Shares of Star Imaging and Path Lab are set to debut on the BSE SME platform on Monday. Ahead of the listing, the stock is trading at a grey market premium (GMP) of around 4%, indicating muted listing expectations. The Rs 69.47 crore IPO of Star Imaging was open for subscription between August 8 and August 12 and received a strong investor response, with an overall subscription of 5.67 times. The Qualified Institutional Buyer (QIB) category led the demand with a subscription of 12.85 times, followed by Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs) at 4.38 times, while the retail portion was subscribed 2.32 times. The issue was priced at Rs 142 per share and comprised a fresh issue of Rs 55.66 crore along with an offer for sale (OFS) of Rs 13.80 crore. Anchor investors had earlier contributed Rs 18.52 crore. Star Imaging, incorporated in 2004, operates a diagnostics and imaging network offering X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and pathology services. For FY25, the company reported revenue of Rs 83.79 crore, up 5% from the previous year, while profit after tax rose 28% to Rs 15.96 crore. The company posted healthy margins, with EBITDA margin at 34.22% and PAT margin at 19.10%. With a GMP of just 4%, investors are eyeing a modest premium on listing day. The actual listing performance, however, will depend on broader market sentiment and investor appetite for healthcare and diagnostics plays.
