Did Alia Bhatt Just Confirm Her Alpha Spy Cameo In War 2? Here's Why Fans Think So
With War 2 gearing up for its grand release on August 14, the trailer of the much-anticipated YRF Spy Universe instalment dropped earlier today, promising explosive action, cinematic scale, and a dose of patriotic fervour. Starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, and directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film is already drawing massive attention — but it was Alia Bhatt's cheeky reaction that sent fans into a frenzy.
Taking to her Instagram story, Alia re-shared the War 2 trailer and wrote, 'Mazedaaaaaar 🔥🔥🔥 See you on the 14th. In a cinema near meee."
While the message may seem like a routine show of support at first glance, the specific mention of August 14 and her playful tone have only intensified speculation about her cameo in the film's post-credit scene. The buzz around Alia's entry into the YRF Spy Universe has been swirling for months, particularly with the announcement of Alpha — YRF's first-ever female-led spy film, co-starring Sharvari Wagh, set to release on December 25, 2025.
According to a report by India Today, both Alia and Sharvari are said to appear in a mysterious post-credit cameo in War 2 — one that subtly teases the narrative of Alpha. 'It's short, yes, but it has tension, mystery, and a hint of what these two women are capable of. It's not just a cameo — it's a setup," a source told the outlet.
Another insider revealed that the cameo was filmed under tight security earlier this year, with only a handful of crew members on set to preserve the secrecy.
While Yash Raj Films has not officially confirmed Alia and Sharvari's involvement in War 2, fans are already connecting the dots — and Alia's Instagram story has only added fuel to the fire. If true, this would mark a strategic expansion of the YRF Spy Universe, tying the past (Tiger, Pathaan, War) with the future (Alpha) through seamless narrative integration.
Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha is expected to mark a new era in Bollywood's action genre, showcasing female spies at the centre of a sprawling espionage saga.
As the release of War 2 draws closer, all eyes are not just on Hrithik and Jr NTR — but also on the shadows, where the Alpha spies may quietly be preparing to make their move.

MAGA singer's Canada gigs cancelled: Backlash over Sean Feucht's anti-diversity views; organisers cite safety risks
Sean Feuch (Picture: Instagram) US singer Sean Feucht's permit to hold a concert at the York Redoubt National Historic Site in Halifax was cancelled this week by Parks Canada. Officials cited safety concerns following public backlash against his anti-2SLGBTQ+, anti-women's rights, and anti-diversity remarks on social media. Feucht, a religious performer with links to the MAGA movement, was scheduled to perform on Wednesday. His permits for other events in Charlottetown (P.E.I.), Moncton (New Brunswick), and some parts of Quebec were also revoked soon after. LGBTQ+ groups welcomed the decision. Cameron Cassidy, head of Pride P.E.I., said, 'The City of Charlottetown absolutely did the right thing by revoking that permit. It shows respect for the queer community.' But not everyone agreed. James Turk, director at Toronto Metropolitan University's Centre for Free Expression, said cancelling a permit over a person's views is dangerous. 'The foundation of democracy is public discourse, including ideas we disagree with,' he said. 'Censorship only amplifies such voices.' Feucht later performed at a private venue in Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia, hosted by pastors Christine and Neil Barr. They said they faced hundreds of hate messages and some protests but went ahead with the show. In response to criticism, Feucht posted: 'If I had shown up with purple hair and a dress, no one would've cared. But my Christian beliefs are seen as a threat.' Opponents said his views go against Parks Canada's values of inclusion and safety. Turk countered that while physical safety must be ensured, 'a subjective feeling of being unsafe' isn't legal grounds to silence someone.
