‘Devil Wears Prada 2' Cast: Full List
The original film's actors-including Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci-will appear alongside newcomers like Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux and B.J. Novak, Variety reported.
Newsweek reached out to 20th Century Studios via email for comment on Wednesday.
The Devil Wears Pradawas released in 2006 and earned more than $326 million at the box office worldwide, per Box Office Mojo.
The movie is based on Lauren Weisberger's 2003 novel of the same name and follows the story of Andrea "Andy" Sachs (Anne Hathaway), an aspiring journalist. Sachs is hired as an assistant to high-fashion magazine editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly (Streep), but she struggles to keep up with the demands of the job.

The Devil Wears Prada director David Frankel, producer Karen Rosenfelt and screenplay writer Aline Brosh McKenna will also be returning.
The sequel was first announced in July 2024, and 20th Century Studios' official Instagram account revealed on June 30, 2025 that The Devil Wears Prada 2 is "now in production."
Following The Devil Wears Prada 2's confirmation last year, Streep took to her Instagram, writing: "Miranda will return."
Hathaway will be reprising her role as Mia Thermopolis in The Princess Diaries 3, and she spoke about the film, as well as The Devil Wears Prada sequel, in an interview with Women's Wear Daily in December: "I was so beautifully cared for on both of those films. I was a baby, like a legal child, when I made Princess Diaries-I turned 18 while we were making it, and I was a very, very young woman when I made Devil Wears Prada. I was so guided and looked after and cared for by the communities that made both of those films in particular, each of their directors, Garry Marshall and David Frankel. I'm so excited that now I can do that for other people, that now I have the knowledge and the experience and the confidence to take care of other people on sets in which I'm looked at as a leader."
Blunt previously said she was torn on a Devil Wears Prada sequel during a 2018 appearance on The Jess Cagle Interview: "If everyone did it, I would be up for it. I don't know if there's going to be a second film. I almost hope it doesn't [happen] because I think sometimes when you sequel everything, [it] kind of dilutes how special the original is."
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is slated to hit theaters on May 1, 2026.

Gunn did not state that Robbie won't return as Quinn, which is the general case for the filmmaker. Whenever a fan asks about a specific plot point or character, Gunn is no stranger to offering a direct answer. Gunn has shot down rumors plenty, but this time, he chose not to state outright that Robbie would not return. It would be believed that she could return as Quinn in some capacity. Gunn also revealed that he has been trying to find a way to bring back fellow fan-favorite, Idris Elba. Elba portrayed Bloodsport in "The Suicide Squad" and also became an instant hit. Bloodsport, being an assassin who has a change of heart and becomes a hero, while also having a deep rat phobia, was fantastic. "I definitely am always looking for a place to put Bloodsport and figuring that out," Gunn says of Idris Elba's ruthless mercenary from the 2021 sequel. "So we'll see what happens." Gunn is reportedly working on the sequel to "Superman," but there are also "Lanterns" and "Supergirl" coming down the pipeline. Both the series and film could feature more DCU characters, which would make a lot of sense. Jussie Smollett Denies Alleged 2019 Hate Crime Was Hoax
Back in 2019, Jussie Smollett — who you probably know best from his performance on Empire — was indicted on 16 felony counts by a Chicago grand jury for allegedly filing a false police report regarding a hate crime that he claimed to be the victim of. When filing the report, Jussie alleged that two men shouted racial and homophobic slurs at him while putting a noose over his neck and pouring bleach on him. In 2021, he was found guilty of falsely reporting a hate crime, but in 2024 the conviction was overturned by the Illinois Supreme Court. In a new interview with Variety that was published ahead of the forthcoming Netflix documentary The Truth About Jussie Smollett?, the actor maintained his innocence and claimed that he was a victim of the hate crime that he was eventually charged for allegedly making a false report of. 'The villains are the two people who assaulted me, the Chicago Police Department and, if I may be so brave, the mayor,' he said, referring to former Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel. Jussie also alleged that the 2014 murder of teenager Laquan McDonald by Chicago police officer Jason Van Dyke played a role in the scrutiny surrounding him. 'Could it be that they had just found out about the missing minutes and the missing tape from the murder of Laquan McDonald? he said. "Could it be that the mayor helped hide that?' 'We're living in a world where the higher-ups, their main mission, in order to do all of the underhanded things that they're doing, is to distract us with the shiny object," he added. Jussie went on to address the pair of brothers, Abimbola and Olabinjo Osundairo, who eventually alleged to authorities that they'd planned the hate crime hoax along with the actor. 'All I can say is, God bless you, and I hope it was worth it,' he said. 'Every single other person's story has changed multiple times. Mine has never. I have nothing to gain from this.' When asked why exonerating evidence supporting Jussie's claims hasn't yet emerged six years after the initial report, he replied, 'To be honest with you, I don't really know. I'm not an investigative reporter or a detective. I can't sit and tell you exactly, beat by beat, what happened." "I can only tell you what did not happen. Diane Von Furstenberg Expands Line And Unveils New Campaign

Yet that is precisely where Diane Von Furstenberg's famous wrap dress was in 1976 when it appeared on Newsweek. The dress that debuted 52 years ago was revolutionary not only for its simple and chic design but for how it met the moment for the lives of modern women juggling work outside of the home for the first time en masse. Now, over half a century later, the brand, which has expanded its offerings to fit many cosmopolitan women's wardrobe needs, is evolving further with the addition of a denim collection. Additionally, launching in time for the Fall 2025 collection is a new campaign that harkens back to a young Diane Von Furstenberg. Directed by creative director Nathan Jenden, who has been with the brand in various stints since 2001 and returned in early 2024 after a three-year hiatus, the denim collection offers a festive floral print, structured dark denim, and expands beyond typical jean silhouettes such as five-pocket and original Levi-inspired jackets. In dark denim, the Michele jumpsuit in denim knit is inspired by Diane's Studio 54 days, another style is a double-breasted jacket dress, and a fit and flare bustier dress. For the Fall 2025 season, the brand tapped model Ansley Gulielmi for a series of images styled by Emma Wyman and shot in New York City by Brianna Capozzi, who has shot campaigns for the brand Pinko and celebrities such as A$AP Rocky, Indya Moore, and Selena Gomez. These images and Gulielmi bear an uncanny resemblance to DVF in the 1970s, a la her Studio 54 and Andy Warhol portrait days. Another picture of the model lounging recalls a memorable photo of the designer sprawled across her bed, which features a curved sunburst pattern, in a room swathed in florals, lace, and a leopard print rug. Key styles include knitted jacquard suiting and reversible coats lined with faux fur, satin pants, tweed suits, and modern pinstripes on chiffon. Prints, a brand signature, and textures include lace, mesh tulle, plaid, and the Ginkgo Fan print, which returns in a neutral, muted tone. Trompe l'oeil silhouettes merge chiffon skirts with matte jersey bodices, giving the illusion of separates in a single piece. The Virginia Blazer dress returns, as does the tailored DVF shirtdress. Tie neck details meet chiffon dresses, and a smoking jacket appears in satin and printed knit for occasion dressing, with sequin pieces, organza, and hand beading offering additional options.
