his paternity. Greyson has an incurable one-in-a-million genetic disorder called alternating hemiplegia, which paralyses parts of his body and leaves him in intense pain and has been in and out of hospital since he was born in January 2011. Marking Greyson's birthday back in 2021, Sammy wrote a paragraph praising her son: "Massive Happy Birthday to this amazing little man. What a year it's been an we're going into! with so many challenges but you never cease to amaze me, with everything going on in the world an struggles you deal with daily #AHC #paralysis yet you constantly light up any room with your witty charm and personality never letting anything set you back."
