Public Reactions and Support
A video posted on social media recently captured the attention of thousands across India. The clip shows a woman gently rescuing a crying infant from an abandoned structure in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. That woman was Major Khushboo Patani , a former Indian Army officer and the elder sister of Bollywood actress Disha Patani Her act of compassion not only highlighted her quick-thinking but also introduced many to the woman behind the uniform — a figure of strength, empathy, and courage.Born in November 1991 in Bareilly, Khushboo Patani completed her early education at BBL Public School. She then pursued Electronics and Communication Engineering at DIT School of Engineering. Initially joining a multinational firm after graduation, her life took a significant turn following a traumatic college experience. She recalled being stalked by unidentified men, which deeply shook her confidence and led her to question her safety and path forward. Her encounter with an Indian Army captain during a college campus event changed everything. A presentation, particularly a slide showing a female officer, became the turning point that inspired her to join the armed forces. Khushboo cleared the SSB exam on her first attempt and began her journey in the Indian Army, eventually earning the rank of Major.Khushboo Patani served in the Indian Army for over a decade, during which she travelled extensively and adapted to different terrains and cultures. The experience, she noted, opened her mind and transformed her understanding of freedom and mental resilience. Her time in service taught her the significance of inner strength and self-mastery.After retiring from the military at the age of 34, she embraced a new mission: wellness and mental health. Today, she is a certified fitness coach, spiritual healer, and TEDx speaker. She also practices tarot reading and uses social media to share messages on self-discipline, fitness, and emotional healing. With close to one million followers on Instagram, she continues to inspire with her holistic approach to well-being.On an ordinary Sunday morning, Khushboo was out on a walk when she heard a baby crying inside a rundown building. With no clear entry point, she climbed a wall to reach the source of the sound. Inside, she found a baby girl, around 9–10 months old, injured and left alone. She immediately picked her up, provided basic care, and brought her home before contacting the authorities. The child, later identified as Inaayak, was reportedly kidnapped at a railway station and then abandoned. Khushboo shared updates in follow-up videos, stating that the girl was handed over to police, who eventually located and reunited her with her biological parents. However, Khushboo expressed concern for the girl's well-being, urging officials to ensure she receives proper care.In one of her posts, Khushboo wrote, 'Jako rakhe saiyan, maar sake na koi. I hope she will be taken care of by authorities and whatever is the chain of command ahead with proper rules and regulations.' She also called for stronger action to protect girl children in the country, tagging the Bareilly Police, UP Police, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The emotional video struck a chord online, with comments pouring in from celebrities and the public alike. Disha Patani commented, 'Bless you de and the little girl,' while actor Bhumi Pednekar added, 'God bless her and you.' One user wrote, 'Just cried seeing this. Sad, but what a beautiful moment of humanity. More power to you!'Khushboo's actions were hailed as a symbol of selfless bravery. Some called her their role model, while others praised her for being in the right place at the right time. Her swift response not only saved a life but also highlighted the importance of individual responsibility in moments of crisis.

Deepika Padukone NOT Dropped from Kalki 2, Sources Deny Fallout Rumours
Last Updated: Deepika Padukone has not been dropped from Kalki 2, say sources. The film is still in pre-production and casting has yet to begin. No on-set fallout occurred. Amid swirling rumours that Deepika Padukone has been dropped from Kalki 2, sources close to the film have categorically denied any such development. The buzz, which gained traction online over the past few days, claimed that Deepika had a fallout with the film's team and co-star Prabhas—a claim insiders are now calling 'completely baseless." The truth? Kalki 2 hasn't even begun filming yet. According to sources, the much-anticipated sequel is still in the pre-production phase and no official casting has been locked in. 'They haven't even approached actors because it's still in development," a source told NDTV, debunking the theory that Deepika was dropped due to 'on-set friction." As another insider pointed out, 'There's been no shoot, no interaction, and therefore, no fallout." The speculation appears to be an extension of earlier reports involving Deepika's exit from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's upcoming film Spirit. Rumours suggested the actor had demanded 8-hour workdays, a higher salary, and a share in profits—conditions that reportedly did not sit well with the filmmaker. Adding fuel to the fire, Vanga shared cryptic posts on X (formerly Twitter) criticizing actors for wanting 'luxury," which many assumed was a dig at Deepika. The situation escalated when Triptii Dimri, fresh off her success in Animal, was announced as the lead in Spirit. While Dimri confirmed her casting with a grateful Instagram post, the timing led many to conclude that Deepika had been replaced. As for Kalki 2, no such decision has been made. The rumour mill may be churning overtime, but for now, Deepika's involvement remains a matter of speculation—one not supported by any official word or concrete development. Until the film moves forward, one thing remains clear: there's no drama where there's no shoot. First Published: June 06, 2025, 16:14 IST
